Since there is no option for a 0 star, I have to give this place a 1 star. I was intending to write a review for this place since there have been multiple bad experiences here and these guys are a PRO at doing the same thing all over again and again. Well to begin the they can have basic customer service. They are RUDE and when I say RUDE they go to extent of saying mean things on your face if you ask them for something. They start talking about your upbringing and childhood. There is a lady who serves food and she will literally throw the order on your table and walk away. And if you decide to choose to pay through a Groupon coupon, do that at your own risk because these guys are not going to take that good.. STOP putting deals on GROUPON if you dont want people to use them!!! Coming to their food now: Well, they are not very good at that either. There are better options for Indian food in the area. And sometimes for in between buffet they might just sneak in a couple of stale items from previous day and admit that its only from yesterday shouldnt be that bad!! Bravo!!! We are done with this place now. Better to try some other place than face these people and eat their mediocre food!!!

I went with my wife to this restaurant to have dinner. I had been there before several times and the food was ok. Although my wife was not too impressed with the quality of the food, I convinced her to try it and she did.. The most awful part of this journey was when I presented my Groupon voucher with my payment to the waiter he told me I have been coming here and using Groupns too many times and the restaurant does not make money if people like me came and did not spend enough money there. What a hell. What kind of business establishment tells their clients such a stupid thing. For one thing people pay money to buy Groupon voucher and the vouchers are not free. Secondly, a business establishment does not need to advertise their service on Groupon if they treat the Groupon customers like that. So, I told the waiter why in the hell you guys offer deals on Groupon? You dont need to offer deals on Groupon if you guys dont think you are making money. I also told him that I will never go to Bombay Palace anymore nor I recommend them to any of our friends. What a terrible way to do business and treat your customers....Go learn some PR before you get into business buddy....

We are new to Knoxville and found Bombay Palace deal on Groupon. It is a small and cozy place. The food was delicious and I must say " The service was EXCELLENT!" We had Samosa, Lamb Rogan Josh, Chicken Korma and Garlic Naan. We love spicy food so we asked to make it Indian Spicy level, yes, the chef got it perfectly. The assistant manager came by to check on us and the waiter never let our water ran out. We were very pleased to find this restaurant. We went back a several weeks later as we had another Groupon. We showed the groupon voucher before we order and the waiter said "well take care of that at the end of your dinner" and went on to take our order. We did not receive any negative reaction about using Groupon again. The service was EXCELLENT as usual and the food was so good. We had Cobi Chilli (Fried Cauliflower with sweet chili sauce -omg, to die for. you must try this), Karhai Tandoori Chicken Sag, Chicken Korma (my favorite), and garlic Naan. Again, the assistant manager came by to check on us and the waiter was polite and diligent. They packed our left over to take home. Well be going back to this restaurant with or without the groupon. :)

There are three brothers running this place and they have no idea of how to run a restaurant or at least serve the customer. If you take food in there, its like you have committed a crime. The brothers stare you directly into eyes if you ask them about anything. Food is served in buffet pattern. The serving area is small and not at all clean. There is no variety in food. the food itself there is pathetic. Although I think the brothers knows how there food tastes and they charge less for it like $10 per person for the buffet. These guys served us our cheque even before we were finished having our lunch. The only good thing in the restaurant was the cleaning guy, they were able to clean the tables after we were done with our lunch so perfectly, that it would give the next customer wouldnt know what kind of mess he will be going through.

I and my friends were there for dinner and the appetizers served were either stale or had odor. We ordered chat papdi, samosa and tikki. In case of chat papdi the bread(papdi) had an odor. The potatoes in case of samosa were also stale and smelly. Tikki was fine. Later when we told the server about it, he started arguing that its not bad and I asked him to taste for himself. I have never seen something like that in any other restaurants. Later the manger apologized and asked us to stay and have the dinner that we had already ordered. The dinner was fine, but I dont think it was of that great taste. I was really disappointed with the quality of the food. If you can compromise with the quality and would like to pay more then this is the place to go. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant to anyone!! Hope this helps!!

This restaurant is the best Ive been to in a long time. Great service and the atmosphere is legit. The Lamb kabobs and chicken kabobs are AMAZING! I can describe to the waiter on what kind of food and taste that I am looking for and they nail it EVERYTIME! I honestly wish I would have came here from the get-go. they make you feel as a part of their family. my drink would be half empty and someone would already come and refill it back up. now thats what I call a superb service. the one thing about their service is that even after you get your food, they come back 10 minutes later to make sure this is the way you wanted it. they even give you small samples of other suggestions!!! I would rate this restaurant a 5 star. I recommend all of my friends to come here from now on.

Flying Horse lager for the table, good company, and a charismatic server set a good scene for our dinner. The app was some tika sampler, and wasnt very good. Dry chicken and freezer burned shrimp. Fortunately, the "chat" I ordered as a backup app was amazing. Sadly, I dont recall which one I ordered. We had Rogan josh and palak gosht, and while both were good, I loved the palak gosht. Nan bread was pretty good as well. Desert was (if I recall correctly) Gulab Jamun; fried goat cheese balls in honey. Holy crap so good. Well definitely be back for dinner again. Two things; take the advice of the server if youre not knowledgeable/comfortable with the menu, and dont order anything that doesnt come in some sort of sauce ("wet" dishes). They dry ones are very dry.

Terrible and worst food I ever ate in my life. We came to visit from Ohio to gatlinberg tn. We search for halal food and unfortunately we found Bombay palace. We ordered chicken and fish which was poorly made and taste was disgusting. Customer service was bad. Only naan were just ok. If u visiting from other states and want to waste your money on their bad food which taste awful. Go ahead. But my suggestion dont waste your money like we did today. Will never recommend this place .i truly believe that their reviews r fake online as this place dont deserve to be in rating of 4.2 instead it should be 0.1. We wasted our gas on 50 mile from gatlinberg to Knoxville. Very bad experience. Dont go there.
