I love Pluckers! It is a go to when I am wanting something fat and fried and just all around bad for me. Ive been a fan since I moved to Austin. I first got hooked when I worked at UT and they had a UT staff discount day once a month. Hello team bonding over fried goodness. During this stint we were convinced to join the Pluckers club too. The free birthday meal (up to $15) was worth it alone. Who doesnt love a free meal! I tend to get the same things at Pluckers. Ive had the BBQ chicken salad (or something like that) which is huge and so not healthy but at least I am getting some greens in. My go to meal is the boneless wings basket. I love the Honey BBQ sauce and havent convinced myself to try anything new. A tip: always get the waffle fries. My biggest complaint is that the food never tends to come out piping hot. I would think that if the waffle fries just came up from the fryer Id burn my tongue eating them when they came out but that doesnt seem to be the case. The service tends to be decent throughout my Pluckers experiences. I will keep going back because sometimes a girl just wants a bunch of fried food and a cold one to wash it down.

No thanks! We drove all the way from hutto. We get there. ....our pager didnt go off....so we waited forever. .....i go to ask. ...."you went too far" we were in the fenced off area they have. We get sat. 4 people....2 forks. ...1 napkin. We ordered our food. They upcharge for split wings. I cook. ...not any extra work. ....or product. Food comes out about 20 minutes later (long for wings and cold fries ) the fries were cold. I had the grossest garlic parm wings in my life and hot wings (extra charge). My hot wings had a great flavor....but hot. ......i drank my soda. ....it was empty. The server came by and asked if i wanted a refill. I said yes. ....she came by later. ....without a refill....."oh im so sorry. ...ill be right back" i havent been eating my wings because they were hot (the highlight of my trip) .....she comes back. ..."oh i forgot your drink again. ...want a to go cup? " ....no.....i still have food. ...i want a drink. ......she finally comes with A REFILL! A men .....i can finish my wings. .....and drive back to hutto.....and never go to pluckers again.

As a pluckers member, I love and go to this restaurant all the time. I have come to know many great employees here. Today, We were served by the cool, clever, funny and gracious person named Troy. This is why I love Pluckers. The first reason is the delicious wings I dream about during all the time I am not here. Then, its all about the culture. Most of that happens because the management knows how to pick them. To hear my two friends belting out laughter while Troy still maintained the order of things was outstanding. They are a tough crowd. We met Troy at the bar before being seated and already developed great rapport. Then he happened to be our waitor. Goodtimes. Listen, when you go out to eat, it is an experience. Some people treat their help extremely poorly, but need to realize that they are doing you a massive favor even though you are paying for the service. I come back to a heavily crowded amazing place like pluckers, because every aspect of the experience is top notch. Food, Ambience, and Customer Service. Cheers. PluckOn!

wifi - ask server for pw? download 58 Mbps upload 5 Mbps I have had bad experiences with Pluckers take out in the past and avoided eating here for several years. However, I have given them a third chance and my resentment is under the bridge. Reasons for one is the wifi. Very decent high speed internet, where in the past I had issues during fantasy football drafts at the south location. Maybe each location is different but it is difficult to find a restaurant with high speed wifi in NW Austin. (I wish Google Maps have locations where Google Fiber is served at retail locations. If a business uses GooFi, they can have a verified badge next to them, like Twitter verified check mark.) Wings are great, I now get the buffalo hot and garlic parmesan. They seem smaller than I remember from years, but then again. The fried pickles are the best in town IMHO. Service is great at this location. Was going to just give four stars but I dont have any reason to deduct a star based on my last three visits.

Their food is undoubtedly good but their customer service could use some work in the front of house. Almost every time I order take out Im put on hold and forgotten about. I know this because I just hang up and call again. Miraculously someone is there to take my order this time! This probably happens 75% of the time without exaggerating. When picking up your food, even when its ready and waiting for you, the staff will take forever to charge you and hand it over. One time an employee had to get a guy change in cash and disappeared for like 15 minutes while everyone in line was getting annoyed. 5-7 other staff members just walked around without the care in the world. Super annoying. So if youre eating there youll probably have a good experience though an expensive one. But if youre looking for quick and easy takeout then this isnt the right place. Youll have to pull teeth to get those wings into your custody.

I have only been to this location for their Wingo on Thurs at 10pm. Since it is also Thurs might football, this place is CRAY to the Z pre-Wingo, so parking and seating is scarce. So come a lil after 10pm when the FBall crowd trickles out and things calm down a little bit. They usually have the 1L mugs of XX on special for $7 and I have never had anything but the Holy Mac here. With the chutney, it is where its at, but in all honesty, the fried Mac n Cheese sticks here are not quite as good as the RR or UT Campus locations. Not sure what it is, but they are way too crumbly and a lot greasier here...? The service is pretty decent and consistently so and the hostesses at this location are not as stuck up as RR, which is a def plus. I cant speak to the wings here, which is I know is what these guys are known for, but my friends seem to love them, so take that at face value.

"Pluckers... Home of the freshman 15". Yes, they actually sell shirts that say this. Now, while they have no shame in selling their bad/good food, I have to say they are not as unhealthy as they market. I do a paleo diet (which is VERY limiting if you are unfamiliar with it) and regularly eat here! Chicken salad comes loaded with veggies and topped with a vinegarette dressing. And I cant resist the sweet potato fries (sans cinnamon sugar). And not only can you find healthy options, but you can find great service. Did you know that they review your entire order for pick up to make sure that nothing is wrong? Apparently, they didnt put enough sweet potato fries in my box and sent them back to the kitchen for a larger fresh order and I didnt even ask them too! Your just fine in my book, Pluckers!
