This place doesnt even deserve one star. Today my family and I went to eat there. Everything was fine until we payed. The cashier was extremely rude and racist. She treathened to call the freaking police if we come back again and Im not having that. If she has a problem against Latinas then she should take it elsewhere. She probably thought that we were undocumented Hispanic. But we showed her when we called the police ourselves to defend our own self. She clearly never heard of freedom of speech. I do not recommend this place. Specially if you have kids dont go here. I was with my younger sister and brother and this women didnt care to threatened us in from of them. Horrible experience definitely we will NEVER go back. This was our second try and the experience didnt get any better than the first visit.

I have been here only a few times for breakfast, once was when they had a breakfast buffet (no buffet anymore). Both of the other times I had biscuits and sausage gravy which were really good both times. Wait staff was prompt and courteous. Some others in our group had pancakes and eggs which they said were good. Place had a good atmosphere, was a little bit loud but thats how it is just about any restaurant you go to these days. Prices are reasonable. Cant rate at 3.5 stars, so I went with 4 stars. We will go back if we are in town again.

Walk right in an pick your table amongst the locals or maybe the saddle barstools are more your style. This is THE breakfast spot in Bandera, but the lunch and dinner options are just as good. From the country breakfast plates to omelettes and the burgers to the enchiladas, you cant go wrong. Convenient hours and hearty portions (though not to be confused with healthy) for a decent price. Friendly atmosphere where tourists are made to feel like regulars. Dont forget to the a peek at the John Wayne memorabilia wall!

Good food, at least the breakfast. Its nice to have lots of options on the menu. The kids loved the saddle bar stools. They have a Sunday morning buffet with chicken fried steak and chicken. Both are great tasting. They also have great sandwiches, breakfasts, fries and onion rings. They only thing we havent completely loved is the lemon meringue pie.

Overall this is the best place to eat in the city. They serve breakfast all day and there is a chicken fried steak breakfast plate thats great. The duke chicken fried steak is big. Its really big and I cant eat it all. The place is clean and they have awesome buffets. The service is usually good and speedy snd Tables are clean.

Have been there about 4 times, dont know about rubbery fries. They have been just fine, however i do recommend the DUKE BURGER. FUN place to eat, has alot of John Wayne memorabilia. Has a saddle bar too. All I have to say, try it youll like it.

We ate there yesterday 11/7/2015. The service was crappy. The Duke chicken fried steak was tough. The biscuits were hard and cold. We have been before and the food was great, but this time it makes you even think you will never go back.

First time there a few weeks back and had the shrimp seafood "platter". Portions were lacking, food quality was "ok" but for the price, they need to step it up a couple of notches. Server was great. I may give it another shot.

Ate here twice and loved it. Super friendly and really good food. I had breakfast and the eggs were perfect and the bacon is to die for. I had the taco salad for lunch. Super good! The saddle bar is awesome and worth seeing.

Ive been here dozens of times. Great Tex- Mex! Cheese Enchiladas smothered in chilli are excellent, and breakfast tacos are both fantastic. Friendly wait staff. Great old-Texas feel.

Food is tired and uninspired. A lot of fried foods in oil that hasnt been changed in months. The wait staff is nice but the food isnt all that great for the prices being paid.
