Came for the 1st time to celebrate Mothers Day. Unfortunately it was a horrible experience. Examples include: 1. Our waiter was incredibly inattentive and unfriendly. He rarely checked on us, refilled our drinks, and had to be asked to do so on a couple of occasions. He barely replied at all (a slight nod after a delay) when asked a question after an hour and a half as to if our food was almost ready. His unfriendly demeanor made our experience uncomfortable. He acted like he either hated his job, or was fighting with someone in the kitchen. 2. We ordered our food within 5--10 minutes of arrival. Our food finally arrived 1 hour and 37 minutes later. It was lukewarm and of mediocre quality overall. Someone in our party had ordered the $32 filet. When it arrived it was thin, and appeared to be a cut of sirloin. It was grissly and there were portions that were not fit to eat, but this member of our party was so hungry by the time the food arrived, he ate all of it that he could. When we voiced to the manager that the steak was grissly, his immediate response was to go on the defense and look at the plate with the pieces of grissle left on it and say something to the effect of "he must have liked it ok, he ate most of it." This was rude and upsetting. He treated us like we were white trash asking for a handout like a discount or the like. We didnt ask for anything but were only letting him know of valid concerns. When I mentioned that our waiter was rude he completely ignored it, and when I voiced concern about our wait time he said this was a busy day, and that we would find similar service times on a Friday or Saturday night. The restaurant was actually only half full, however! He wouldnt let me get a word in edgewise to even tell him exactly how long we had waited and instead spoke over me to let us know that we werent at McDonalds, that everything is cooked to order and that quality food at a quality restaurant takes time to prepare. I find those statements problematic in many ways. First, telling me I am not at McDonalds and that I should not expect similar service times was incredibly rude and meant to be demeaning. Secondly, the Orangery and other higher quality restaurants I have been to have had half the wait time with much higher quality food. Third, the food was of a mediocre quality at best. The taste was similar to going to a Piccadilly cafeteria for lunch with just some German seasonings and capers added on top. When management has this kind of attitude and chip on their shoulder it is no wonder that the wait staff feel entitled to give poor customer service as well. Dont waste your money here with staff who dont care if you have a good meal or not. Go ANYWHERE else! After this meal and the rudeness that came with our experience I can honestly say I would have rather spent Mothers Day at McDonalds!

First, I have to say the food was great so my review has nothing to do with that. I have been wanting to try this restaurant for some time, so yesterday April 6th 2015, I just happened to have the time to stop in. I sat down at the bar and the bartender gave me a great description of the different beers, so everything started out really well. Unfortunately thats where the professionalism stopped. Soon after my order was placed, a couple of the staff started fighting, it wasnt just an argument but an actual fight. The language used and physical confrontation made me extremely uncomfortable so all I wanted to do was finish my lunch pay my bill and leave. Which I immediately did. I will definitely not return to this restaurant and will make sure that at least my family and friends know about my experience.

Found this restaurant on Local Flavor, bought a voucher to try out. The day we went happened to be the Oktoberfest day so they wouldnt honor the voucher. The food wasnt that great but it was very pricy. We had Kassler Rippchen (smoked pork chop) and Jager Schnitzel. Ive never had sweet mushroom sauce on schnitzel. It was so sweet, I couldnt finish the plate. Cheese spatzel was nothing special. Cheese wasnt even mixed in. I lived in Germany and had german food in US plenty time but never had this kind. Since there are different style, I wont say this is not the german food but its not my favorite. By the way, I understand that they want to save time and money on washing cups but please, serving Oktofest beer in disposal plastic cup, really? If you gonna do the fest, do it right in Stein!

While we love the sausages here, we had a very horrible service experience. We were at the bar and ordered an appetizer, and later moved to a table. We asked our waiter that our appetizer would be served at the bar, can he please bring it over. After 15 min, he did not, I had to go and bring it from the bar to my table. Next, I asked the waiter to explain me the sausages, because, my wife is in a pregnancy diet and is avoiding certain kinds of meats. His answer was "It is written in the menu, read the menu". Me: "Which of these does not contain beef?", Waiter: "I dont know, read the menu!" Both me and my wife were perplexed, but as we were with other friends, we kept quiet, but left the place with a very bad taste. We may go back there but our service expectations will be very low.

Our reservation was at 730 and we were seated immediately. After 10 minutes another waitress asked if we had been helped. We said no and she went and got our waiter. He came and got drink order and we received them at 745. We then ordered. At 830 I asked about our food. His answer was German food takes a long time. No other people had food either. The other wait staff was apologizing and brought out some brats to help. Ours never did. At 845 we got the smallest pork schnitzel I have ever seen. I asked the waiter if there was any other food I could get quickly and he said " No it will be another hour ". The manager finally came to our table and said they were just busy. He offered not even a desert. There are 12 tables in restaurant max. Do not go here.

Me and my wife are friends with Reagan the owners little brother. So like most couples when youre looking for a place to go eat on a Friday night, so we decided to go to the Linderhof for dinner. and I have to honestly say, hit by far was one of my best dining experiences in Knoxville in a long time. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the food was unbelievably good cooked to perfection and the Ambiance was right on. Overall I would give this place a five out of five rating. Its a little on the pricey side, but as I always say you get what you pay for, but the Linderhof its worth every dime! Thank you to Reagan, Ariel our server and the rest of the staff for making it a wonderful dining experience.
