This is a little place where bikers and other gruff folks like to gather. They have no pool tables and i dont believe darts either (could be wrong though.) A bar without a pool table is like a dog without a bone. People that drink like things to do. Do they have cold beer? Sure. If you are looking for a younger "hip" environment, this isnt your place. If you are around 45, ride a motorcycle or drive a truck and drink too much, this is your place. I am giving it 3 stars because I go here when I feel like tying one on, or not driving far for karaoke. Thank god they have that going on.

Im the owner of the bar. But hey...I love this place so Im giving us five stars! I truly believe this is the best local pub around with the right atmosphere for fun party or relaxation. Weve got something going on every night. And have the best customers in the world that keep coming back to see us over and over again. The food is excellent and the service is some of the best around. Well always take care of you. This is an updated review. I love coming here on Sunday and Monday nights to play poker. They have acquired a new bartender by the name of Gabby. She has always been one of my favorite bartenders since 2015. She is always smiling, and puts you into a good mood once you walk through the door. I am one of the poker players at Dakotas. They gave one of the most mouthwatering burgers I have ever tasted, and it only less than $5. All of their food is very reasonable priced. Thank you Dakota and Tonya!

Dakotas is the place to be, Im telling you. Our friends came into town from Asheville and they couldnt stop raving over the place, the prices and the food. We sat outside with our dog and the sweet bartender who was serving us brought her a bowl of water. Everyone including Dakota whom we met were so friendly and accommodating. This is our go to place for some sweet bbq or a damn good burger.

Dakotas Pub of the South is absolutely incredible. It was once known as Jimmys and Fat Katz, but the new management has to be my favorite so far. They host some form of entertainment almost every night including bands and trivia. The food is great, the bartenders are attentive, and the atmosphere is as comfortable as it can get. Try it out. You wont regret it.

Great place to hang out, enjoy sports on one of the TVs, kick back a cold beverage and eat some delicious food! Location could be a little better and signage needs to be closer to the main highway to really see the front of the business since it is around on the side of a larger building. Still, once you find it, it is a gem of a sports bar/pub.
