Wingzup is AWESOME. Forget what other people say, heres what you need to know: 1) The wings are top notch and a great deal. The flavors range from delicious honey mustard to scorching ghost pepper, with combinations in between that both puzzle (Bay heat? My wife loves it anyway) and delight (spicy garlic!). This is bar none the best wings Ive yet found in Austin. Im a bit of a wing fanatic, Ive been to Pluckers and all those other places, and theyre good. Wingzup is better. Their standard buffalo sauce is great too. And on Mondays wings are 50 cents. On Tuesdays boneless wings are 50 cents. On Wednesdays tenders are a dollar. That is an incredible deal any of those days you come. The rest of the food is great too, from poutine to waffle fries to mozz sticks. Its all done as if theres a decent chef back there thinking about it. 2) The beer. Theyre really proud of it and they ought to be. Their beer is served CRAZY cold. Apparently the hoses from the kegs to the taps are only a few feet long (the kegs are right behind the tap wall), so the beer doesnt lose any temperature, it comes out ice cold, colder than anywhere else Ive had it without a frosted mug. Their happy hour specials on mugs and their tower beer thing make it a great place to sit back and watch the game. 3) Sports stuff. Watched the BCS champ game here, loved it. Its an open space where you can see a TV no matter where you sit. The one thing is that it might be hard to watch something when everyone else is focused on another thing, but thats true of almost all sports bars. Definitely give this place a try, especially on Mon, Tues, or Weds when you get the deal. One day on Weds we won the trivia night and got 50 dollars in coupons. Maybe that makes me biased but I like to reward generosity and quality with repeated visits. This is a regular spot for me.

I have visited Wingzup twice. The first visit was about three weeks ago, great time, great recommendations by the waitress, and good boneless wings. Solid visit while they werent busy. But todays visit sucked enough for me to write this. I had bought ten "premium" golden wings to-go with Spicy Lemon Pepper and Jamaican Jerk, but I found the wings were burnt. Like, black charred chicken wings burnt. I had to season the wings myself since they put the sauces and rub on the side, which I did not expect. I was hungry, so I did not bother getting out my pans to season the wings properly, and just dipped them in the plastic to-go cups. That sucked. I suppose some might think I should had opened the box before I left. Unfortunately that didnt occur to me, as I only peeked into the bag to check if there was the Fried Macaroni that I ordered. Seeing that, I was happy to walk out the door. I was accustomed to how Pluckers does it, with the wings already seasoned, separated by foil in a single box for different sauces. This one just had ten wings together with all the sauces in a separate brown bag. Additionally, the communication ball was dropped while I was waiting for my order. I had come in and ordered to-go, and ended up sitting around for 25 minutes watching people who had come in after I have receive their order. Waiter did not relay to whoever brings out the food that I was already in the restaurant, and not a phone-call order that was going to swing by. Lisa, you were polite and noticed I was sitting around and had found out that information for me, which I am thankful for your awareness, but this experience has left me upset with a bad taste in my mouth. Next time Ill save myself the trouble and just go to Pluckers in West Campus, or just pop some frozen chicken tenders into the oven.

WingzUp is so bad it has inspired me to finally write a Google review. I think restaurant reviews are normally a little unnecessary since one experience doesnt really mean much, but Ive been to this place several times now. I go because its the only bar within walking distance and my boyfriend likes to watch Monday night football there since we dont have cable. The service is usually terrible because they are understaffed. Apparently they have no concept of ambience- the lights are way too bright and tend to point in your face if youre sitting at the bar. They have WAY too many TVs which doesnt really affect me, but it seems absurdly wasteful to have 17 tvs in a small place that is one big room. I might have a better experience with food if I just got the wings, but Ive gotten the poutine a few times because I love poutine, thats why I was initially excited about this place. But its just been getting progressively worse, and tonight I got a really pathetic plate of fries with a sprinkle of cheddar cheese. Im normally a very agreeable person and I honestly dont think Ive ever complained about anything to a server in my life. But I brought up the cheese because it was not cheese curds as advertised on the menu, and cheese curds are what make it poutine and not cheesy fries that you can get at StakenShake! I guess I need to be a little more assertive because the food obviously looked sub-par and I should have gotten a discount, but alas, I paid full price. Never again.

Great happy hour drinks and awesome variety of wings. I came here to watch the superbowl and got the chicken and waffle plate which turned out to be really good! The menu did take awhile to get to us, but overall the service was very attentive and quick for how busy it was. The parking lot is definitely too small to accommodate all the businesses in the shopping center, so expect to drive around a bit before making it inside. I actually liked how many TVs there were in the room although I do admit it was a little excessive. However it made for watching the game great from any angle you happened to be sitting in.

Probably among my 10 worst dining experiences. Took well over an hour for my simple order... which came out in pieces, it having gotten messed up in the kitchen. I should have left when it took forever to even get a menu (it was quiet and staff was standing around). The wings were ok but not great, and they were cold by the time I got the fries they came with. Enough had gone wrong that they knocked a bit off the price (when I complained), but it was still a total disaster. Maybe I just hit them on a bad day and I should give them another shot... but with so many good options, why bother?

I will say this now: The best wings in Austin. You will hear about other wing places in Austin but I feel this place has THE best wings. Meat quality, sauces, and service all As across the board. Also they have multiple displays for your game to watch. Service was excellent. We didnt even ask for it but our server was unsatisfied with one of the drums and had the cook make few extra ones to make up for it. I highly recommend this venue for sports lovers.

Went in to pick up to go order today. PRIOR to placing the order I stated it would be paid separately. My sister goes in to pick up the order and the manager Merill gives her such a hard time to split up the payment even though I specifically said it would be split PRIOR to giving him any of the food order. I called to discuss with him afterwards and he was extremely rude to me and hung up!!! This was only my second time here and I will NOT be returning.
