There were both good and bad things about this restaurant that I loved and hated. Id give it 4 stars but there were just some things that I cant forgive to get that high of a rating. Things that dinged it were frozen foods instead of fresh, kitchen was slow, and no Bamboo shoots. Number one on the list is using fake crab and frozen calamari mix in the seafood Ramen. Id rather pay more and get at least a few pieces of real crab (even canned crab) than use the fish based fake stuff. What ended up happening is that the great seafood broth they started off with turned into a fishy mess as the fake stuff disintegrated. Pretty sure the other seafood in it was frozen as well. Chewy, chewy chewy! The other thing that was a turn off was that the other dish we had pork belly curry) was not an even temperature. The corn was from a can and cold and just dumped on top. The base of the curry ramen was also really thick and cold in spots like it had been made ahead of time and then thrown in the bowl. That being said the spice was spot on. Heat level was accurate and once everything was mixed up it evens out the temp. The goods at the sushi bar were covered in plastic which gave it the impression it wasnt fresh. The sushi was good though and not crazy priced per roll. Over all a good value. I hate to be so critical but when something is rated 4-5 stars that sets the bar pretty high. Id rate this a college 5 star. Real life only 3. For the money it was great. Good portions, nice presentation, and very friendly and fast service and attentive. Maria was great!

I love both sushi and ramen, and want to like this place as much as the other reviewers, especially since there are hardly any other places that serve ramen in Arlington. However, this restaurant is just underwhelming. Ive given them a number of tries, and theres always a problem; dry rice, bland dishes, and most recently, sour tasting sprouts. The staff is very friendly, but Ive given up on the food.

I really dont understand why this place has such a good rating. The sushi is descent and the prices are good but the atmosphere is terrible. The place was literally empty except for one other couple and we still waited a half hour for our sushi. There was a massive leak in the ceiling; it sounded like it was raining and the bathtoom was disgusting. Hope we dont get sick from the food!

Sincerely some of the best food youll ever eat....... EVER. Small staff but unbelievably nice with amazing service. If youve ever wanted to go to Japan to know what REAL Japanese cuisine would taste like go here first because this is better than much of what youll eat there, and the rest is equally as good but you wont find something better. Get the Miso Ramen.

I love this place, my family and I come often. The food is awesome, the staff, the prices are great and I love the music they play. Its a family runner business and thats how they treat you when you come in. I personally love their crunch roll and their heart attacks. If youreally in Arlington, this is a whole in the wall joint you wanto to check out!

Okay, I have worked at sushi restaurants in Atlanta and this tinny, hole-in-the-wall is 100x better than those places. The miso -- great. The sushi -- flavorful and good portions. The curry made my husband nostalgic to back when he lived in Asia. I will not be going anywhere else and you shouldnt either.

Boyfriend got this frothy ramen with really bad bean sprout in it or something. It tasted awful like broth was made with dirty dish water..... My ramen was okay, until I found a piece of the green part of a wash sponge in it.. Really gross out. Does not seem like a very sanitary place.

As someone who has lived in japan for 2 years and had the freashest sushi in my life, this chef knows what hes doing with authentic Japanese cuisine. Highly recommend to anyone and every one. You wont find better sushi in all of dfw and their ramen is just as amazing

Quite unimpressive. The five types of sushi that my party ordered all tasted funky. The ambiance is completely lacking. Im unsure of the ramen quality, but do not recommend their sushi. With as many sushi options as there are in the area, pass on this place.

The fish was perfect. The rolls were outstanding. The miso soup was yummy. But best of all its cheap, like half what I usually pay for equal or inferior product. The outside doesnt look like much but inside is really clean and nice and modern.

Great experience every time! Wonderful staff with great attitudes. Very friendly and always give great service. The veggie tempura and fried calamari is delicious with the sauce and I love the udon noodles. Definitely a frequent customer. :)

My kids (teenaged boys) introduced me to this place and Im glad. A storefront sushi joint next to a high school didnt really sound appealing, but I like ramen, so I went. Worth it. Have been back several times, good staff, good food.

Is a great surprise for first comers, is one of those "hidden jewels" because isnt in a very popular location neither has a recognized name, but the food and service are above expectations and with fair prices. You should try it.

Frequent customer to this place. Love the buta kimchi and the katsudon, hand rolls are good as well. Sushi chef sure knows his stuff and always a friendly waitress near by! Highly recommend over other local sushi buffets

Absolutely amazing. Rolls are delicious and a great price and the miso soup is a+. The wait staff were really friendly. Its a really great lunch spot near the university. Over all a really wonderful place to go.

Came here for the first time today with my husband. The ramen was great. The restaurant is very laid back. Its like an old school ramen shop ran by people in their 30s. They played 80s music while we were there.

Fast and friendly service, food was ok for the price. The tempura sweet potatoes were underwhelming and did not use the usual lighter batter so they held too much oil. Food flavor was tolerable but not the best.

We fell in love with this place when we lived in Arlington, and now come all the way over from East Dallas just for the food and Marias smile! The Gyoza is fantastic and their fried rice is my favorite in DFW!

Im a student at AHS and go here for lunch sometimes. Staff is incredibly kind, the food is delicious, and the light in the room is super nice. Was true the first time I went a year ago and is true now!

The service was the best part. Buut, the ramen is overpriced. For the same price you can get a large bowl of pho with so much more meat. Also, it wasnt that good. I enjoyed the sushi.
