Dear Mega Classic Diner I just got home from eating at your establishment at 2:01am and I as a consumer of your product and someone who works in the service industry myself have a few suggestions and complaints. I will start off with the complaints my first one is that I my self ordered a third pound burger my burger was cold and throw together like it was some second rate Mc.Donalds I expect better from a "Sit down restaurant". My friend ordered a Mega Hanny Pita and a side of fried pickle chips and cheese sticks. His pita was cold down to every bite the meat should have been steaming the fried pickle chips were burnt and covered in oil the only thing that was decently edible was the cheese sticks. My PREGNANT friend ordered the western omelette with hash-browns and a side order of sausage gravy. Her hash-browns were burnt to a crisp and it took over 20 minutes for your cook "mark" to get her sausage gravy to her while her food was getting colder than it already was. I went to pay the bills and I asked for some form of compensation and your "head of the staff" said there was nothing she could do because she has no authority to please her customers. She gave me a number to call that I WILL be calling in the morning to speak to the manager. The moment my pregnant friend walked out your door she vomited in your parking lot. I went back inside and asked your "head of staff" if she knew of the boil water warning in flint that is currently still in effect and she said she knows of it but she dont know what kind of water you have let alone weather or not your cook "mark" is using it in his food preparations. When I also asked why it took so long your "head of staff" was more than glad to blame it all on the cook and not take the fall and say it was the whole teams lack of effort as a team. A service establishment should run as a well oiled team and your team consist of not friendly people let alone willing to be a team player once again I work in the service industry and I am disgusted in the lack of team work in your business that needs to be fixed pronto when one team member is in the hole your whole team should be in the hole helping dig that member out in stead they poured the dirt over "mark" I honestly feel bad for all who work at your business and i will NOT be eating at your diner again. When I notified your "head of staff" about the E-Coli warning. She did not care to hear for the sake of the consumers she proceeded to interrupt me and say there is nothing she can do because she knows nothing about the business she works for. I consider that lazy not to learn every inch of where you work regardless of your job expectations. Your wait staff was talking quite rudely within earshot of how I did not tip her for her bad service. This behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated! I will be by in the morning expecting a FULL refund. If the service does not improve 100% I will be forced to contact the better business bureau and notify them of your lack of intelligence and service. My suggestions are GET A COMPLETELY NEW STAFF a staff that does not stand as a team does not know how to run a retail store let alone a "sit down restaurant" another suggestion of mine is have all employees learn every inch of your restaurant and how to handle it in all in-case measures. Another suggestion is let your wait staff know that talking about your customers behind their back while they are still right there is unacceptable. Another suggestion is have your staff learn how to be efficient and not lollygag around the business while they were walking around chatting and having a "Good Time" they should have been cleaning or asking the cook or "head of staff" "hey its slow how can i help what should i do there are customers waiting out there and that is not good for our business" also i suggest that you tell your wait staff tips are not required they are earned with good service they need to know not to expect tips with bad service.

Its not my worst dining experience (thats reserved for a Waffle House in Baton Rouge), but as far as diners go, its overpriced, the service is hit or miss (sometimes we get a great waitress, sometimes we get one who seems to forget we exist, the staff constantly changes), and the quality of food ranges from bad to, at best, moderately acceptable. I generally only go to Mega at times when all other places are closed, but even when I have gone during normal daylight hours, Ive been disappointed with overcooked bacon, eggs with too much milk, overly crunchy, crumbly toast, too soft hash browns, etc. I dont expect diner food to amaze me--I have lower expectations for diners than other restaurants--but in my opinion, most of your money here is going towards the overdone, classic diner "atmosphere." Go to Johns down the road instead (next the the Valero at Corunna and Dye). Its smaller and its hours arent as varied, and its usually the kind of small place to close on holidays, but Ive basically become a "regular" there and, as far as diners go, its comfortable and friendly and the food meets my expectations for a diner. Its the place where the staff is consistent and gets to know your face and name, your "usual" order, not just somewhere I go because nowhere else is open.

I came thru the drive thru and I waited for 19 mins and went inside and asked for a refund. The cashier went and got the manager, the manager asked what I did I have, I told her and I told her that I wanted a refund. Not only did she make me wait while they finished fixing the food. She brought the food out and refused to give me a refund. She told me that I didnt wait 25 mins, only 16 mins. She told me that she couldnt offer a refund, there was my food. I tried to talk to her about a refund. She told me there was my food and she walked away. I asked for her boss info. The cashier told me that she was the head person, she was the part-owner, I couldnt speak to anyone but her. She also told me that they pay for the food and I ordered it so I had to pay for it too... I wouldnt recommend anyone to go there because you dont just treat any kind of way because you OWN" the place....I will make sure to tell everyone of the experience I had!!!

I recommend no one to eat here. I ate here often with my brothers with poor service but one day was the last strike. My brother and I went there late night as usual and ordered. We never got our drinks until the end of our meal even after asking several times as the guy walked past our table. I paid with a debit card and days later I called my bank to listen to my transactions only to discover I was charged $55 for 9.52 omlet. Calling them weekly (sometimes twice a week) waiting to get refunded. The excuse was waiting on the owner to come in which is never there til they could never find the transaction. Turning in proof that they errored tremendously I still had to dispute it with my bank "manager " suggestion. I think she was just tired of me calling and the fact that she knew who our server was told me that This is something that has happened before with this server. NEVER again!!!!!
