I was down in Surfside Beach, SC for vacation and on our last night there we decided to order delivery from Chicago Pizza. Little did we know what we were getting into. I called and ordered the food for my friends and I. The person taking my order, although very kind, kept asking questions about our order. Its not necessarily a bad thing, but wasnt addressed in the correct way. The food came faster than expected, which is a plus because we were hungry, but when the food arrived the first thing that was noticed immediately was a hair in the salad we had ordered. This wasnt just a tiny little "no-big-deal" hair either; it was roughly 6 inches long and weaved throughout the salad. We had to call and get it replaced and we received another one quite quickly. The food was pretty upsetting. The salad barely had any lettuce, or at least thats what it looked like because it was covered in slices of ham, turkey, and cheese. None of it was diced. It was almost as if they pretended the toppings were pieces of paper and they just ripped strips out of what they had. Plus the serving size could feed a family of four. Next, was the chicken parm. The only complaint there is about it was cold marinara sauce. Ive personally never experienced any type of marinara that was straight up out-of-the-refrigerator cold and on a sandwich that is served hot, it just cancels out the fact that the chicken is cooked. Lastly was the calzone; under cooked and way too much cheese. Again, served with cold marinara. It also went through me faster than pepto bismol. Overall, the service was great, but the food was just terrible. I felt like I was experiencing what Gordon Ramsay experiences on Kitchen Nightmares. I wouldnt recommend eating here until this place starts caring about what their food tastes like.

I went there and ordered the largest pizza on the menu but was served the wrong pizza. I had a server offer me a replacement pizza and thought nothing more about it. Then I saw the server getting yelled at by the manager. I then was greeted at my table by the manager trying to get me to say I ordered a pizza I never ordered so she didnt have to replace it, this manager argued with me in a packed room (all but 1 table was full in the restaurant) so after this manager argued with me for 10 or 15 min she said (OK Ill replace your pizza but Ill charge you for it.) So I ended up eating a pizza I didnt order (I didnt have to pay for this but after the manager yelled at my wife and myself who would be hungry) then I ended up taking home the pizza I ordered for dinner as a takeout and had to pay for it. Oh by the way it took over 45 min to cook each pizza, so i was stuck waiting for food for over an hour and a half. So think about that before you eat at this pizza joint people.

Most unprofessional experience Ive ever had with a business. To some people customer service really is dead. I was in there yesterday afternoon and left my babys diaper bag etc. which was given to me by someone very special. After calling in and asking if I could to pay for them to ship it back, the lady informed me that she couldnt. When I asked for a manager, she said thats who she asked. I asked to speak to the manager, she said he was on a call. I asked to have him call me back... To which he replied in the background, "No, I am not calling them back." I couldnt be any more upset right now. Whoever the manager is at 12:40 on July 27, 2015 shouldnt be in the position he is in and treat his customers that way as well as teach his employees the same... Extremely disheartening.

Horrible customer service. (After being on hold multiple times for 5-10 min each) We ordered delivery pizza with no bacon due to a severe allergy that a family member has to pork of any kind, and recieved bacon on our pizza. Called back to get a refund since we had ordered about $70 worth of other pizza and had plenty more. The MANAGER told us that they would only give a refund if they came and picked up the pizza... If that lady wants to waste her employees time, thats fine. Keeping an eye out for that refund. This was the first and LAST time we will ever order from this restaurant. Very rude manager, not a great impression of the place as a whole.

Walked in late and owner was there happy to see me. Helped me navigate the menu and pick something just right. Very friendly, even came out and sat at table next to me wanteing to know about my vacation. Pizza was classic Chicago style and had hand tossed variety also. Chicago style philly cheese steaks, calezones, and many other choices. I meant to take back to my room but it smelled so good and I ate it all in store. Shop is modest and a store front location. What they saved in decor they placed into food quality. They make their own sausage and meats. The cheese is creamy and smooth. Vegetables fresh and crisp. I highly recommend!

We used to love getting pizza here even though we live almost an hour away; the gluten free veggie pizza made it worth it. Unfortunately the last few times were very disappointing. The quality has deteriorated and the prices have gone up. I would still hesitate to pay $25+ for one small gluten free pizza if it was back to being amazing but with the skimpy toppings, over cooked cracker crust and messed up orders there is no way it is currently worth it. The new management is hard to like. Our family will not be back.

Was told it would be a 30min wait, in a way that suggested not to order at all. Since we drove 35min to eat here, and the place being so empty, we were willing to wait. Ive been sitting here an hour and 20 minutes and no food has came out and there is only one person other than us waiting. The phone rings off the hook with no staff to answer it. I will not return. I dont recommend it at all. When and if the food does come out, it already isnt worth it.

Especially for those of you who ate at Michaels Pizza & Pasta & you were told that it was the best on The Grand Strand going in, you need now to try Chicago Pizza. The only minor issue I have with this place is that they dont offer anything larger than a 14 inch. Otherwise, what helps makes this pizza is that you surely dont get cheated with the toppings. Also, the personable staff is another reason why they get repeat business.

I sat on hold for over 15 minutes waiting to place an order for my family. When I finally called from my cell phone, I was asked if I could hold. I said "No, because Im on the other line already holding". The "woman" hung up on me. Classy. Ive been eating here for years and will never dial their number again. If you cant handle Friday night service during the season, get another job.
