Rode my bike here one time just to see what its all about. With a name like the Cupcakery I was very intrigued! The cupcake was very good - to me, however, Ive had better (I recommend Cupcakes - a - Go - Go, another local Cupcake company - they do straight up gourmet cupcakes in the most amazing flavors you have ever heard of!) I went back a second time and discovered the real star was their regular menu! I got the "New Mediterranean" sandwich - Edamame hummus, fried breaded eggplant, tomato, spring-mix lettuce, and cucumber-yogurt sauce on whole-wheat pita...WOW! This sandwich was SO good, well put together, and worth the price. My sister got the "Chicken, Chutney & Chèvre" sandwich - Grilled chicken breast with caramelized onion chutney, Montchevré goat cheese, lettuce, and tomato on grilled rosemary bread...another WOW! So good. My boyfriend got the "Chorizo & Avocado" omelet - House-made chorizo sausage, pepper jack cheese, and onions, topped with sliced avocado and served with house-made pico de gallo. It was also very tasty. Highly recommend!

Went there today to meet a friend for lunch at her suggestion, so of course I "Googled It" first to read reviews and find menu suggestions. Wound up ordering what the waitress suggested, which was an egg sandwich. Unbelievable taste combinations, could not begin to tell you exactly what was in the sandwich...suffice it to say that it was two meals in one, very satisfying. Cupcake? But of course! Mocha chocolate, please! Dryness? Nope. Overboard with the frosting? Ever heard of decorative frosting?? Our waitress was equally impressive, with extra napkins on the table before I even knew Id need them... Nuff said on that! I will most definitely be meeting more friends for food, and catching up, as this restaurant is a local gem!!

The cupcakes, of course, are delicious, the staff is extremely friendly, and the non-cupcake food is actually quite delicious. The first time I went there, I wasnt expecting much from the dinner portion of the meal; its a cupcake joint and the prices were too low to expect anything good. Wow, was I wrong! I found the quality of the food to rival another favorite Madison restaurant of mine that is MUCH more expensive (cough...Sardine...cough). Its definitely a much more casual environment than other restaurants in Madison that deliver this quality food, but thats a big plus for me. I can say that the quality-to-cost ratio at Daisy is the highest of any Madison restaurant at which Ive eaten.

I honestly dont know how Daisy Cafe and Cupcakery has a lower rating than Stalzys down the street. It is hands down a much better place for atmosphere, food selection, and payment options. Most of the staff weve met are extremely friendly, going out of their way to leave the restaurant open past closing for us once and even offering a few free cupcakes. The menu is very diverse and eclectic, with a nice selection of everything from vegan to meat-lovers options. Their vegan meatloaf is excellent, as is their ground chicken burger. Everything Ive had has been phenomenal. Oh, and dont forget their cupcakes, which not only taste amazing, but are very creative with different monthly themes.

Better than grocery store cakes, but have had much better cupcakes. The 6 that cost me nearly $20 were just ok. Im used to getting 1 dozen for that money from another local shop. Anyway, back to the cakes. The crème frostings were the best part about them, but every single cupcake(5 varieties tried) tasted like angel food cake. Not that angel food cake is bad, but I expected more robust flavor and better texture. Without frosting, they were rather dull. 1 mans opinion, but they werent for me. The diner looked quaint and cute. Maybe will have to try other dishes.

The food was greasy and the cupcakes were terribly dry, flavorless, and downright disgusting. The worst of it was paying top dollar for such an excuse for food. If you like frosting, dont even touch this "buttercream frosting." Id rather stick my finger down my throat. It was like eating whipped shortening with a thin caramel dripped on top. I want food made with quality ingredients, such as the awesome cupcakes at Macha Teahouse on Monroe Street. This is not the case here at Daisy "Cupcakery". Sad. Sad.

My daughter and I wanted some cupcakes so we went here since it was close to our home. I was disappointed with the lack of cupcake variety, being it says "cupcakery" at the end of the name. However, the cupcakes we bought tasted great. I dont think Ill come here again though. We want more cupcake varieties and selections. I noticed that the waiter went around re-filling water glasses but not ours. So, I felt discriminated against. The lady at the register was very nice, courteous and polite.

This place is absolutely delicious meals and breakfast is my thing, but you must try meatlof and sloppy Jose. Really good food made with really good ingredients. Very popular on a Sunday morning, but worth it if you can get a table. Huevos rancheros are amazing, as are the bakery cup cakes and Coffee was very good also. Know that this is a very small restaurant with "cozy" seating, so if you have a big group, or you personally need a lot of space, you might have an issue

We recently worked with Daisy Cafe to provide the cupcakes for our wedding. We love Daisy Cafe for breakfast & we wanted our guests to get a true Wisconsin experience, so it was an easy choice! The difficult decision was choosing the flavors, but Daisy cupcakes are all so delicious, you really cant go wrong. The cupcake display was beautiful, and we couldnt be happier with everything. I highly recommend Daisy Cafe for food and cupcakes - whether you want 1 or 200 :)

Its hard to find a restaurant that has absolutely fantastic food as well as family friendly. As a parent to a 3 year old and a six month old its hard to find places with stand-out food that will help make your visit as a family relaxed. Our 3 year old always gets her food first, and FAST! There is a basket of toys kiddos can choose from. They have lots of high chairs. Did I mention the food is also really great? Try the fish fry, it is life changing.

Cupcakes are amazing. I wanted a cobb salad and it would have been awesome, but the only dressing they have is gorgonzola. Bleu cheese like substances are the only foods I will not eat. I decided to try it anyway. It was disgusting. if you like bleu cheese youd like it, but I dont. They dont have ranch. What restaurant doesnt have ranch? I feel like they are too hipster for ranch because ranch is too mainstream. Otherwise, this place is awesome.

At first I thought Daisy Cafe was mostly just cupcakes -and dont get me wrong, the cupcakes are amazing but I started to order lunch there and everything I have ever gotten is SO good. The Award-winning breakfast sandwich is probably my favorite though. The staff there are very friendly and helpful and the place itself is well decorated and a great atmosphere. I am so happy that Daisy cafe is in walking distance because it is my favorite!!

Been here a couple of times for breakfast and brunch. Delicious food, large portions, and super friendly staff. They really provide great service and care about their customers. At my last visit they mistakenly added (lots of) meat to my order. Not only did they apologize, but also cooked me a new dish immediately and comped me for the mix-up. Definitely appreciated! Will continue to patronize and recommend as a go-to for others.
