It is a shame that I even need to write this review. Genghis Grill used to be a favorite quick meal of ours. The food was fresh and well prepared. Service didnt require much as you prepare your own bowl, but we never had an issue with drinks or being waited on properly. However, things have changed drastically. We had a bad experience a couple of months ago, but thought it was a fluke. The food wasnt good and I suspected that I had mild food poisoning. We thought it was an "off" night and I thought maybe I had a touch of something and we didnt think about it again. This Saturday we decided to go back. We had an awful experience. We waited more than 10 minutes to be greeted at our table. We were actually getting up to leave and the waitress came to get our drink orders and give us our bowls. It was annoying, but we thought she was simply busy. We got in line and I immediately noticed the meats were of lesser quality. The chicken was frozen. Anyone who prepares food knows it is not safe to attempt to cook chicken while frozen. I realized my previous trip could have been food poisoning, after all (and now after reading other reviews, I see I am not alone). Nevertheless, we fixed our bowls and handed them off. We waited 1 hour for our bowls. ONE HOUR! My husbands bowl was finally brought to him, but not mine. I saw what I thought was my bowl (only because it was sitting next to his on the counter) be taken to another table. Three-four minutes later, another server brings this bowl back to the counter and explains that the customer said it wasnt theirs. They stood and talked about it another minute or two and brought the bowl to me. I said, "I am not comfortable with this. I saw you take it to another table and they had to have picked through this bowl to determine it wasnt theirs. Not to mention it sat in front of them for almost 5 minutes. Shouldnt I make a fresh bowl?" I was promised the customer hadnt touched it, but how could they know? We were discussing this (which shouldnt have even been a discussion) when it was determined the name cards had been completely mixed up and my meat and veggies had been put with another customers starch. The server walked the bowl to the grill and without knowing I was watching, the grill guy dumped the bowl I had refused back on the grill and started picking out the rice that I hadnt wanted. I was done. I walked up to the grill and told our waitress we were leaving. Shocked, she said, "Oh, he is fixing it for you." This was not acceptable. Also, immediately prior to the bowl incident, my husband went to the restroom and while washing his hands, watched a food preparer flush a toilet, come out of a stall and not wash his hands. We watched and the non-hand washing employee was right back out placing food on the buffet. This and the fact they were trying to give me a bowl that had been served and left with someone else was the last straw. Before we left, my husband communicated the hand washing incident to the manager and was scoffed at....the manager didnt believe him. I dont know what has happened with management at this place, but all of the previous employees (cooks who had been there since it opened) are gone. It is not the same and we will never return.

Stopped coming here but had a coupon . And gave it another try . That was a mistake. Everytime I come here my bowl is never the toppings I chose and its burnt! This time my topping where on somebody elses starch . When inspecting my food, I touched it to make sure I received the wrong toppings. The staff then went to get my right bowl which had already been served to another table. I refused it due to the starch mixup and unsure what the other guest had done to the food(hands etc.). They allowed me to remake my bowl, yet they served the food I handled to the other guest. Isnt there some health code violation here?!? After speaking to the manager, he said it was fine. They took off our drinks. Needless to say, I dont think we will be back at this location anytime soon. The only reason they are getting two stars is the waitress was wonderful. Outside of that, stay away.

This is a good place to go if you want to eat with altogether with different choices of beef, chicken,fish,veggies,greens, and sauce. It is all your choice what kind of sauce you wanted to. so basically its your responsibility of how you want your food to be cooked. The customer service from the reception to.tje server to cooked are all nice day friendly and very very attentive with your need. If you need anything like spoon they will attend to you right away as soon as you call for their attention. I have no complain and the only thing they need is toupdate their place and everything else will be perfect. I recommend this place also if youre looking to eat a healthy food.

My family used to love this place but the last visit was very disappointing. The new management does not have customer friendly policies. They have eliminated the Bottomless Bowl and that was our biggest disappointment. The service was extremely slow and we waited for 90 minutes for our order to be served. Many people in the restaurant left without eating as there was so much delay in service. There was completely no acknowledgement from the management or the staff about the delay in service. This restaurant is out of our favorite restaurants list and I will be very hesitant to go back again.

Im from Seattle where they have this wonderful local chain called Mongolian Grill. Its the same thing as Genghis Grill, but much less complicated. You grab a bowl, fill it up, choose your meat, then they grill it. Kind of like the Chipotle of Asian food. Genghis Grill, while a good experience, seems to unnecessarily complicate the whole process with servers and additional menu items. As a standalone experience, it was good. Good service, good food. But I think they could make the experience better if they made it less of a sit down place and more of a casual Chipotle style experience.

I wanted to start by saying I love their food, but their Service is lacking. I went to this location on Saturday, March 5 for dinner. I herd the Bar Tender saying that 1/2 of their staff walked out on them. If I was the Manager on Duty I would have done one of several things 1. Called in or asked other Employees to either come in or stay over to help 2. Closed the Restaurant and took the hit on sales or 3. give the Customers at least 10 percent off their meal or a free desert. I had to wait an hour in a half just to get my food. What I should have done was a dine and dash.

the reason im giving it 5 stars is because i selected all the ingredients and portions myself and im the best decider for me. that said, the meats, seafood, veggies, condiments and rice are all super fresh and cut and prepared for hot singe style cooking. if youre reading this review, than you are giving it some serious forethought. do yourself a favor and go to their website and research their menu for ingredients so you wont be a lost soul when selecting the right stuff for yourself. do that, and youll give the place 5 stars just as my wife and i are doing. YUMMY!
