Ive been using the Bi-Lo on Reidville Road just west of I-26 in Spartanburg as my primary grocery store since moving to The Upstate from South Florida. Previously, Ive primarily shopped at Publix and Whole Foods, but both arent easy to access from where I presently live. Over the past two years, Ive been quite satisfied with my local Bi-Lo. The deli-staff are all truly exceptional and deserve utmost praise. I especially love their new Dietz and Watson product line for deli meats and cheeses - all delicious and with no additives or the sort. The bakery has a good selection and the produce is mostly fresh (okay, once in a while I find some produce in shorter supply or not as fresh as Id prefer, but lets face it - some of the product is being shipped from California or beyond! Ive at times encountered such issues at other grocery stores, so am forgiving). I note that most times Im shopping someone is in produce going through the items and adding new product. Elsewhere in the store, Ive been pleased with the fish - especially their colossal fresh shrimp. Theyre massive, definitely fresh (remember, I know shrimp coming from Florida), with the only drawback being the cost at $12 to $15 per pound. Considering how inland we are, I dont find the price outrageous for an occasional splurge. The frozen shrimp and fish thats routinely on-sale at much lower cost has long pleased me, though. However, at times I want specialty fish, I do make the trip to Fresh Market in East Spartanburg. The meat department has been a special surprise. Ive enjoyed better quality beef and better prices than I ever had when in Florida. Plus, the butchers have always been most helpful with me for tips on cooking as well as with breaking up a package for smaller units. This particular store features an extensive wine and beer selection, too. Though, the wines being stored upright causes some of them to have dry corks. If you have a good cork-screw, this is no issue, but if youre using an old-fashioned cork-screw that requires you screw it in then pull - beware. The wine selection is especially attractive for the frequent sales and fuel perks. The fuel-perks, by the way, add up fast and are very helpful when I fuel-up at the local Spinx. Finally, Ive found most of the check-out experiences pleasant. The cashiers are usually friendly, but at times when things are busy there arent enough baggers. That said, Im not above bagging my own groceries. In a worse scenario, the cashiers will bag the groceries during the check-out process, but why stand around idle? Arent there lessons about "idle hands"? All said - Im pleased with my Bi-Lo experience. You can count Ill be returning here this very weekend.

I live in the apartments right next door to this store, so in the past 4 years or so, I have shopped here a lot. Unfortunately, due to a recent experience, I will no longer shop here. Last weekend I went with my daughter to buy groceries. I brought my own bags. One of the managers, an Indian gentleman, I think, who I normally see around the store (but barely acknowledges me), was helping bag groceries. I purposefully went to the line where he was helping so I could greet him and possibly get help with the 5 bags of groceries I was intending to buy. He helped the lady before me and then instantly went to help the other cashiers. When he was finished, he skipped over where I was BAGGING MY OWN GROCERIES and went to help the cashier on the other side. Now, I dont know if it was racial or because I had brought my own bags, but his behavior was very insulting, since he was avoiding my gaze and no offer was made for help in taking these groceries to my car. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere from now on!

This company is horrible...my husband has work with them for 5 years..been a meat cutter for 13 years..we take a family vacation and they dont pay him...they tell him there is nothing they can do...we have 3 kids to feed so how do they think we are goin to do this..one of our kids is disabled...payroll has no heart...i am pissed off wife that sees how the devil of a company uses her husband

The cashier didnt have much support, when asked the U scanner to help him bag the uscanner pointed to one lady finishing her ordered and said he couldnt while talking to other cashiers. I jumped in and started bagging... felt bad for the kid I had a lot of things and he didnt have much support from his team. He was a good cashier tho

I feel like for as many employees were there at the time that I was, that they could have opened more registers. There were several people in line and only 2 registers open while employees were just standing around. The prices were good, and we got a couple things that were on really good sale.
