Loud. Close to impossible check out. Poor systems. Using an I-pad, our eager young waiter took our orders, which were apparently immediately sent to the kitchen. Our party of eight had arrived two by two, each couple ordering drinks at the bar. When our full party had arrived, we were given a numbered card on a stand, told to place the card on our table, and that all prior drinks and future orders would be aggregated on a single tab corresponding to our cards number. The food arrived quickly but was just OK. All right, the queso was delicious. The pitcher of margaritas was light on alcohol. At the completion of our meal, our four guys each handed the waiter a credit card and asked him to divide the total four ways. Not so fast. In fact, apparently impossible. Each order was its own order. There were approximately 16 bills to pay. The waiter apologized, but assured us he could not simply add the orders and divide by four. He started around the table, closing out one couple at a time. The system appeared slick, as his Apple I-Pad was equipped with a Square card-reader, permitting me to sign my tab with my finger right at the table, after pushing a button for a quick 20% tip. As our last husband prepared to close "his" tab, our waiter announced that there would then be eight more tabs to close! Instead, our last guy paid the outstanding balance, and we other three settled with him, passing 10s and 20s across the table until the pot was right. The whole check-out process took about 20 minutes. Not a pleasant experience!

I give this a 3 star with a very mixed opinion between the food and service. The service was not good, at all. The gentleman who took our order was great but it was down hill after that. They failed to open my wifes beer, fortunately I have a bottle open on my key ring. They forgot to bring a few items out with our food. We got no forks or napkins and had to pull them from another table. When we were done we needed a box, there were four to five employees standing around taking and no one even looked up to acknowledge her. We also seen a few guest wait a while to have their orders taken. The place wasnt busy and they had plenty of staff to pay a little more attention to details. Weve had a heat wave here in Nashville and the restaurant was also hot. Hopefully this was due to the extreme temps outside. Now for the food - The food was fantastic. We tried several things on the menu and loved all of it, from the steak to the street corn. I would have easily have given them a 4 or 5 if the service would have been better!

Ive rarely tasted ingredients so fresh, which makes this taco/burrito shop really stand out against the competition. Its also affordable, with creative options for all diets - I went there with family who, between them, were vegetarian, gluten intolerant, had a corn allergy and a milk protein allergy. Not only were there options to suit all, but the chef, who apparently also has dietary restrictions, came out and helped us customize the order to fit our needs. Outstanding service, awesome atmosphere with a great patio, and delicious food! Check it out if you havent already!

We went on a Sunday. Nice people serving. Two items of concern, one, I got the wrong order. Once the food was dropped off, no one followed up. I did order the corn with cheese and spices, I got rice, cheese and a raw egg. The entree that I got was enchiladas. The tortillas were not fresh and were presented under a mound of lettuce. I think they were from Saturday night. Ive had leftover enchiladas before...my moms...and they never came out that tough and chewy. Ive heard that The Little Donkey is good. Hopefully so...for someone.

Serviceable quick-serve, fast-casual joint. Food is decent, but nothing outstanding. Definitely catering towards the avocado-toast crowd, if you know what I mean... Big on fluff and presentation, but light on everything else. Alcoholic drinks like the margaritas are weak and not very professional in terms of presentation or ingredients. Dont get me wrong... This place is an option when in Germantown, but dont go out of your way for it.

In a highly competitive and continually evolving restaurant scene it is important to set yourself apart. Little donkey is probably the most generic and mediocre taco spot in town. Inflated prices and generic Texmex are the dominant themes. Staff is extremely apathetic and indifferent. Walked past three employees blocking the entrance way to the restaurant discussing how eager they were to be off work.

I didnt much care for this place. Got the chicken enchiladas, it was underwhelming. My coworker ordered the beef tacos with no onions or peppers, he commented that the beef tasted like grass.. The serving portions were underwhelming. The atmosphere was neutral also. There is no real service except the waitresses to bring your food out. The prices are too high, though.

Amazing food and the Daddys Donkey Signature Cocktail was perfect. I also tried the frozen margarita and that was fantastic as well. Refreshing and the perfect amount of sweetness. Friendly staff and amazing guacamole and queso. I had the chicken quesadilla and my friend had the famous Rice Bowl. Five stars all around for German town and in a great location!

Over the top friendly and helpful staff and fantastic food. I am a dog lover and the patio is dog friendly, an employee eveb came over to say hi to her and offered to bring her water. I recommend the fresh guacamole and definitely trying the added kick they bring to the cole slaw. The atmosphere is ideal to sit on the patio and enjoy the nice weather.

Great atmosphere for families as well as casual dining. They have plenty of high chairs for small children. The chicken quesadilla is my favorite! Margaritas, burritos, and fried chicken are great. I wasnt too crazy about the chicken tortilla soup. They have patio seating as well. Great casual bar if youre looking for a drink before a sounds game.

Excellent food anf fast service. They have quality ingredients, good proportions and original flavors. 10x better than Chipotle and have amazing drinks as well. Atmosphere here is very friendly. Seating is flexible with multitude of seating options such as long tables- high tables- booths- outdoor seating.. I highly recommend it.

What a wonderful gem of a restaurant. We went in for a drink...canceled dinner reservations at a upscale place and stayed for dinner!!!! Service, food, and quality were all that you expected from this quirky, fun filled place. Dont let the "order and sit" fool you. The food and drinks are awesome!!!

Got a burrito and it was just ok, kind of bland. Bit over priced for what you get. Service was not that great, asked for hot sauce which after 10 minutes of waiting never came and burrito got cold. Not sure why they dont put hot sauce on the tables, its a Mexican restaurant for goodness sake.

Super tasty food - never once had an issue with the food. Service is generally on point - theres been a couple times something was forgot or it was hard to find help, but that was the exception not the rule. I still stop in whenever Im over that way.
