Visiting Nashville last weekend, I read about this place online. I decided to check it out because it was close to where I was staying and I enjoy trying local places. I arrived on Saturday, May 28 around 9:45AM. Only one person was working at the counter and, even though it was not crowded, it took approximately 15 minutes for me to place my order because the line moved extremely slowly. I ordered an egg sandwich with Peto and Feta cheese, and a large coffee. According to the menu, the prices were as follows: Coffee- $2.00 Sandwich- $2.99 Pesto- $.69 Feta-$.99 This would have been $6.67, with tax a bi over $7.00. The clerk charged me $9.50, but I didnt want others to wait so I just paid it. I took my number card and sat at a table. Twenty minutes later, the food had yet to come out. When I went to the counter and asked, she said it likely had not come out because they were busy. When I said it was just a simple sandwich and it had been twenty minutes minutes, she said "Yeah, were busy." She went to the kitchen to check, and I heard an argument abut whether the ticket went in, whether it had been filled, and whose responsibility it was. At that point, I was running extremely late, and just asked for a refund., I was never given an apology, and can honestly say, as someone who eats out seven or eight times per week, this was one of if not my worst dining out experience.

I believe this place gave me food poisoning... And if that isnt bad enough; you should read the rest of the review: Was out and about late at night and needed some grub before a show. My girl and I zipped inside to try out this cool "hipster hangout open 24/7". We poked through the place and thought it was very neat, the heat was nice and toasty, and the selections looked awfully diverse. After waiting 15 minutes in line to simply order we paid $20 for what ended up being substitute for a frozen dinner from Kroger. There was no seating so we had to sit outside in the heated patio with cigarette smoke all around us. Finally our food came and my "made-to-order pizza" looked like a tostidas pizza. Her California wrap with pineapples was the equivalent of matter mashed together inside of a tortilla. But dont worry, the obviously frozen-isle fries really brought the whole meal together. We ate and left, looked at one another and said: that places gets a 2.. maybe. Fast forward to 6 a.m. the next day, I awake to find myself quite queasy. After projectile vomiting my entire meal from the previous night; I was then blessed with spending the day clutching the toilet as the flow altered from one end to the other. This place is overpriced, tastes terrible, is very slow, and made me spend my Sunday afternoon feeling like I had died.

Well now shocked would be one way of putting it. Using the word shocked means its fabulous under any part. The food is different. Being a guide sure has helped me meet a variety of people. Jake is very well designed in the ways 1. GREAT customer service .not only. Behind the counter but in the presentation of the food. It is not a star bucks, for its far better on some many levels. The Decor is simply unique from the patio to the inside. This place has gotten my attention on so many levels i cant convey how wonderful this place is. The staff is one group that is so talented that any person could enjoy from young to old. This place even draws Nashvilles finest. Even the ambulance drivers. Its times like this you wish you could give them even more stars. This is the hottest place in Nashville in my opinion for meeting the in and out crowd. If you come this way no matter the time day or night please take this guides advice and come and bathe in this atmosphere. Hey guys and girls of CafeCoco your the greatest. Thanks a lot.

i liked this place untill i got a boot on my car at lunch when there was hardly anyone there .... the managers and waiters all say the same thing .. "we watch 3 or 4 people a day get boooted." Hello .... those are your cutomers!! those signs are made to look like pay for event parking until you go read the paragraph ... what kind of place watches people pay fines out in the parking lot connected to the building and doesnt put up big signs informing people not to park there ... the kind of place that probably gets a percentage of the fines ill bet! yes i know pay 2 dollars like your supposed to right .. the whole thing is misleading if you ask me and if i owned the place i would make damn well sure everyone got the picture when they pulled in the lot ... or heres a thought buy more spaces for your customers ... if the situation wasnt covered by the local news because it happens so much i might not feel as strongly about it ....

I was visiting Nashville for the weekend and had read great things about Cafe Coco so I decided to try it for lunch. When I walked in there was a sign alerting customers that all items are made to order so it may take a while. No biggie, I can wait a few minutes. I ordered the Greek salad without the grilled chicken. So basically throw salad in a bowl with some veggies, super simple and easy. 50 minutes later and I finally got my salad. I understand that food is made to order and done by ticket number, but can you tell me how a salad can take FIFTY MINUTES to throw together? I loved the atmosphere and vibe so I was trying to hold out but right close to an hour for a salad is beyond ridiculous. Next time I am in town I definitely will not visit Cafe Coco again. I also recommend you dont visit them either.

While the food at this cafe is pretty good, not overly priced, but they do take awhile to get the food out. We had egg sandwiches on bagels and they were simple but good. The coffee and pasties are great too. But Beware: if you are going to park here. There are limited parking spots with "cafe coco" on them which are free. A group of friends and I thought we could get some breakfast sandwiches to go and made the mistake of not paying the parking meter for a parking spot not labeled cafe coco. They booted both of our cars in 10 minutes and it was not so fun. There are signs on the door warning you to pay the meter for parking and realize that they are very serious. (It would have been nice for the staff to say something like hey they will definitely boot your car, but they did not).

Its sort of decent here, I guess? People just come here because its open 24 hours. It might be a fun place to hang out if youre really young. Otherwise, the place is just too small to accommodate the business it gets. It makes things very slow, and on top of that, the customer service is lukewarm at best. Ok, heres my #1 complaint: OMG, get a real internet connection! Like it or not, a sizable majority of your customers expect a functioning wifi connection at a coffee shop. You need more bandwidth, and you need someone besides your 16-year-old-cousin-whos-good-with-computers-and-stuff-and-comes-by-every-other-week to install and maintain your network! And clean your bathrooms! You can smell the urine in the hallway!
