I love the food they have at the restaurant but to be honest their customer service is terrible. Everytime I go there at the restaurant they are courteous and friendly because they are of course working for tips. I can understand that because they have wonderful food they are especially busy , but try calling in an order.... It takes forever to get through because it is always busy, which I am not so sure if it is customer demand or lazy employees on the phone, and they are extremely rude when you finally do get someone. This reason alone is what took this restaurant from a 5 star to a 3 star. I think that if someone is spending their money at an establishment and keeping these people with a job, the least they could do is talk to you and serve you like a human being.

Wow placed my to go order at 4:58, not that many people in the restaurant, the guy that took my order asked for my name and I gave it then I was asked for my number and thought why do they need my number? Well then he told me my order would take 25 minutes and that they would call me when it was ready and I could wait in the restaurant or come back through the drive-through well I waited in my car for 45 minutes and never got a phone call so I decided to go back in and lo and behold my order was ready sitting there waiting no phone call to tell me it was ready I just waited and waited 45 minutes for food is too long and when they say theyll call you they should and they didnt so not pleased why does it take so long to get your food here

I go here on lunch very often . The food is good at times but my portions were different each time .The last time i come i got yakiniku which is my normal as well as shrimp. The yakiniku was very small pieces and doused in sauce which my guess is from the taste not been marinated shrimp were not fully cleaned as also in my small amount .. Seems to be a lot of confusion in back of the house as well the front .. It took a while to pay my bill as there was more confusion up front and orders missplaced. Food prep and quality really needs to go up very badly i was highly disappointed .. Only nice Japanese restaurant close to my job ..

Worst Japanese food I have ever had. The chicken was almost ok. But the steak smelled bad and appeared to be fixed scraps. The shrimp were puny and had not been de-turded. The rice was bad...how do you botch fried rice? Overcooked soggy zucchini, undercooked over sauced broccoli...the server was polite but seemed indifferent to what was either a kitchen or server error. This was one of those meals where the poor taste of the food outweighed the money wasted on the meal.

For over a decade, my family and I have always looked forward to eating at Motos! The value you get for such incredible food, awesome portions of a variety of choices, wonderful service so quickly at such an affordable price makes Motos one of our favorite places to eat. After relocating a few years ago, we HAVE TO make a stop here whenever we come home to family. I recommend to anyone just give it a try and see for yourself!

Always enjoyed this place. Everytime I come back to east TN this is my number 1 stop to eat. Huge plate of food for good prices. The carrots seen a little different now a days or maybe its just my taste buds but ether way great food. Staff is good. Never met the people who owns it but Ive been coming here since I think 1998. I really dont remember when they opened but ether way its worth it.

They used to be the best place in earth, dont know what happened to the place. They had the same wait staff since I was a kid, and they are no longer there. Last time I ate there, there was a bug in my food. So sad, this used to be the best place to eat, the food used to be amazing, and the atmosphere was so great. Now there are bugs in the food and a RUDE MANGER.

Service at Moto was decent, it seemed as though the server we had was fairly new. He did a good job overall until it came to the bill. I put my card with the receipt to be picked up and a different server took the bill and added more money to it before charging my card. Needless to say, i wont be swiping my card here anymore.

I almost didnt eat here today because of the bad reviews. Im glad I ignored the reviews. Service was fast, food was good and the portion big enough to take home another small meal. Not only did the waiter check on me a couple of times so did the host. Great value for the money. I will be back.

The filet mignon came well done when I requested m rare, there are no options for side substitution, and was tough. The broccoli I paid extra for was so sauce coated and salty I couldnt early it, tea was icky sweet. Staff was polite, service took too long for a Monday evening.

Moto is my usual when it comes to Japanese food. Tons of good food available. Choose anything and you cant go wrong. Great sized portions, helpful staff and reasonable prices. Its a usual stop for college students looking for Japanese food for a college students price range.

The food is always awesome, cooked as you order it. They have a lot of great options for side items as well, its a small quaint restaurant. Moto Japanese Restaurant is a local favorite and is a spot I highly recommend. Especially if you enjoy Yakiniku!

First off you have to wait 45 minutes for your food. I have only been here twice and both times customers that came in after us was served their food before us. I will never come back to this place again. I would not recommended this place to anyone!!

My boyfriend and I love this place!! We are always either working or at school, and fast food gets old quick. Motos is an amazing compromise of a sit down meal with fast service on our breaks!! I will always recommend this place to people!

Japanese cuisine in the style of the ones where the food is prepared in front of you on a hibachi, only you simply order and they bring your food to you. Much cheaper, but still incredibly delicious. My favorite.

The food is always good, comes to the table hot and freshly prepared. The staff is knowledgeable of the menu and what they serve. I have yet to have a bad experience with Moto, I hope it continues to stay that way.

You get tons of food for your money, no need to worry about going home hungry! Only drawbacks are that it can be slow at peak hours and tends to get loud inside. Definitely worth trying the Yakiniku!

Waited 45 mins to get our food. Ask the server to please check on our food. She said they are really busy getting the drive thru taken care of. Guess dine in isnt important. Wont be back.
