I WISH I could give this place a negative 5. Me and my coworkers decided to come to this godawful restaurant. We pulled up and there were only 3 other cars here. That right there should of been my sign to get back in the car and go to Panda Express. We go in and we place our order. Well we had to wait an HOUR before the cook came (He was actually cool). So everyone is getting vegetables and rice and Im just sitting here chewing on my straw. Then King No Clue comes in with two lunch boxes and he hands one to me. Im thinking this is my food so I proceed to eat. Well one of my coworkers ask the waitress where his lunch box was. She comes back and says I ate his lunch box by mistake. I apologize to my coworker and the waitress says well it looks like you got a lunch box for free. She says she will get him a lunch box. A few minutes later, King No Clue comes back and ask who ate his lunch box. I said I did but I did know that was his. This bag of dish water ask me why did I eat his food when I didnt order it. WHOA! First of all Im the customer youre the gofer. YOU made the mistake in giving me that lunch box. HELL, yall took so long in getting my food I honestly forgot what I ordered and I was hungry. I decided to not make a big stink about it and moved on. Well the check comes and they charged me $5 more on my bill because I ate the lunch box. Well first of all you guys screwed up my ordered. I ordered a spicy chicken and it came with steam rice and vegetables. I NEVER got my vegetables but I should pay for your inability to take a order. Matter of fact, the waitress drew a diagram and wrote what each person wanted. So the waitress tells me they will charge me $7.99 instead of the $7.75. I said that is fine. She comes back and she only takes $2.99 off my bill!!!!!!!! WTF!!! She tells me they wont allow her to make that adjustment. By this time its getting late and I have to go. I pay my bill and I tell her that the guy that brought me the box was a jerk and needs to learn customer service. I suggest anyone who wants Japanese PLEASE go to Inakaya Watanabe. The food and SERVICE is 10 times better. I will NEVER step food at this place again. When the flood of 2015 came and shut this place down, it should of stayed down!!!

We went in and wanted to throw a surprise dinner. The hostess refused to sit us until everyone was there and was very rude. Then I stepped to their bench and walked in with the person we was surprising and she said you are the one who ruined the surprise not me no one told you to go outside. So rude. Then she proceeded to pass out menus and threw mines at me. When I said something to her about it we go into a verbal argument that included her using swear words. I dont understand how she even still has a job! Aisha our waitress was amazing but the hostess in the fake Kimono ruined the evening. She was rude during our entire wait before and after we got to the table. This is the second time... The last time the chef burned our food and cooked seafood on the grill when someone was allergic. The owner got into a screaming match with one person that refused to pay for burned overcooked food threated to call the cops if she didnt pay the discounted price even though the entire table did not eat the food. This place is horrible and I gave it more than one shot.

There were eight of us at the table and I ordered steak and shrimp dinner. First, the cook, (and I call him a cook because calling him chef would be a huge insult to actual chefs) didnt put any seasonings or soy sauce on the meat. When I tried to pick up the meat with my fork, a whole gob of meat followed because there was so much gristle that the chefs knife didnt cut through it. When I complained to the wait person, he came back and said that the owner said that because its a ribeye steak, it is to be expected, due to the fat in it. I ONLY eat ribeye steaks and I know the difference between fat and gristle. This was no fat. It was a cheap cut of meat that was being passed off as a ribeye. After I persisted, she said she would give me $5.00 off and walked away, immediately followed by the cleanup crew who started to clean up our table. We were still drinking our drinks and the person actually asked for my glass. Not only is the owner rude but her staff is as well.

My husband and I have eaten here twice and had problems both times. No one speaks English very well and you have to repeat everything because all you get from them is huh. The food is okay, no egg in the rice and have to be very specific about how you want it cooked or it will either be burned or raw. I agree with CAE and Karen on the dipping sauce. Not to mention many of the clientele there are just rude. We could not enjoy our meal for the two ladies across from us on their phone, yelling at the cook, and just being obnoxious. I normally wouldnt count that against the restaurant, but there were people like this at every table and the wait staff did not seem to care. We had to wait an additional 15 minutes after we gave them our money for them to come back with the receipt. We will not be returning here.

Sato is such an adventure! But I do have to warn you, because Sato is definitely not for everyone. You have to be very sociable to enjoy this experience because you more than likely may have to seat with other parties. That may first seem unconformable, but if you have an outgoing personality, it will be no trouble but a chance to make new friends. The service seemed to be good, better than some other Japanese restaurants. The only negative aspect would be how smoky the room got once many tables were being cooked on at the same time. And another advice is that if youre planning on eating at Satos on the weekends, you should definitely make a reservation! Because sometimes the lines are so long, that you may have to wait for a whole hour!

Worst experience ever! The waitress was horrible, she completely disappeared after the salads were given and we were left to bus our own tables and get our own drinks at the bar except there wasnt even a bar tender to get the drinks. The shrimp was not de-veined, when we asked the chef all he said was "this is how we do it here." Before we could even finish our food we were given "to go" boxes and our checks without being asked if we wanted anything else. The employees that work here are completely oblivious to what good service is. I have had better service at McDonalds.

We waited 25 min just to get water and another 30 min to get a cook to start cooking; almost 1 hour before we ate. Also, ensure the sushi you order is made fresh and exactly the way it says on the menu; the spicy tuna I ordered was missing the cucumber and when I asked the waitress what happened she just said, "they probably forgot," so she went back to ask the sushi chef and she brought me some cucumber so I can add it myself instead of taking it back and bringing me another one correctly made. The food was ok but the sushi chef needs to stop cutting corners.
