We decided to take our family to the GIANT CRAB restaurant..Me, my WIFE, my 2 year old SON, 15 yr old Daughter( that doesnt look 15, more like 11 yr) and my niece (12 yrs old that loves to be around my daughter)! We get to the door and actually tells the host that we have a 12 yr old child which is my niece! We could have easily lied and got my daughter in as 12yr but we try not to lie! So after we ate and received our ticket, the ticket showed 4 adult meals total of $33 each. So we asked the waiter why didnt my niece(12yrs) get charged as a child? She claim we didnt tell the host at the door and they will not change the ticket price! Now Lord knows I try to be Christian but if I know without a doubt that I informed you she was 12yrs old then somebody is going to change this ticket or else! So the manager came over to the table and showed us a paper with 13 on it. Stating that we told the host 13 and that this happens all of the time so SHE IS NOT GOING TO CHANGE THE TICKET PRICE! Lord please help me! I get out of my chair( fight my flesh to keep from making a seen or losing composure) and tells this lady, YOUR GOING TO CHANGE THIS PRICE TODAY because we clearly told him she was 12 yrs old and He never showed us what he wrote down on No paper! So she takes me to some other lady at a desk that claims once again Shes not going to change it! Blood pressure is raising to the top now! So I begin to lose it and got loud with the lady demanding a change! Now once she saw the old me coming out, she immediately started to rethink things and ask me when was she born? I clamed down with a dumb look on my face Saying, I dont know shes my niece and I just know shes 12 but you need to go ask her since you think Im lying! They went over to ask my niece and she told them her Birth date! The ticket now gets changed with NO APOLOGIES at all! Now this lets me know they are getting over on people with this age thing because she said it happens all the time. Now think about it , why would you have to pay after you eat at an ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET? REALLY? No one should have to go through this at all and to eliminate it just let the people pay before they eat! Problem solved! Oh yeah most of the food was cold and you guessed it....we will never go back!

I was super jazzed about finally coming to try this restaurant, it would have been great had I not had a breast feeding 3 month old with me. Smh. First the waitress tried to seat is outside in the July heat with a 3 month old. Our server got pretty irritated when I requested a seat within the restaurant so my son as well as the rest of us would not overheat. Them I asked if there was somewhere I could breastfeed my son and was told "of course", I was then directed to the bathroom. I was told that was the only place they had to breastfeed. The bathroom was absolutely filthy and stunk, not to mention it was constantly full the entire time. I ended up having to go outside the restaurant just to feed my son. I was not even able to eat anything when I came back into the restaurant after having sat out in the July heat for 45 min feeding my son. I basically paid bout $40 to sit in the heat, cause I asked my waitress if it would be ok for me to take my food to go since I was not able to eat. I had only been up once to get food, I was told no I had to eat it in the restaurant. Smh. I can honestly say that we will never be visiting this establishment again, didnt nearly get what we paid for.

The service was non existent. We found all the waiters and waitresses spent more time huddled together counting and discussing tips than tending to guests. As for the food: The Crab Legs were controlled by a cranky gentleman who spoke like Arnold Schwarzenegger and often left his post. The lines would back up with folks waiting on crab legs. You also had to wait in line for the butter. I asked the Crab server for crab crackers and he told me they were on my table. I went to my table and they werent there - went back to tell him again - he told me again they were there. Finally he suggested that I request some from my waiter. I didnt get them until half way in my meal. I also needed shuckers for the oysters. Too many trips asking folks for utensils. Just wasnt necessary. They do everything they can to keep you from eating. They even write down your trips as you walk to the bar. Much of the fried sea food was soggy. The prime rib was so tough and fatty - I wanted to eat it so bad but couldnt, no matter how much I chewed it :( It would not disolve. The waiter was very unfriendly and never appeared. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Typical buffet style restaurant with crowds and lower than average decoure. We waited for an hour only to be walked way in the back and placed outside. We told them since we had children and there were people smoking outside we would prefer to be inside. She told us we requested first available so we would have to sit outside, otherwise wait another 30 minutes. I asked to speak with a manager and she was horrible. Made me feel it was our fault that we requested to be placed outside, I tried several times to explain that we had not and all she did was focus on the fact it was written on a piece of paper so we must have! The more I argued the more she argued back...even told me to lower my voice and perhaps we should go somewhere else to eat since we obviously were not going to be happy at the Giant Crab! If our kids were more flexible we would have left but for the kids we stayed. Not impressed at all, over priced for the quality of food and the cheep appearance of the establishment. Food is good but over crowded lines and staff pushing in with food replacements really was like a zoo!

The food was below par. Crab legs were over-cooked and everything else was pretty bland. The hibachi grill is its only saving grace, but the cook seasoned the dish with Italian seasoning from the Italian bar next to it. The staff, including the manager on duty when we visited, were not friendly, nor do they know what customer service is. Upon our arrival, we asked if there were any discounts offered. We were told that there was a $4 coupon in the coupon book. We asked if there were any other discounts and we were told no. When the check arrived, we asked about a Senior Citizen discount and were told that we needed to ask about that when we arrived. We said we did and were told that there was nothing they could do about it. We spoke to the manager who was rude, condescending and inept. She barely looked concerned and didnt even make eye contact. She said something to the effect that we didnt know how to go to restaurants. (Wait...whaaaa....?) Go somewhere else. This place is ridiculous for $32 per person.
