My children and I dined at the red apple restaurant in Rock Falls and our experience was memorable. Instantly we noticed that our waitress was under the influence of some kind of substance; quite possibly many. We happened to seat ourselves in the "owners booth." She took our drink orders, and coffee was my choice. She grabbed a cup that had some coffee still remaining in it, and filled it. I asked her for a clean cup and she then stated "that must be the owners cup because you are sitting in the owners booth." Then She walked away leaving the cup of coffee. When it was time to order food my son and I ordered the special, Wich was a eight ounce piece of stake, with mashed potatoes. My daughter ordered a waffle with strawberries and whipped cream on the side. 40 minutes and zero cups of coffee later, our food finally arrived. The waffle my daughter received was covered in a mountain of whipped cream and slimy strawberries. My daughter confronted the waitress then the waitress offered to scrape it off instead of getting her a new order... she declined. My daughter took a few bites and complained that the waffle was cold and soggy. The stake came out looking cold and fatty. Our observation was correct. The mashed potatoes were Luke warm and Grady. I had ordered the salad bar along with the meal. I had to dig through many plates In order to find one that was clean. The silverware we got was also like that. My son found a dark brown clump on his knife, and my daughter had to trade in more than one spoon. Dont go there unless you want to gag through your entire meal. They should consider renaming it The ROTTEN apple!

Omg do not go to this place ! I SWEAR I HAVE NEVER SEEN A RESTURAUNT THIS GROSS IN ALL MY LIFE ! The waitress was a toothless big fat lady with dirty blue jeans and i swear she was high on something! Me my wife and mother orderd our food she messed the order up 3 times and got all mad when we asked what we wanted . The food was not even edible i mean it i orderd a red apple omlete with hash browns . I dont know about you but ive never seen black potatoes that was like mush and taste like a dirty dish rag. The omlete was supposed to have ham in it but it was some greenish brown meat that i think was rotten ham ! My wife was sick to her stomach after one bite of her food and my mom sent her food back also . Not to mention the dirty silverware and cofee cups . I guarantee this place has rats and is full of roaches . We only went there cause we were starving and there was no other resturaunts around there , people trust me go to burger king first or any where but the rode apple !!!

I work hard in this industry! We stopped after along night and the food was horrible! I sent back my bacon and it was quickly returned even worse! I told my server the hash browns were cold and tasteless, they too were returned awful. Our server was great. It is not her v fault that our food was horrible. I complained to the owner. He just didnt seem to care. So when it came to the cashier...well she just should not be in the business. Very our scored Red Apple Rock Falls

Run, fast as u can. FILTHY DIRTY and dark, dated and smells. Hamburger bun dry and broke into pieces on 1st bite. French Onion soup tasted like motor oil and celery ( the croutons yelled "help"). Meat for burger was NOT beef. Ketchup refilled in OLD glass Heinz bottles, how long has Heinz used plastic bottles ? Disguisting. Ladies bathroom had large urine puddle on floor. IF RATING >2, YOURE DRUNK WHEN YOU EAT THERE.

I wouldnt even rate this place 1 star, I ordered a burger today, WORST burger ever! After complaining to owner that the meat smelled and tasted NOTHING like hamburger meat, he ignored me and charged me anyways after only taking one bite of it. Very rude staff, wont be coming there again. Will be calling health department tomorrow morning, Im 100% sure their meat is not from a cow!

I loooove coming here! Staff is friendly and polite, food is awesome and price is great! I always get the ribeye with eggs and toast. They come perfect as I like! Im very picky with restaurants. It is a very simple place but with an outstanding food

Wouldve been 5 stars but lately theyve been closing early due to low traffic. I recommend both the "Hot Meatloaf" and the "Gravy Burger"... thats if you get there on time to get one. Good coffee. Great coffee actually. Great waiting staff recently.

This is the fourth or fifth time that I come here. I drive about 80 miles just to come here. This place is amazing. The service is great, price is very good and the food is simply amazing. Try the ribeye with eggs and toast. You wont regret it.
