To start things off, we were told it was going to be a 30 minute wait for a party of 5. There were a number of booths that hold 4 people open during our 60 minute wait, so I was surprised to find ourselves sat in a booth with a chair at the end on a table that had just opened up. Service was slow, but to be expected for a busy night. I ordered the seared tuna, which had obviously sat out for some time after preparation because instead of the inside being cool and the outside still warm from the sear, it was all a consistent warm temperature. The evening was already late so I didnt waste any more time to let the kitchen remake my entrée. Wont be returning anytime soon.

The last time I went to Saki Tumi, we had an awful experience. The waitresses were lazy, snotty, and unattentive. One of us ordered the lamb chops which came to us rawer than raw, so we gave it back to the waitress. After talking with the cook, she came back with the plate and said "this is how its supposed to be." There was blood oozing out of it. EW! I ordered some nigiri and I counted two black hairs in the sushi. But I didnt want to "offend" that waitress any further. Please reconsider going here. This happened a couple months ago and I am STILL steamed about it.

Decent food. Poor service. We ended up here after staying at a nearby hotel after a recommendation by the hotel staff. The atmosphere was great with exposed brick. Food & drink menu were diverse while not too deep. Solid nightly specials. Tried spicy tuna and shrimp tempura. Below par. Miso soup. Too heavy and spicy. Toasted goat cheese was great. All portions were very small. Waiter was MIA most of night and when asked if they had brown rice said they could make some up by mixing teriyaki sauce with it..? Felt like we should have tried Tsunami.

As the star rating says; it was ok. Service was marginal. The waiter didnt even think to bring us the sauces and we had to ask. Took a long time between courses, and the restaurant was basically empty. Didnt like the music. Too hard, too loud, and it sounded like it was catering to a very young hip hop crowd. I tried this place because Living Social had a 50% off coupon. I usually go to Tsunami and that si where I will keep going. The food was ok but it wasnt cheap for what you were getting.

I wish there were more restaurants like this in the Southeast! Great selection on the menu -- I was with a group that was split, half sushi lovers, half sushi haters -- and everyone found something that they loved on the menu. Also, the peach mojito -- one of the best mojitos ive every had. Service was great, food was great and atmosphere made me feel like I was in DC, Atlanta or NY. If you are traveling through the area, you gotta check it out. By far some of the best sushi ive had.

I am a sushi enthusiast. So when I read their menu and saw some exciting different options I was excited to dive in. The sushi was clearly not made by a "master" with tens of years of experience. The descriptions did not really match what was delivered. It is very disappointing to read the combination of ingredients and when it is placed in front of you 1/3 of them arent there. That made me feel ripped off, but I am not going to argue about it. I wont be back.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Vista. I recommend it all the time for anyone whos looking for a variety of delicious food. I dont eat sushi but I keep coming back for the Stir Crazy Chicken Hibachi....best Ive ever had. Great atmosphere, location and staff. They always have specials throughout the week, but I love going on Saturday nights when the Sakis are half priced. Skittles is the best flavor! Check them out...you wont regret it!

This is probably one of the worst sushi restaurants I have ever eaten at. Maybe in a college town the students dont know any better. A poor menu and a staff more interested in hanging out drinking and trying to be cool. I have tried this restaurant twice now due to it being right next to the hotel I stay at when Im in town on business. I wont be going back again.

Slowest service ever. Took 45 min to get our sushi and it was not that good. Its a bunch of college students working there that just hang out with their friends and dont care about customers. I also asked our server for something when I got my food and she just went to a table and sat down and talked to them for 10 minutes. Awful service.

The food was outstanding, the only thing is for the price, I was expecting a bit larger proportions. Service was good, although she didnt seem to know the answers to the questions one of the people I was dining with was asking regarding specials and drinks. Would eat there again if I went during happy hour, and for the sushi.

There are several choices for sushi in the same general area. I randomly choose Saki Tumi and was not disappointed. I was there alone and found the staff to be very friendly; the sushi fresh & artfully served. I recommend this restaurant; give it a try if you are craving sushi. Check out the daily drink special.

Decent prices for someone on a budget. The building is really unique. Limited and awkward parking, but worth the walk. If you do park elsewhere and have a stub, they will take it off the price of your meal. Delicious food and decent servers for a college town. Definitely geared for younger consumers.

When we came on a Saturday night, they were out of Son of a Peach beer, out of the sushi we wanted and out of enough cups for the saki. So what do they have in stock? Otherwise, the food was good and the atmosphere was very nice and cozy in my opinion. Maybe it was an off night.

I eat here all the time. When I cant make it in, I order delivery from 256-ToGo. The sushi is so fresh you would assume it was straight off the boat. I dont know how they do it. The entrees are also not to be missed. Its an A+ every.single.time.

Sushi was good but a touch pricey. Drinks were very interesting, I recommend the Sin Fusion ($7.50): cucumber vodka, cucumber and jalapeño infused apple juice. Service was mediocre but it was packed and we had a large group.

Staff was friendly but service took a long time as did food. An ice cream was ordered at our table and when it arrived, it had melted. Salmon crunch roll was so fresh, I ordered two. Try it with the Thai chili sauce.

Every time I go the food is perfection, whether I order sushi or an entree from the grill. The service is great and the restaurant has a amazing and positive energy. I recommend Saki Tumi to everyone!!

Always a good time. Great bar and serving staff. Can have a party-ish atmosphere sitting at the bar, or a private meal sitting back against the windows, with a good middle ground at the tables.

I have been there twice and both times I have had wonderful service and the food was excellent. We were seated immediately and it is a really nice environment! I would definitely recommend!
