This place looks inviting, and has a great vibe going on, but its super loud and super slow. There now that thats out of the way, we came with a group of 4 at lunchtime on a weekend, and pretty much swiped a table as another party was getting up. It was crowded inside and out on the large patio. They have a huge beer selection, in fact I think that menu was bigger than the food menu! The food menu posed a lot of different (at least to me) combinations and types of sandwiches. I couldnt find many ordinary things on there. I was happy I went outside my comfort zone and tried something different. It was pretty delicious! The mashed potatoes are to die for!! Refills took so,e time and we would go quite a bit without seeing our waitress, but it was semi busy, but lots of staff. And no one seemed overly friendly in the joint. But they did give us stickers when we asked, and they sell growlers and other branded merchandise if thats your thing. It was good but nothing really wowed me, but its a great place to get a beer or 2 if youre in that area!

Great little restaurant in 12 South! My girlfriend and I split a ribeye steak, and it was delicious! My girlfriends exact words were, "This is probably the best steak Ive ever had." Loved the atmosphere of the place, and beer selection was extensive and great. Even to a beer newbie like myself, I was able to find something new to try and greatly enjoyed the local Nashville brew I got. I appreciated the wait staff checking in on us and making sure we were taken care of. I will say, though, to be ready if this is your first time going that you wont have one waiter/waitress at your table. The whole staff checks up on all the tables, so you might asked if youve been served multiple times. I personally appreciated it; my girlfriend (whos a waitress at a chain restaurant) thought it was a little disorganized but we had no problems. Dont be afraid to flag someone down politely and ask for a beer or to order. Theyll take care of you, for sure. Hope to be back soon when Im in Nashville again!

The original 12 South hang spot. Killer patio, AMAZING craft beer menu (always rotating, always eclectic, includes high gravity options, your taste buds will thank you). If the rib eye special quesadilla doesnt blow your mind, then you were eating it wrong. Only great live music, happens sparingly, which makes it even more of a local safe haven. Its the understated interior that makes it what it is. Go here for long chats with friends, casual evenings, and amazing food. If you want to see and be seen, there are literally hundreds of other watering holes to choose from. This place is cool without trying to be.

The place is so loud you cant hear yourself think, let alone have a conversation. Ordered food, an hour later no one in the place knew anything about our order. Told the waitress to forget it and bring our bill. At least she was cool enough to knock a couple of beers off the bill. For this reason only, I may try them once more at a different time of day. Beer selection was good, prices were decent. Service and atmosphere were among the worst Ive seen. If you want forgetful ,inattentive,unorganized wait staff, and tables full of frat boys screaming to the top of their lungs this is the place for you.

Terrible food, overpriced and plain bad. They had a great server who was the only reason wed go but they fired her the other night. She was quick and courteous to seniors. As a senior its hard to find people who are willing to take the time and deal with elderly peoples needs. Since they let go the only thing going for them we have stopped going to the 12th south taproom. Im not a negative person but I want everyone to know what they are getting in to when they go to a garbage restaurant like the 12th south Taproom.

I always have a good time here. The oysters are some of the best Ive ever had! Huge selection of drafts and bottles, GREAT food from the kitchen, fun patio and wonderful atmosphere. Service is really the only thing lacking here - Ive been several times and still cant figure out how they organize it. I will have 4 different people ask me if I want my first drink. Then will wait for 30 minutes to get a refill because no one stops by our table.

Our waitress didnt show for five minutes and when she did, she never introduced herself. We waited probably fifteen minutes before we got asked if we wanted to order dinner. The wait for our food didnt take long, but my Aloha Philly cheesesteak had no flavor at all,.and was way over priced. I ordered a beer, which I never received, but I was not charged for it either. I will not be returning.

Great beer list! Staff is hard working and the food was tasty. There are TVs to watch sports and indoor /outdoor seating with full service in all areas. I would highly recommend checking this spot out if getting away from the main drag in Nashville is your thing, it was definitely what we were trying to do and we felt like we accomplished that after finding this restaurant

My family from out of town are beer lovers and we enjoyed our lunch here. Server knew his beer varieties well, and was able to make recommendations that were a "thumbs up" with our family. Seating/tables are a little close together, and the place was packed. Luckily there was one table available so we didnt have to wait. Down-home and very college-kid-like.

Perfect neighborhood beer bar. Incredible choice of beers makes this place a go to. They recently started serving Bells on tap. That in itself is a reason to hang out here. But their outdoor seating and great waiter service seals it. Vegetarians have a couple of options to pick from. I wish there were more, and thats my only complaint about this place.

I love the Taproom. I actually feel like it is my neighborhood pub. Sweeney, Ray, Nancy, Tristen, Win, & Chrissy are all so wonderful. They have a great selection of beers in bottle or draft. Even though the food is expensive, it is really tasty. I suggest the salmon blt. the 12th south neighborhood had definitely a great place because of this bar.

Beer selection here is always top notch which is why my friends and I frequently here. They have local brews of every variety as well cider. They are currently revamping the outside porch which will make it even more enjoyable to go to. The tacos and burrito are great also. Cobbler for desert will not disappoint.

Great selection of beers and great proffesional staff. I like how chill the atmosphere is, and enjoy the food. There is no place like it in Nashville. Reminds me of northwest bars with better service. Only down fall is no french fries. If you didnt enjoy yourself you probably have issues that a bar wont solve.

I loved the location and beer selection, but Ill think twice before going back after how rude some of the servers were. Two of them in particular were so unfriendly that it tarnished my first time experience entirely. Team-style service seems nice in theory but falters when something like that happens.
