The facility is very clean and tastefully decorated. I confirmed that the kimchi was made there, fresh along with most of the salted and fermented foods. The fresh kimchi was freash and appropriately seasoned. I ordered the kimchi jigae for dinner and found it quite excellent - ordered extra spicy, the heat didnt disappoint. My parents (lifelong residents of NC and SC) enjoyed most of the food. Forks were available, along with some soft drinks and a few americanized dishes. The host spoke perfect english and was friendly and professional. I was so surprised to find a truly authentic korean restaurant in Greenvile, SC. More, to find it authentic and well run. Anyone with a love for korean food or lacking fear of new experiences should check out this place. Now I know that I can get my kimchi jigae fix when I visit my family in the Carolinas. Ive rated five stars because of the excellent food preparation, clean facility and boldness in its geographic location.

I have been trying to get my wife to try this place for years, but due to the unfortunate location (behind the gas pumps) and less than interesting name...she decided that she was not very intrigued. Finally, she got the thumbs up from a friend that she trusts (apparently more than her husband) with dining choices and we gave it a go. WOW! An instant favorite and we have been back several times since. If you like ANY type of Asian cuisine at all...do yourself a favor and try this place once. The food is fresh and delicious and the view of customers from the gas station next door pumping gas out the front window is just added charm at no additional cost.

I travel for a living and try to avoid fast-food. I often research the city where I am holing-up for the night for something "different". Having no experience of Korean cuisine whatsoever, I walked in and asked the hosts advice. He recommended the bulgogi, which is middle-of-the-road as far as spiciness is concerned. The dish was awesome! It came with more than enough rice and three types of kimchi. I will stop in again on my next trip through the area and will try another dish upon their recommendation . As others have noted, look past the gas pumps out front.

This restaurant is located between a mattress outlet and a gas station, so I was hesitant on approach... But they blew me out of the water with the food. I hadnt had a Korean BBQ experience before, so I asked the staff what they recommend. I ended up getting the Dweji-Bulgogi, which was beyond excellent. In addition to this, the plethora of side dishes really filled me up quickly. I ate every plate, and left with a smiling full stomach. Highly recommend.

I spent several years in Kunsan, South Korea and have searched in numerous cities to find food similar to that which could be found in "A" Town... This by far the best that I have found! The food is amazing, the service is fantastic, and the decor of the restaurant is like a high class "Cherry Boys" or "Big Boys" I highly recommend this restaurant to those looking for the "A" Town atmosphere as well as the low prices and the Hite beer!

A diamond in the rough! The complimentary appetizer/sample dishes are a nice touch and are nearly enough for one persons meal. The main courses are authentic and fun. My soup came out vigorously boiling in a hot bowl and was absolutely delicious; my dates dish was served sizzling like a fajita. Korean restaurants are rare and Greenville is lucky to have such a good one. I will be returning frequently.

It was my first time to a Korean food restaurant and Ive had many exotic dishes before, but this was the worst by far. The Kim chi starters were just the start of a bad food night. My friend got the seafood pancake and it was overly chewy. Oily and had the worst fish taste ever. It took many brushings to get rid of the after taste.

This has to be one of the best Korean BBQs Ive ever had the pleasure of having! Id recommend the pancakes as something that you have to try if youve never had it. The Bulgolgi is delicious, and well paired with their fried rice. Dont let the exterior fool you, it is essentially in a gas station, but the food deserves accolades!

You know its promising when a Korean place is in a strip mall shared with a gas station. This place was authentic and delicious. Had the dolsot bibimbop and bulgogi. Good all around. As indicated by the location, ambiance leaves something to be desired; if given the choice Ill go with great food over ambiance everytime.

The food is absolutely delicious! I cannot believe we have lived here for 2 years and yesterday was the first day we stopped at this establishment. Not only is the food wonderful, but the owners are really friendly. We had a great experience, and we are looking forward to going back!

If you want great tasting authentic Korean home cooking served by sweet and caring "ahjumma", this is the place. This is not a very big restaurant but the food has huge flavor. Dont let the size of this place fool you. This will be my "go to" place for good Korean food in Greenville.

This place is wonderful. It doesnt look like much (behind a gas station!), but its good authentic Korean food. Its not cheap, but definitely not outrageous by any stretch. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, and the gentleman and his family who run it are very nice too.

The location is a little strange-being next to a gas station, but just go in! You will forget about the outside once you come in this clean, neat restaurant. I really like the owner, he is very nice. The plum tea is flavorful and all the dishes Ive tried so far are great quality.

My 2nd time there and 3rd at Korean restaurant in the US. I love it! Nice place, family restaurant... Food is amazing, atmosphere too, nice music, good service. We had a rice cake soup, pancakes w/ vegetables and sea food, and grilled pork.

Great mix of tasty Korean dishes served in a simple setting. Ive been here twice now and while it has never been super busy, which may make it even more of a hidden gem considering the area, everyone Ive taken has loved it!

Great local Korean restaurant. Friendly and fast service. The food is great Korean comfort food. The kimchi stew is spicy and comforting. The bulgolgi is served on a cast iron pan with cooked onions on the bottom.

This place isnt very popular and I dont know why. The service is nice and the food is good (if you like Korean) tucked away near a gas station, this place is great for people wanting to try something new.

Food was very good. Kimchi selection outstanding and very fresh. I try Korean restaurants when I can find them and have visited my fair share. This was one of the better ones.
