In sixth grade, I only liked Taco Bell, and yet my parents forced me to this new Mexican restaurant in town. I tried it, loved it, and made a steady habit of dining at Sol Azteca 2-3 times a week for years. Now that Im back in the county, we strive for once a week or two, which is never enough for me. My favorite restaurant, and although the service is neglectful at times, the food redeems this slight shortcoming (besides, Im no diva; I can wait an extra minute for a refill, and my ever-expanding waistline shouldnt mind a breather between refills of chips and salsa). The Pollo Loco is arguably the best item on a menu of best items. It is a helping portion (or two) of chicken marinaded in a housemade sauce for two days before freshly cooked to order. Most other Mexican restaurants grill chicken and throw queso on it, labelling it a Pollo Loco. Sol Aztecas is delicious; try the Pollo Loco salad as well, if youre wanting a slightly healthier item. Best fajitas, with vegetables finely roasted and sauteed in some sauce that I may start asking that they provide me as a beverage. I cant say enough about this place and the phenomenal memories provided in its corridors. Alberto rules!

Love the Ishmael special it was awesome but the steak tacos very bland, the chicken chimichanga was great...but everytime I go the service sucks takeout was best option for us. Once you get your drink good luck on a refill. So might tell them light on the ice. They never asked if we wanted dessert just plopped the bill down on the table and walked off first time I left a tip last two times I didnt get anything from me for the service!

Used to love this Local Favorite when I was younger. Went back as an adult & it was less than mediocre! When I received my meal, My Vegetables (a Bell pepper to be precise) had the produce sticker on it from the grocery. So I know my food wasnt washed before it was cooked. I was irritated & the server told me to pick it off to the side. Like it was no big deal.

Use to be my favorite place to eat dont seem like the same people work there anymore went there tonight with family and the service was bad the girl that waited on us never came to check to see if we needed anything else till we were about done poor service

Too many drunks for me, had a fly in my cheese dip and they tried to double charge me for it since they had to bring me a new one. The waiter was a nightmare and super hateful. Definitely not my first pick in town!

Good Mexican-style meals with good service, a kind of hometown favorite. The chips and salsa before the meal are unlimited, usually not to busy during the day until about 5 oclock especially on Friday nights.
