BBQ: Extremely good. Slaw (regular, not BBQ): very good. Hush puppies: too big, too greasy, too overcooked. Lemon Pie: not "homemade" but good nonetheless. Staff: friendly and efficient. Do not pass up a chance to eat here, just avoid the hush puppies (literally dripping grease, soaked through nearly all the way to the center). Yes, the BBQ is "dry." But what that means is they dont slather it with sauce or grease; so you get to taste the meat unadorned. Put as much sauce on it as YOU want; I prefer it plain, dry, without grease and fat drippings, and then I add a little sauce. Others prefer greasy, fatty, sauce-heavy meat; go elsewhere if so.

Ok, Im a local. I worked in Asheville for over 25 years. I consider myself a bit c of a barbecue snob. I had a good friend that was a national barbecue judge that I learned a lot from. I have cooked barbecue and competed in barbecue compititian. I have seen a lot of bbq places come and go. I have to say, all and all Little pig is codistantly good. Its moist with out being greasy. Its not over smoked. Its a good portion and the sides are good. They make their own sauce that is a vinegar sauce. Ive ate a lot of over priced, saw dust dry or greasy bbq over the years. I alway come back to Little pigs.

Were not in Texas anymore, Toto... but still very tasty. My husband and I drove up from Texas to visit family then came to Asheville for the day. We wanted to try Carolina BBQ before going back home and this place came highly recommended. Its definitely not what were used to it to at home but we were not disappointed. I think we might have to take a whole lemon pie with us too! The staff were also very fast and friendly.

The service sucked. The workers were very rude and disrespectful to me and other costumers. As for the meat dont even get me started; it wasnt cooked well and had a bad smell to it. Also they are racist, they put up a sign up recently that says "ramadan special pulled pork sandwich muslims eat free" i honestly will never go back there again and hope no one will go there and support their racist asses

Its been a few years, but as a 15 year resident of Asheville, I always liked Little Pigs BBQ for a quick lunch. Went to their only? remaining location. They take no cards or checks, but the cashier sent me over to their onsite ATM clearly marked that it was owned by the restaurant and I got hammered by a $3.00 fee. The food has gone downhill dramatically, I will not be going back.

Very mediocre. Not advised for true BBQ lovers. The chopped pork was mundane, very little smoked flavor, could have been oven roasted instead of smoked or fire roasted. very ordinary, Beans were terrible, tasted like they were straight from the can. Sauce was not very good. Best thing on my plate were the Hush Puppies. They were really good. I wont be going back.

Really hoped that we could give a good report, but Little Pigs BBQ just doesn't cut it. Our ribs were cold, the overwhelming mustard flavor with one of the sauces is not very good, the other sauce was just average. The best part of our dinner were the hush puppies, which were fresh and hot. It';s just not enough to make us want to go back.

The food was awful!!! The bun was old, there was no bbq on the sandwich - mostly slaw. I paid for 6 hush puppies but got 5. They tried to charge me over $11 for the sandwich and hush puppies but when I questioned the price, they changed it. The sandwich was the worst Ive ever seen. This is my last visit to this store.

The place was very dirty and food was horrible. When i walked in the place seemed a bit dark and dingy and it had an odd smell. Food was disgusting cold and had a weird taste like it was prepared the night before. Over all experience was very bad, I dont recommend this place for anyone, it was a waist of my money.

Food was delicious but for the price point, I would want to see a third piece of the "broasted" (aka fried) chicken as the two I recover were a bit on the small side. I added a BBQ sandwich to top off and that was also delicious. A little pricey for the amount of food but good eats for sure.

BBQ was old, tea was weak, beans were straight from a can, sauce, no comment. Hush puppies were grease balls. My wife said it must be bad cause I threw away nearly my whole plate. Sorry, I know what good BBQ is, and this aint it.

My grandfather and I eat here about once a month. We started coming here when I was still in elementary school, so over 20 years now. Hands down, this is one of the best BBQ places in Asheville! Big Pig Plate is where its at.

We are visiting from California and a friend from Atlanta recommended this place. I found some mixed reviews but our experience was great and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a real southern BBQ experience.

I am originally from Asheville ,and Little Pigs is still the best place in town to get barbecue . The hushpuppies and broasted chicken are delicious. This is the first place that we stop to eat when visiting family.

One of the worst experiences Ive had. Found a piece of hair in my food. Nothing really special about this place. Food was over priced. Horrible service. I am a bacon man and this place did not meet my expectations!!

Worst bbq Ive ever had, the only good thing was the chicken. The fries were tasteless, the potato salad tasted like it was made of only mustardand my bbq was full of gristle. The most Ive ever paid for bad bbq.

An old mainstay in Asheville. Their BBQ is good but Asheville has better. Best thing is the baked beans and hush puppies. Nowhere else in Asheville does those as well. It always feels a little seedy in there.

Just like the one back in the foothills where I grew up. Best around. My idea of bbq! And the beans cole slaw and hush puppies were also yummy! Grew up eating at Little Pigs and this one did NOT disappoint!

If its not the over priced, dry and the pungent smelling meat, enough of a reason to never go back there, the kitchen chef that walked out of the restroom without washing their hand did it for me.

So I know this is old school, I wish they smoked the Bbq like they did when I was little. The Broasted Chicken is the Best around! The sides are good basic. I enjoy this place very much.

Lunch is home made, made to order, and tasty. I had a chopped pork sandwich with hush puppies. Great value for a quick bite and friendly service. The hush puppies were particularly good.

I ordered chopped, it was to go. When I opened the meal lit was swimming in a mustard based sauce, I mean swimming. If I had eaten in I would have wanted a new meal or my money back.
