Finally decided to give this place a try, and were we ever disappointed! Our unanimous decision was that Panda Garden on Willow has this place beat hands down. The only redeeming factor in our visit may have been some of the unique foods that arent on other local buffets... except they werent good. To start, it was hot outside and in; making it plain uncomfortable. My guess is theyre trying to economize for obvious lack of customers by turning their thermostats up, heat tables down and keeping minimal amounts of food stocked. Many of the selections were nearly empty during our entire visit. Further, we did not see any fresh dishes brought out during our entire visit, and we were there at dinner time. The foods we tried were over all barely warm, the meats were tough and dried out and the breading was overpowering and mushy. Our drinks server, while personable, was uninformed and could not answer any specific questions asked about the food. The young man at the sushi bar was more interested in his cell phone conversation than assisting any of us. The price of $10.99 + drinks was a major overcharge. A disappointment at best. None of us will make a return visit, but will instead promote and patronize Panda Garden on Willow! Dont think Mandarin Palace will be around long without some major changes. Very poor representation of Chinese buffet.

I would describe how awesome this place is, but first, just go there and see for yourself. This is the cheapest Chinese food restaurant around during days hibachi is closed, during I believe afternoons, and they have the largest selection as well. There is absolutely no reason to go anywhere else unless you dont like it when they serve hibachi and the extra cost. Then I recommend panda garden buffet. Ive frequented both places and heard only good things about them. Also, avoid beverages, they are costly and make you get full quicker, however, do your thing. I am just citing an opinion. And please, TIP YOUR WAITRESSES. If you cant tip then dont buy. Yea, thats right, dont buy. Nobody likes that guy who goes in there, spends money and cannot spare at least 2 bucks for the waitress fumbling to keep up with everyone, filling your drinks. Tipping is always good and never hurts and the corporations sure as hell isnt going to help. If you cant spare 2 dollars, you shouldnt go out to eat at a buffet.

This USED to be one of my favorite restaurants... I always go for the seafood. When my wife and I got up to leave and walked up to the counter to pay, we realized we had both been charged $12.99 for the buffet, which is the price with crab legs. My wife didnt eat any crab legs, she doesnt even like them. I thought it was just a simple mistake, but I wasnt about to pay $2 extra for no reason. I told the guy at the counter (VERY UNFRIENDLY!) and he just got a confused look on his face and ran over to our waiter. He comes back and says, "he said he saw you eating crab legs." I reaffirmed that she hadnt and the guy starts yelling back and forth with the waiter in Chinese. Anyway, they basically called us both liars. Well, he finally takes it off after we literally had to stand there and argue with the guy. Also, we had coupons for 20% off and we got 10% off... I would not recommend anybody waste their money here. The food is good, but the people are extremely unfriendly.

The best thing this restaurant has going for it is the price. Its hard to find cheaper. However for a cheap price you get cheap food. Most of it is ok, I didnt have anything I didnt like. But I have had better takeout. The sushi was good raising my rating to 2 from 1. The worst part of my experience were the restrooms. Absolutely Atrocious. The signs were falling off the doors making it hard to tell which was mens and which was womens. They were filthy and unmaintained. Use the restroom before you show up. Overall it was ok but I will never return. I wont tell you to never go here because nothing food wise was bad and it could have been just this instant that the experience was bad. Next time I see Christmas decorations in august I will follow my gut feeling and go elsewhere.

I have lived ALL over the country and try Chinese food everywhere, this is simply the best. I am an accomplished cook/baker. I usually do NOT enjoy food out (frankly I cook better then most places I eat). This however will be a restauant that I frequent. The cost was low, the amount of food was abundant, not greasy, and FLAVOR in every bite! The food was also hot! I dispise getting tepid food! I order a hot meal I want it hot - this was PERFECT! Also a food I wanted was not on the menu and they made it special for me - THANK YOU - it was amazing! I will also say, I dont review restaurants on here but HAD to give a review for Mandarin Palace! You WONT be disappointed!

My fiancé and I went to there tonight and as I was about to take a bite of my food, off the 2nd plate a muddy drop of water from the ceiling fell into my plate. We told the waitor, and he tried to move us, but we just wanted to leave. We proceeded to the front and told the manager, all he would tell us is, you ate our food, so you pay. We didnt want a refund. He never said he was sorry, he never apologized once! We got pretty upset, and he threw a ten dollar bill st is, and told us to never come back we were not welcome.

Average buffet taste, that is not much taste at all. I enjoy egg drop soup but theirs has peas and carrots in it, which looked disgusting. I ate at around 5pm which was their "dinner" price of $10.99 which is pricey for a cookie cutter Chinese buffet. And the woman working the register was rude and/or standoffish. I also noticed the fire exit was blocked by high chairs and mentioned it to the waitress who just grinned and said some gibberish.

Ive never had any better Chinese food then this place. Clean, fresh and taste great!! My only complaint is the price. At 10.99 for dinner is pretty pricey. Still, I will continue to eat there.. UPDATE: My views have changed. They no longer keep the buffet stocked, the food is getting bland, the cleanliness has gotten worse and the price has not changed. I dont go hear nearly as much as I used to. Only when I get a craving for crab legs..

Unclean plates! I found a baby cockroach in the base of my plate. I went to the manager an showed it to him. He said if it was an ant! and I told him that it was a small cockroach. If you decide to go to this place be aware not to pick plates from the bars at the very back (near the salad bar). I think those plates are not used often and the staff just leave them there. I think this restaurant should strive to improve its hygiene!

Tho I would agree the food is good. I could not agree this place is clean. It says it all in there health inspection. The Mongolian chef didnt wash or sanitize his spatula in between uses, just simply rinsed then under water in the hand sink. I watch a lady drop some plastic dessert dishes on the dirty ground, pick them up and put them back on the buffet table. Also the drink severs were putting there hands in the ice. Nasty..
