The best thing about the place? Its quick to get in and out of and the workers are efficient. The worst thing about the place? The workers are a bit overzealous in the wrong areas. The bagger will offer to carry a single bag out to the car for a group of healthy young men, while the next person in line is a frail old lady, and there is no way they would be back in time if the men took them up on it. Not to mention the way they insist on handing you the bags when you went handbasket instead of cart. They dont seem to understand that it is actually far more difficult to take a plastic bag from someone elses fingers than to pick it up from a table. Their selection is good enough, for a grocery. They cant stand up to something like a Super Walmart or the newer Super Krogers, but they have most of what you might be looking for. That said, they have a bad habit of letting things go well past their sell by dates without removing them from the shelves, so always make sure you check them before buying anything. And, no matter what their marketing keeps trying to claim, they really are one of the most expensive groceries around. The prices are a trade-off for just how speedy they are, however.

Today was not a good day at Publix. The customer service lady needs some work on customer service. The time was 2:30pm on a Friday I never used Western Union Service my brother had sent his nephew money for his birthday. The young lady kept asking questions about the Western Union Service. She slid my ID back to me. Layed my money on the counter. Then had the nerve to roll her eyes at me. Thank God my son was there I would have really gave her a piece of my mind. The customer service people are real nosiey when you get money orders. Why you getting $1200 money order? I tell them each time none of your damn business. Ive been in customer service for over 20 years never been treated like this before.

The staff are friendly and helpful. Bakery prices are higher than other Publix stores. I live in the area and have to go to Donelson for the best price on cakes from the bakery. I have brought this to their attention and my words fell on deaf ears. Even spoke to the bakery manager and store manager. Because I was in tears about a cake order (the writing on the cake was two different colors of blue in the same word), I was given flowers. I just want my order right. Due to the nature of my job, I get cakes very often. I am very disappointed with their bakery and will continue to visit the Donelson store.

Service was good and the staff was friendly. My only issue was that the selection was very limited compared to the comparable supermarkets in the area, especially in the deli and meat departments. The Publix, Harris Teeter, and Kroger on West End are all nicer and close enough that I would never come to this one unless it was just for one or two basic things and I was already at Nashville West

Shopping IS not a pleasure @ this location. 3 out of 5 employees arent very helpful- including the assistant manager. No one is ever at the self checkout & if they are, it seems as if they dont even notice you are there. The only good is the pharmacy & meat/seafood department. I go to the west end location instead, even though I live 2 minutes away from this location.

One of the best! I really needed 50brown paper bags for my students to use during the holidays. I called the store and they were so nice and efficient. When I walked into the store they had them ready and waiting. I just really appreciate the great costumer service. Everything from the Deli to the seafood department.

The produce is the best in town. Love the BOGOs! Best of all is their Customer Service! The eye to eye Hellos. They ask if you need help finding an item before you ask for help. It seems as if Publix people read facial expressions. I am in a wheelchair and could not ask for a better store and staff.
