Easily the best BBQ in the Tampa Bay Area. I used to head to Hot Rod at least twice a week when I was down in Apollo Beach and they always had the best offerings. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon them catering a function at Water Works Park in Tampa. I slammed on the brakes, placed a few orders and came back to the office to serve up the foodporn to my staff. "Remember that place I was telling you guys about, well this is it!" The pulled pork, the ribs and all the comfort food sides you might imagine. Smoked to perfection so you really dont even need the sauce... that is until you taste the sauce. Absolutely amazing! You need to put this on your BBQ Bucket List!!!

3 strikes and Im done with this place. The cook has a serious attitude. 1st time I went the cook stunk of liquor, and nothing was ready. He even told me he was up all night so nothing would be ready. 2nd visit I was at least able to purchase a meal. The attitude was there, but nothing outrageous. 3rd visit I wanted to buy a slab of ribs and some sides. After 5 min of his pissy personality and iritaded responses I was fed up and just left. I will not be back.

Tried the majority of the menu items and have been very pleased. He is currently located about three minutes from my house. When we drive by and his grills are smoking, we roll down the windows and inhale the aroma. Hed get his fifth star if his hours were more consistant.

Asked for sauce on the side and got sauce all over my ribs called to see if he would make it wright he said he had to check video and audio to make i asked for sauce on side he would call me back never did 12 bucks down the drain

he was late, the food was below average, customer service non existant. It was 1:00 on a Saturday afternoon and he was at SAMS CLUB. I get 5 min down the road to eat and the foods barley room temp. Focus on 1 hustle at a time.

This delicious barbecue was at the Tampa Carnival and we enjoyed our wings and French fries. He has the best barbecue sauce. It was awesome!
