No Southern Hospitality My husband and I have a 1 yr old and 3 yr old. They are very well behaved, but we still dont usually take them to nicer places - however - the Friday before Easter at 10AM there was a huge Easter Egg hunt on the town square with hundreds of children and their families. At 11, after the hunt, we wanted to grab something to eat. Since the entire area was crawling with children, we figured going to Cafe Piazza would be safe this time - on a Friday ...at 11AM ...when all around was already a sea of children. When we walked in, they looked like they didnt know what to do with us.... however, the host did recover and was very nice about the situation (you know, having kids, I guess). We were seated and then my husband asked a nearby waitress if they had highchairs (since none were offered). She hesitantly replied, "We have *two*." We asked, "Well, can we have 1?" At the time, we were the 3rd table seated - no other highchairs in use. Our own waitress looked at our children disapprovingly and that was when I was ready to just leave. We eat out a lot and couldnt understand the hostility. I didnt want to support a business that was that rude to my family. There is even a childrens menu printed on the regular menu! We figured we were already settled and would probably never be back again, so we ordered to see what the food was like. The appetizer (crab and artichoke dip special) was very good and the mains were ok. Its a shame that the attitude of more than one staff member was so poor that we didnt feel welcome and wont be returning to try other things on the menu. Another note: We were there about 45 min. In the entire time we were there (11 - 11:45), 8 tables were filled... only eight... of the eight, 5 had children / families from the Easter Egg hunt. In this economy where stores on the square are constantly closing, I would have thought they would have welcomed the additional business even if it did include patrons with children.

I would have given a positive rating however the food we ordered was artichoke and crab dip, blu salad, lobster bisque and crab ravioli. Our appetizer arrived and it was imitation crab meat the was spongy with no flavor! I understand the economy is bad but, its never appropriate to sell imitation crab meat at a restaurant that people pay for! The salad had too much dressing on it. The lobster bisque was delicious and would recommend it to anyone! The crab (which was real crab) ravioli was good but the stuffing was over spiced to the point that i was only able to eat one. However, the staff and atmosphere was wonderful!

The food is absolutely wonderful. Ive never had anything that was even average, always above average. For lunch, I call in a take out order and the owner is always there, and is unbelievably nice. He always writes something nice on my boxes, makes sure i have all the condiments i need. he even gives me an extra cup of tea because the to-go cups are a little small. when he gives you the check, he crosses out the Tip section and circles your total. that amazed me the first time i ordered take-out. If you live in collierville or the surrounding area and havent been to cafe piazza, you MUST go.

Loud, small and loud. They dont take reservations, so we waited for 30 minutes. We were seated less than 3 feet from a loud 8 top. Our waitress was nice, but gave us our check early so she could leave to go to a bar with the couple next to us. I know this because I could hear every word of their conversation as we were seated 2 feet away. I hope they enjoyed their night, because we sure didnt. Ronnie Grisanti in Sheffields is so much better.

They ran completely out of both dishes we ordered and had to settle for 2nd choices. They were good but just not what we wanted. Service was pleasant but not up to white table cloth standards. The need to decide what kind of restaurant they want to be. Running out of food during a Saturday night dinner and service that is unpolished really puts me off. I will think twice before I return.

We have finally found a pizza that we love. Cracker-like crust that is just slightly chewy. Best cheese Ive ever had - really fresh toppings. Since trying this place two weeks ago for the first time, weve ordered from them on three occasions. Service is excellent, even on take-out orders. If youre in Collierville, this place is a must try!!

What a disappointment after reading all these glowing reviews. When I saw and tasted the marinara sauce, all I could think was "Chef Boyardee." My two dining companions agreed. The salad was good, but at these prices we would expect a much better meal. The Olive Garden is far better.

Had a great dinner. Pizza was Fantastic! My wife had one of their daily specials (eggplant) and it was very good. Great service, great atmosphere. A place in collierville to bring out of town guests for sure.

So Yummy! Locally owned the best pizza around. Also has other things on the menu (pastas, salads, desserts etc). We always take our out-of-town guests here. Have yet to find anyone who doesnt like this place.

The service here is great. The staff is friendly, and that is what keeps me and my family coming back. However, the food is only average, and leaves much room for improvement.
