Ive ate here a couple of times, but decided to finally leave a review after my "experience" today. Everytime Ive gone here, Ive asked for the tonkotsu ramen. The ramen was ok, the first two times I went; the broth lacked a bit salt, but everything else was cooked right. However, it was missing one important ingredient; a soft boiled egg. Today, 8/7/17, I went and decided to try again. This time, I asked if they decided to start adding the egg. The girl said that she had wished they had did the by default because it was one of the best parts of the ramen. She then told me that I could add one for $1. Although this was a bit high, I decided to take advantage of the opportunity. After waiting 15+ minutes, the ramen arrives with an egg in it, however there was one big problem...IT WAS A FRIED/SCRAMBLED EGG! What ramen shop in their right mind would add this over a soft boiled egg?! It made the ramen almost unedible...I will never go back...

Staff was friendly, service and meal prompt. Restaurant itself was clean. Meal left a bit to be desired. All meats were overcooked, especially the steak. Portion size was a bit small considering the meals each cost about $10. No option for a side of zucchini and onions unlike most typical Japanese restaurants. Vegetables were primarily cabbage, had nearly no flavor and seemed cooked less than Id prefer.

The place just opened up a couple of weeks ago, and I can tell you that I will be a regular customer. They are fast, the food is delicious, and the prices are good. They give plenty of shrimp sauce, twice as much than most places, and it tastes awesome. You owe it to yourself to give this restaurant a try.

Food is done well and to order. Staff is warm, welcoming, and inviting. Even when you come near close they still are happy to help. We bought the hibatchi chicken and shrimp and it was exactly what we expected. Definitely will return at some point to try other dishes!

I ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi. It was all over cooked and had so much garlic in it I could frighten off Dacula from over a mile away! I was the only customer there...so there was no excuse for poor quality other than poor training.

Bleh! Food is bland. Apparently they dont know what an onion is as I never saw one but did have more cabbage than vegetables in my mixed vegetables. No spices whatsoever. Needless to say we wont be returning. I sure miss Sake Express.

I absolutely love it! I have been going since they have opened and have never had a bad experience. Their hibachi with fried rice is my favorite. Kids eat free on Sundays.

Tried the bento box, loved it. The crab ragoons are not too savory and not too sweet. A lot of food for the price. Great service to boot. Will totally come again.

Sake Japan is my favorite fast hibachi option in Rock Hill. The food is great and you get a lot of it for a low price. They have quick and friendly service.

Food is good and portions are large. Closer to $$$ than $$ and thats a bit much for a restaurant without table service...but the Bento Boxes are super!
