We traveled from Florida to West Virgina and back with a 14 month old. So after 2 days of being in the car we needed a break and a good meal. I looked up places to eat on Google and came across this gem. Im big on local spots and trying new places so The Shack was calling my name. I was defiantly looking for some Tennessee bbq and found that and more here. We arrived right after they opened so we were the first there. Our server was polite and helpful. She engaged with conversation and accommodated us with anything we needed. The food came out fast and delicious. I had the bbq pork sandwich with fries and green beans and my boyfriend ordered the rodeo Burger. Everything came out perfect and the cheese fries were an added bonus. A gentleman came out and asked how we liked everything ( I believe he was the owner or manager) and engaged with us for a good while. He even allowed our son to play corn hole with him and meet some of the locals! This place has defiantly been added to our favorites and our next trip out we will for sure be back! Thank you so much for all of the hospitality from your staff to us on such a rough day. You turned our entire day around!!!

This is the third time we have tried this place, leaving time between visits hoping the mistakes made were a one off. They werent. Picking up a to-go order and being told they were out of fries is inconvenient, being told that as you watch several orders of fresh fries being served to the customers in store is very discouraging, as I am fairly sure our order was placed way before theirs. A substitute of a baked potato? That would have been tolerable if the potato had ANY THING on it or with it. Just a plain old potato, cut in half. And The Rebel burger with no onion ring? I am very disappointed, once again. Third time is the total opposite of the charm.

Pretty good food, will be back. The Alabama white sauce they have, weve had it in Alabama and make it at home so we know what it is and what its supposed to be I recommend they lay off the lemon juice or vinegar but not saying it was nasty. Decent prices, friendly, enjoyable. Didnt have brisket which we were bummed about. And needed a bigger sides selection but overall good.

Love The Shack! My husband and I happened upon it on a trip for the drag races. Absolutely loved the food and service! Our favorite barbeque place! Its the best barbeque Ive ever had! We make special trips from Knoxville to eat here, often! On our way now, as a matter of fact! If you love barbeque, you dont want to miss this amazing place!

Very eclectic place. Nice people and great food. We went for our anniversary and were pleased with the selection. My daughter and I ate burgers that were awesome thick juicy burgers. My husband ate a pork barbeque sandwich that melted in his mouth. A laid back no frills easy atmosphere kind of place with good food! We will go back often!

Awesome! The place is small, but friendly. Very very very good food! The folks there are the best! I accidently stopped by one day and now it is 1st on my list of places to be. They have a wonderful patio, which is where you will find me (with Quixote). Try the chicken bacon ranch Quesadilla, it is fantastic!

Quick and easy stop off the highway. Owner came up and held the door open for our kids and us, and that remained the great level of customer service we received. They let my 2yr old tire herself out playing corn hole indoors, something thats making the remaining two hours of our drive go by a whole lot better!

This place is awesome. The service was great, very friendly and attentive. The sweet tea is tasty. The ribs are fabulousness, the baked beans are deliciousness in a bowl. The prices are outstanding. Your belly gets full without your wallet getting empty!!!!

Awesome food, great experience. Would highly recommend coming here. The BBQ is amazing. The servers are totally awesome. The owner wanders around and asks if everything is alright. Not a complaint in the world. Other places should take lessons from them.

On vacation from Minnesota. Found this place by accident. I had the smoked chicken sandwich and my husband had the bbq ribs. Everything was absolutely amazing! Great service too! If you are in the area it is definitely a must!!

OK. Lets get serious about all the 5 star reviews. This place does have great service, but their food is very average. I stopped here on my way back to Knoxville based on the great reviews, and was pretty disappointed.
