I stumbled across the Garden Spot during an internet search for caterers in the Austin area. I was flying a little blind since our company is from out of state but I saw the other reviews and decided to give them a call. From the initial phone call to learn about menu options and pricing to delivery, we were thrilled. The owner took my order and was friendly and efficient and made suggestions that made things easier for me. She took the time to call the office staff where the food was being delivered to confirm her directions were correct and get any other pertinent information. I received a quick and accurate invoice via e-mail and had confidence that everything would go off without a hitch - and it did! The gentleman who set up the food was prompt, efficient and quiet during our meeting. The food was a HUGE hit and, surprisingly, no one had ever eaten at the Garden Spot before this day but said they definitely would be in the future. Our event was a great success thanks to the Garden Spot.

My favorite item here is the veggie wrap with the works (excluding tomatoes because yuck). Couldnt tell you the calorie count on this bad boy, but assuming with the added tortilla plus hummus and guacamole on it, it probably isnt exactly health food, but he combination of flavors makes it super yummy. I always tell myself I am going to only eat the one half of the wrap to save for later, but always end up eating the whole thing just because it is that good. If you are aiming to try something a bit more on the healthy side, I would recommend the garden spot salad. Sans dressing, I believe it achieves dietary unicorn status as paleo and vegan! I rarely eat anything else but those two thigns from the menu because when you have a good thing, why deviate?

Our company is based in Dallas but we have quartely meetings in Austin. I searched and searched for a caterer who had a menu up to my standards, as my husband is a chef. I know good food when I see it. Their menu was fabulous not "ho hum" in any way at all! Our meeting facilitator is extremely HARD to please where food is concerned. I cant count the times she has said "Dont order from so and so again it was terrible." NEVER have I received that response from her where Garden Spot is concerned, she LOVES it! Did I mention she was HARD to please. :0) Garden Spot is our caterer of choice.

I heard about Garden Spot through my son and met with the owner to discuss catering the rehearsal dinner for an upcoming wedding. I had lunch at the cafe to taste their fare and was impressed with both the taste and selection to choose from. The catering was handled very professionally by wonderfully friendly staff and we received many compliments on the meal. This is a great group of people to work with and I have already recommended them to friends. I just wish they were a little closer to my workplace for lunchtime runs! Thanks to all of you! Cathy

Garden Spot ALWAYS does a phenomenal job with taking everything down, delivering the food on time, setting the food up, and serving the most delicious food. OMG -- THE Best Veggie Wrap, with The Works, I have experienced!!! THANKS !! I am working, two days a week, at INTELLIGENT SLEEP in the same strip center. Garden spot is basically an alternative to thunder cloud except with a lot more options. Garden spot has a ton of sandwiches on their regular menu and they have daily specials. I steer clear of the daily specials though as they always seem to include something ridiculous like jalapeno/raspberry/banana mayo. Im guessing they throw darts at a list of random produce to come up with those combos. Other than that its a pretty good place to eat.

Garden Spot Cafe has incredible customer service and amazing food. The majority of the stuff is made in-house, and as a person who is usually left unsatisfied with vegetarian dishes, I am in LOVE with their veggie sandwich. I think the pricing is fair, too, and I am a regular customer of theirs. Definitely try it out! It may become your favorite go-to spot as it is mine and my coworkers.

This place is the place to go if you want a delicious sandwich, friendly service that remembers you, homemade soups, and fast service. I really enjoy the chili, super delicious! Every day, they have a meat and a vegetarian special that comes with a sandwich, side, and drink for under 10 bucks. They even have a punch card! I love this place!

Finally dropped by for lunch after 5 years of working almost across the street. The food was decent, and they had good vegetarian options. However, it wasnt spectacular. I expect a bit more out of my food if I pay $8 for a sandwich. Also, if Im paying $8 for a sandwich I dont expect to pay extra for mushrooms!!

I just got back from a trip to the Florida Keys, and this place kinda reminds me of there. The decor is "keysy", the people are easy going, and the food is very tasty. The menu has a lot of variety as well. Im going to have to add it to my regular lunch rotation and bring the wife sometime.

This place is kind of hidden even though it is right off Burnet. However, it is well worth the find. The wraps here are my favorite. This Austin restaurant / cafe is well worth the try if you are looking for something new. The staff here is always very friendly as well!

Positively wonderful. Always fresh, always clean, always friendly! Such a great eclectic Austin feel, and mega delicious. I never have a bad experience here. The staff is so welcoming and always great me by name. This is my favorite lunch spot and I know my sandwiches.

Food and service here are great. My personal favorites are the pastrami, the cali club and (of course) the strawberry lemonade. But the best thing is that these are some of the nicest people youll see all day. A great lunch spot.

Good, but not amazing. Im not sure why my Reuben came with mustard and provolone. Seating area felt a little unkempt and greasy. The manager was super friendly, which is enough for me to try Garden Spot again.

Delicious sandwich place. Carefully selected ingredients, premium meats, and unique sandwich choices. The chili is spot on. Make sure to try the sliced wheat bread. It makes every sandwich even better.

I like the food. Usually get their chicken salad. Employees are friendly, locally owned and they have one of those "buy ten get one free" punch cards, which is always a plus for loyal customers!
