Worst service Ive ever experienced, I would not give them a single star if I could. My husband and I waited over 40 minutes for our food just to learn the waitress had not put our order in. The table next to us sat after us and had a larger party. Their food was almost ready. They cancelled our order entirely after we asked to pay and let them know we were catching a ferry. Very unapologetic and told us the food wouldnt be ready in time when we still had another 40 minutes before the ferry departs. Disheartened by the service. I will never visit them again. We could have easily picked up food somewhere else in time for the ferry had they let us know how long the wait was. Plan to wait a good 2 hours and be treated by crap if you do go.

Loved this place when we were there 6 years ago..sadly it has completely changed! Horrible food that all tasted like it came from a microwave. Very overpriced for the quality, our waitress seemed bothered to even have customers. My fathers beer was warm when it was brought to him. When he kindly mentioned it to our waitress her answer was to put it in a bucket of ice. It was $7 for what was obviously easy mac for our son. Disgusting fries that were far from fresh like they were in 2010. Unfortunately we will be eating somewhere else next time we are in Friday Harbor! Do not go here..plenty of other wonderful, fresh, and friendly restaurants nearby!

The Hungry Clam is a destination for my family and I. When we are stuck in Ohio most of the year we wish we could go around the corner to the Hungry Clam. The fish and chips are awesome as are the cheeseburgers. Some people say it is the closest thing to fast food on the Island, but fast food has nothing on the Hungry Clam. I would recommend going here at least once while visiting Friday Harbor. There are many good places to eat, but this place is really very good and worth the extra cost compared to a crap place like McDonalds. Everything is very fresh!

Great local diner. Usually there during the breakfast rush. Always great and friendly service. Prices are lower than most other island restaurants which is nice. The "Thelmas Favorite" is one of my fave choices for breakfast and their veggie benedict cant be beat! But come lunch time, you cant beat their burgers and jojos (herbed potato wedges)! For those claiming a long wait: only happens during the super crazy summer months. But its a popular local place, so either deal with it or go elsewhere and quit your whining.

Very good service, friendly people. We were party of 10, they were very patient with us and made us feel home. Retro Stle, very small place. Restroom is only after long line, just one available. Outside seating is better. Only for beers on the tap, But Good beers. We ordered, oysters sandwich, chicken sandwich, garden burger, fries, sweet potato fries, the best, calamari basket, Mac n cheese (not so good). Not so great Fish n Chips, try other stuffs mentioned above.

Everything was overcooked. They dont change the cooking oil as often as needed. Fish & Chips were dark brown and bitter as a result of overcooking. The cook is a smoker so watch out. I even asked why there fries are dark brown. Their response is because the sugar in the potatoes are turning them dark brown. In n Out of California uses real potatoes and they can make them golden brown. I would never go back to this place.

We asked to sit outside and even though two tables were open outside the young man seating us acted as though we were inconveniencing him. I ordered a beer but was told no one was there to pour the beer. Five minutes later a couple sits down at the table next to us and are both served beers.i ordered the fish and chips. The fish was greasy and the fries were soggy. My husband ordered the clam chowder which was runny.

I had the fish and chips. It was fantastic. The server seemed slightly irritated (but she was also alone at lunch hour) yet still friendly enough. She accidently charged me 20 instead of the full amount of the ticket, then charged me the full amount of the ticket with the 20 to be refunded on my debit card. Irritating but fine in the end. Cool atmosphere. Would definitely go again.

The customer service was absolutely terrible. The working hours were not defined and just happened to close while the middle of our group was ordering. The manner in which they announced their closure was poor and rude. Would highly NOT recommend this place for any person who is ever hungry because theyll likely close 15 minutes after opening. Complete trash. I hope you close

45 min wait after our order was in. My biscuit was stale and gravy luke warm. My eggs had been sitting for so long they were dry on the top. Another person in our party got his food, piping hot, about 10 mins after the rest of us. Salt on the wound- my fork was dirty and I had to ask for a refill.

This was a great place. Our first dinner on the island during a 5 night stay and this place set the bar high. Fish and chips were great, and the fried scallops were to die for! So moist and cooked perfectly. Waitstaff were great and very friendly to our 4yo son. We felt at home.

I love this place. The food is great and so is the service. Im a local, so I understand how this place can get overwhelmed at times. Go with the flow! I highly recommend the Friday Harbor Omelet for breakfast and the Fish & Chips for lunch.

Im a traditional breakfast lover. Bacon, eggs, hash browns and some kind of toast. This is my all time favorite breakfast place and all of the above are amazing. Everything is always cooked consistent and to perfection.

Went there and our group bought dinner and sat down to eat. Then the manager came out and told us to leave. Was not impressed with the way we were treated as customers. Seriously a poor way to treat paying customers.

Terribly rude staff. Dragged our stroller all the way up to their stairs only to have them tell us to put it and all our bags outside, even though the place was empty. Unacceptably rude service.

Very crowded and very little seating area. New staff was being trained and they were missing items on my order. Food was good and the people were friendly, just a large crowd and under staffed.

For a breakfast that states " Breakfast of champions" youd think that it comes with egg! Food was good for the value. Should of gone with lunch. Fish and chips looked awesome.

Very upsetting to have restaurants close whenever they feel like it... Especially when hours are posted. Came here on June 24th to a "Sorry were closed. See you at 5am" sign.

I always stop here when I work on island. I allow time before the ferry to have a beer and take a killer fish n chips on the boat. Its not fast food, so dont be a dick.

Portions are generous. Very young staff. Friendly. Had an inexperienced cook. Fish was overcooked and the salad wasnt well picked through for mushy pieces.
