Iama Critic Rating - Golden Corral - 4 stars 3240 N Pleasantburg Drive, Greenville, SC Overall: My 2011 online review of this particular Golden Corral actually suggested driving to Spartanburg instead, that and firing all the chefs in Greenville. They must have listened because this restaurant has radically improved. Just the steaks alone went from not fit for my dog to outstanding. Seriously, this $14 buffet is now one of the best in the Upstate! Pick the right items and you simply eat like a king! Some buffet items: Collard Greens with Ham - 4 stars I hate collard greens, but wow, these were great, you should check out my pictures. Chicken Wings - 4 stars Golden Corral was running a wings special when we went. They served 6 or 7 flavors, regular and boneless, which was particularly good. In fact the wings were just as good as the more expensive wing joints, and you could have as many as you desired! Grilled Italian Sausage - 4 stars Oh baby, this sausage was good, the onions and peppers, not so good. I loved the grilled crisp, crunchy outer skin. It was a delight! I had some steak too, and it was quite yummy as well. Not that grizzled road kill they used to serve. Fried Chicken - 4 stars They were having a hard time keeping the bin full of this crispy, juicy, large pieces of golden fried chicken with a decent amount of spice. THE MOST DISGUSTING PLACE IVE EATEN YET! Not one dish is appetizing in this place, the macaroni is tasteless, the pizza and meatloaf is way to greasy. total waste of money. The only thing I enjoy is their desserts, at least those are half way decent. And do not try the chocolate fountain, the parents dont keep an eye on their kids and they end up sticking things that shouldnt be in there like chicken and meatloaf and even thier arms, taking a bite or licking it, and sticking it back in there. THAT CHOCOLATE IS RECYCLED PEOPLE AND NOW WERE EATING CHICKEN FLAVORED CHOCOLATE! The only thing worth your money is the service, but if your looking for a good eat, dont go here.

Love to eat here. Im a smart eater but my son can eat whatever he wants. This is the best buffet Ive ever eaten at, with a reasonable cost. The food has always been fresh, hot and tasty. Great selections on the salad bar as the lettuces are fresh and crisp as are all the veggies and cheeses, there are so many choices on the salad bar. Sometimes the waitstaff are not up to par but Ive found if I let them know that Im less than pleased with them then I get better service. All I ask of a buffet is to clear away plates and keep my glass full. Overall the food is super good and usually the waitstaff are pretty good.

I can not even possibly give this restaurant one star, but in order to post this I had to give it a star. It was the nastiest, dirtiest restaurant I have ever been to. The first table was smeared with what I am going to assume was food. The second table had what looked like vomit underneath. The third table I still had to wipe off with a napkin. I would not even dare to eat the food. If its that gross in the seating area what must the kitchen look like. And to top it all off whoever was in charge of the steaks was rude. How do you eat in a place like that? ......You DON"T.

Cost $13/person... Restaurant was not clean. Had horrible odor like a combination of bad seafood and sewage... Food was poor quality and with the odor it was nearly impossible to eat. The smell is worse on the salad bar side where the restrooms are. Thankfully we sat on the other side. This was my husbands pick and the kids wanted to try it... All together we paid $100 for our family to eat here and we would have had better food at Applebees or Chilies or almost anywhere and paid maybe $20 less!!! We wont be going back.

Best bread pudding ever. Seafood salad very good. Service was so-so. Had better at other places. In general the food was good, streak could have been tender. Veggies are ok and soup is good. Should be able to get kids price for seniors. We cant hold a lot of food as we once could. We get a buck off, should be cheaper for us. After all, we taught most of you everything you know. Never got sick from food there. I guess if you stuff your gut and make a hog of yourself, you could get sick.

If you plan on being bulimic and intend to puke your food back up then this is the place for you. I went there months ago and was disgusted by their restrooms which had such a horrible odor almost made me loose my meal. Only to think surely they had taken care of that problem this next visit, clearly they hadnt because now half of the restaurant smells of that barhroom, I literally almost puked every time I walked toward the salad bar which is next,to the restroom

I love this place but it seems like tonight some of the workers have attitudes. I know times are hard and that they probably have one or two more jobs then this one but seriously come on. I myself am a landscaper, I work outside all the time in the extreme heat and the cold doing hard labor, what the heck are these people complaining about?

They changed there mac n cheese it tastes like parmesan cheese now. And its a creamy white color with a smidge of yellow. Its disgusting. Go back to the old mac n cheese and i might come back. I was yalls best customer came in almost every sunday for lunch until you changed the mac n cheese . very dissapointed

80 dollars for a family of 7( 3 adults 4 kids).. Food is alright I guess, if you get it fresh (great dessert though). The dishes and silverware are very nasty and unclean, I personally ate and drank with plastic ware. Overall, its a good option if you dont feel like cooking dinner!

Four stars for the value. Where else can a senior citizen dine for less than $9 and get drinks, excellent salad bar, decent buffet food and nice desserts (especially carrot cake), and coffee?! The food varies from 2-3 stars. And, it is a rather fun place if you like to people watch!

July 29th, 2017. Visiting from Waukegan, IL. The restaurant is clean. The servers polite, kept tables clean and asked guest did they want refills, etc. The workers very clean looking. The food nicely displayed. The food was good and hot. A little pricey. The restrooms clean.

The food is decent the service is really nice but in honesty it isnt a very clean place and some of the people that are coming in STINK. And your not getting enough for what you pay.... not to be rude but unless your obese or eat like a pig it isnt worth the money!

Overall good experience. Waitress was great and friendly. Food was fresh and they werent letting anything run out. Dessert bar was fair. The new steak was very good. The cashiers could do a little better. But all in all, the restaurant is doing pretty well.
