On my birthday my boyfriend treated me out to eat at Hickory Falls. The restaurant had a very welcoming and relaxing environment. It is a semi-formal restaurant, though you could go there in jeans and a t-shirt. My boyfriend and I were all dressed up and no one looked at us like we were out of place. It was clean, peaceful, and the food smelled delicious. The greeters were warmhearted and it was nice and quiet. They sat us down and didn’t harass us about when we were ready to give them our orders. When we were ready to give them our orders they were respectful and calm. They didn’t seem rushed at all. They took our orders and it didn’t take them long to bring our food out. The salad was fresh, crisp, and wonderful and I enjoyed it a lot. The spaghetti was also very fresh and hot. It was full of flavor. Our server never let our cups get close to empty without refilling them either. My boyfriend and I were also able to have a conversation without having to shout because it wasn’t too loud. I enjoyed how calm it was. The whole time I was very relaxed and I didn’t feel like they were just trying to get my money and make me leave. They gave us plenty to eat for just a little bit of money. I loved having my birthday dinner there and I recommend it to anyone who wants to go out and have a neighborly, quiet, and relaxing dinner.

While I have been to Hickory Falls I’ve never gotten around to giving them a review…seems I am slacking a bit…LOL The food here has always been good from the bread with honey butter, crisp salads, great entrees, and delicious sides (especially the mashed sweet potatoes). Some of my favorites here are the Prime Rib and the Hickory Falls Rotisserie Chicken. One word of advice on the Prime Rib, I like mine Medium Rare so I always ask my server if they would check with the kitchen to see if MR is still available. The Prime Rib is always fork tender and flavorful. The Rotisserie Chicken…a half a chicken juicy and well-seasoned. One important part of the enjoyment at Hickory Falls…the people. From the hostesses to the servers all are great and attentive. As I normally patronize the bar, I have to call out the exceptional service from Hayley. I may only visit once a month, but she knows my beer and if I am there on a Friday/Saturday evening she asks if I am there for the Prime Rib. Her skills behind the bar are incredible to watch…she is a machine churning out the drinks for people! Always a smile, keeps an eye on you if you need anything, while working a very busy bar area.

We went to Hickory Falls for the first time tonight. We had flown into Nashville and were looking for a nice, casual place to eat. We were seated immediately by a nice hostess who recommended the Mac and Cheese and fried shrimp as one of her favorite meals. Our waitress, Deeda, came to our table very quickly after we sat down at the table. She was friendly, attentive and suggested her favorite items on the menu as well. The menu had many items to choose from. Our drinks were never empty, the food was very fresh and the ice cream cookies and cream dessert was awesome! The manager Blake, paid us a visit as we were finishing up our dessert and explained that most of the items on the menu were made fresh at the restaurant. He thanked us for coming in and made us feel like they appreciated our business. We needed this type of service and food tonight because of being tired and hungry from flying. It was a great relief. I would suggest this restaurant to everyone who enjoys fresh, tasty food and superior service. Thank you again Hickory Falls. You exceeded our expectations.

It was late on a Saturday night, we went in hungry and were not disappointed. We started with the spinach artichoke dip, it arrived quickly and it was very good. We each ordered a steak, small 7 oz sirloin that the menu promised to be seasoned with garlic and butter, my friend had asparagus and I had mashed sweet potatoes. Our food came out so quickly that I was sure that it wasnt ours as they approached us with it. It looked delicious, the cook on them was perfect, I had Med Rare and she had Med. Sadly, they werent seasoned at all. Not a shake of salt touched either steak, my friends asparagus was bland as were my sweet potatoes. We shrugged, added some A-1 and kept it moving. When the server came to check on us we were each about half way through our steaks, we told her they were cooked just fine but hadnt been seasoned at all. She took them back to the kitchen and returned with our same steaks, this time they were buttery, garlicky, and salted. Service was great, food was good, I will give them another try in the future.

I wanted to go someplace new to me for my birthday dinner with my brother so I picked Hickory Falls because it had good ratings. I was so very disappointed with my steak (Sirloin - med rare): it was like overcooked shoe leather with liquid smoke poured over it - I ate only 3 bites but didnt want to make the server feel bad since she had recommended it. The Sangria was served in a water glass with NO fruit in it............seriously? The service was good, the Onion straws were awesome and my brothers ribs were delicious (he shared a little). Had I ordered the ribs I probably wouldnt even be writing this review. ......and would it break your bank to write off the $3.50 water glass Sangria for someones birthday dinner or bring them a cupcake.....or something? I will probably be back for the onion straws and ribs but definitely not for any celebratory meal.

My family came to this restaurant after church today, we had a party of 14 with a high chair. I called ahead just to let them know we were coming, they dont have call ahead seating. When we arrived, I approached the hostess and she rudely walked away. Another person asked if Ive been helped and I told him how many was in our party. Then Paul, the owner approached and advised he could seat our party separate. I explained that we would wait to be seated together. He rudely got in my face and said " DID YOU HEAR WHAT I JUST SAID"? I was taken a back by his RUDE response. My family and I immediately left the restaurant and I will NEVER return. Appalled with the worthless service!

the service was good, the place was clean, the atmosphere was relaxing and calm, they did not rush us but checked back often. the drink was cold and the food was hot. and yes the full slab of baby back ribs was "FALLING OFF THE BONE" .... BUT the food was overall bland. the mac and cheese was creamy but wow almost tasteless, the ribs had no flavor to the meet( almost like they were boiled) the fried stuffed mushroom appetizer was huge and tasted only of celery salt. the sauteed mushrooms did have taste( of white wine) but were swimming in liquid!!!! brown gross looking liquid! and the music made me feel as if we were back in the 80s

Yum... Not the cheapest place, but they have the best steak Ive ever eaten. Purchased the $7 onion straw appetizer, they brought a variable pillow case of the stuff to the table... There was enough for 5-6 adults to fill up on, and theyre delicious. They brought me the wrong steak, immediately corrected it without me having to speak up, and the manager comped my appetizer and desert for that... Wow. The waiter and manager were a delight, they obviously care about earning repeat business. Eat here, youll love it!
