As a family, we have eaten at Fujiyamas for many years, finding it worthwhile to drive an hour one way to eat there. However, yesterdays meal was definitely below what weve had in the past. We were informed immediately that because it was Fathers Day, the "kids eat free" regular offer was not available....as though, somehow a 3 yr old will eat more food because its Fathers Day? OK, fair enough. My daughter ordered a meal, telling the waitress that she was going to share a little of it with her son because hes a picky eater and would never eat a total kids meal even. She was penalized with a $2 upcharge for sharing the food she was already purchasing. The manager later said the $2 was for extra rice brought to the table for the child, but no one requested extra anything and wouldve been content just to share what was on her plate. The "chef" seemed like he was more about the business of completing his job than of adding in the "flair" that usually accompanies this type of meal. But the worst part was the dousing of sauce he put on the vegetables and on the chicken as he was preparing it. Both were literally puddled in sauce. Those at our table who ordered steak were satisfied with their meal because they simply stirred in the gooey vegetables with their sauce-less steak and it evened out. But the 4 of us who purchased chicken dinners ended up with so much "goo" and saltiness from all of the extra sauce, that none of us finished. At a minimum of $20 a meal, Im not sure were going to be making that drive any more. Well probably hunt for a better Japanese steakhouse closer to home.

DONT GO HERE IF YOU ARE TRYING TO HAVE A NICE NIGHT OUT.It is so inconsistent. Tonight really ruined it . I walk in and the owner is arguing with the hostess and then sat us down and she tells us we have to sit in this part of the table !? She was also rude .The food is pretty good but the inconsistency really ruins the experience ..I got one peice of carrot no IM not kidding one peice of carrot tonight. .. and half the amount of rice you usually get and dont bother to tell the manager/owner he will argue with you ..i pulled him to the side and told him this on the way to the bathroom and the one thing i asked was please do not come over to the table to discuss this i am sitting with my family and what do you think he did yep called me over to the register right in front of everyone eating. He then argued with me before telling me he will give me a few more carrots .uh no thanks everyone else is done eating ..he then charged me full price and never said a word , he ruined our night out so after i left i called him to see if he had a boss who is in charge and nope he was the owner i told him he shouldnt treat customers that way and he yelled at me for another half hour on the phone lol ...he said he doesnt need to apologize and hes right ..those were his words so he lost us as customers we will drive the extra distance for makotos which is much more consistent and a much better atmosphere ! Plus you get way more for your money!

My husband and I wanted to sushi binge late at night, and unfortunately many places arent open very late out here, especially on a Sunday, so we decided to try this place out since it was open, even though its a bit out of the way for us. Oh are we glad we made the trip though. By far this place has the best sushi Ive eaten, hands down. We ordered the love bridge for 2 and each piece of fish was fresh and beautifully prepared. The cali and the spicy tuna was extremely delicious. Our favorite though was when we ordered a dragon roll and a rainbow roll, because when we took our first bite we were so pleasantly surprised at how they just melted in our mouths. The sushi was so heavenly. We will definitely make the trip again, because damn is it worth every penny.

Today was by far the worst experience Ive EVER had out of ALL the hibachi restaurants that Ive gone to. Im so mad. Im a vegetarian and normally it isnt difficult for me to eat out at Asian food restaurants because its just veggies and rice.... The chef that I had didnt pay attention to my simple requests, mixed all my food that touched the meat( that I dont eat) , literally totally fckd my whole order up. The waitress that I had was accommodating with trying to pick up the slack and getting me the food that I wanted but at the end when CLEARLY I look displeased on all levels- I still get charged full price for my meal. Lol. My experience today makes me not even want to go back.

Besides the 10 minute wait...which was totally worth it, I could not find anything wrong with this restaurant. It was Fantastic. Even on a really busy day the servers make sure to get whatever you need in a very timely manner which is very hard to come by. The food was melt in you mouth good and the prices wasnt as bad as you would think...Granted the meals are like $16-$20ish the amount of food you get is worth the price. I had so much food i took mine home for lunch the next day..and even rewarmed the food tastes just as good!!!!! This place is a must try... Try it you might like! ^_^

The food was ok. Taiho in Merritt Island is much better. We did the part where they cook in front of you, and the Chef was VERY sloppy. Rice was flying everywhere, and no he did not mean to do it. We had children at our table, and he had this quirt bottle that was made out of a ladies body with a bikini top on it. He squirted it at us and the top comes down and you can see the ladies you know whats. I thought that was very inappropriate. My children should not have to see that when we eat. We will probably not return there again.

Loved this Japanese Steakhouse. Went here with my husband. We both loved the food. I wasnt a fan of the glazed chicken. That being said, everything else made up for it, including the chicken tempura. I really appreciate how they offer both table seating and seating at the main cooking tables. This lets people decide whether or not theyd like to be seated with others. Just in case theyd like to have a romantic night alone. Very large restaurant, plenty of room.

Their dishes are good, especially their monster roll. However their service isnt all that great. The employees are always lounging around, and though there are several of them there, nobody seems to greet their customers. More so, I always get this older waitress who doesnt seem to smile or offer friendly service. She always seems so tired of being there. Ive begun to order for pick up rather than dining in and my wife and I have decided never to dine in again.

I absolutely love this place BUT, Ive ordered takeout twice & didnt receive carrots, today being one of those times. I figured the first time they just forgot them so I ignored the issue. Then, today, I order again & get home & once again no carrots. So, I called & was informed that you have to ASK for carrots. Why? When carrots are apart of the meal during dinner time? I shouldnt have to pay extra for carrots that should be included in the meal.
