Went for the first time last week. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience, staff and management is friendly; that combined with the interior give a great atmosphere. Cant wait to see what this place is like during the summer on the outside patio and during spring/summer sports season. Food. The food is GREAT. The burger (the Markdonald) in this case was filling and rich. And the wedge fries are great. Cant wait to eat my way through the menu. The Milkshakes are fantastic! And even have alcoholic options, something Ill have to try on my next visit. Drinks. Diverse, and just about anything youd want from a sports bar. Interesting mixed drinks, and a wide range of Beer selection. Certainly a place to go to try Isolde good beers. Price. My biggest and only gripe with Grill Marks. The food is great, but at their price point (A few dollars above Liberty which is just down the street) while I do appreciate the good food and fair service paying $25 for food, fries (which you have to buy separately) and a milkshake is a bit cost prohibitive. Great experience over all and a great local addition I look forward to seeing develop and seeing how they adapt tot the Columbia scene.

We just finished there. We waited approximately 30 minutes for a milkshake and our food. It wasnt busy at all. We asked for skinny fries and we got fat fries instead. I didnt want to ask for the others because everything took so long. Tables were left unbussed for a very long time. The two bar/milkshake guys seemed like they didnt know what they were doing. Salted caramel milkshake tasted like vanilla and thats it. $6 wasted for crap. What a serious bummer. I would hate to be there for dinner or during a busier time. I bet the food takes twice as long at least. Our burgers (French connection and stuffed blue) were under seasoned to the max. Our waitress was running around like a chicken with her head cut off and was incredibly disorganized. We are super bummed and definitely wont be back. It was ridiculously overpriced as well. Ive had gourmet burgers before and they are well worth the money. This was a huge let down.

My husband and I LOVED the nachos and my husband love his burger. I asked for my burger well done, and it came to me with a pinkish center. Gross! We ordered shakes, and I asked for my shake to be thick. Nope my shake wasnt thick. It was pretty runny. Booo! The thing that irritated me the most is the garage door remained opened/flies able to come in & go out as they pleased. It made no sense to me (at all) to keep the garage door open to let the cool air out and the flies in. Why not close the garage door for those that wish to stay cool in this ridiculous heat and use the regular door? Why not close the garage door so customers dont have to worry about fanning away flies? We will not return to the restaurant until winter when the flies wont harass us while trying to eat.

The execution still has some work given its only their 2nd week open. The host team was very pleasant and upbeat, said hi and goodbye. There wasnt any sort of atmosphere, no music which made for a lackluster atmosphere. Our service needed the most help. Took 30 min for two burgers cooked MR, both overcooked we were never checked with us about the time, had to ask for silver and napkins. Servers cam bartend but bartenders cant serve. A manager walked by us many times, again no acknowledgement. For their first week, it was very busy and Im sure it will only get better from. Chain restaurant, A for effort, burgers were good just not properly cooked, service needs improvement.

Never been here before. Nice place. The cafe au poivre burger we both ordered. No flavor at all and just bland. The sauce was terrible. The waitress put our sides in separate when we ordered, so, all that came out was the burger. The fries and onion rings came out at least 15 min later and we already had finished the burger. The waitress was sweet, but we felt rushed when we didnt need to be and then when we were trying to leave it took forever to get the check and for her to come get our cards. $50 check. Not worth it and wont be back. If youre going to sell burgers, please make sure youve mastered the patty itself! We wanted to love this place, but we didnt.

They make a great burger but apparently you have to specifically ask for fries as I didnt get any. No time to haggle over it during a quick lunch but next time I will know. The prices are not what i would call cheap but very competitive compared to the heat lamp burgers you get at the fast food chains especially when you factor in the quality. They also have a full service bar so it is a great place for groups. They have a giant garage door that opens up to turn the entire restaurant into an outdoor dining facility. Someone should explain to them how the Columbia summer heat works. Lesson 2 should explain how flies work. Other than that a pretty nice joint.

Place has a great atmosphere, but it took over an hour to get our food. Our waitress, while very sweet, was nowhere to be found the entire 1.5 hours we were there. The cocktail I ordered was not my thing (which I recognize is on me), but once we finally got our food, it was so spicy I could not take more than two bites. I chugged my water and stole my friends, but couldnt find anyone to get a refill for awhile. Once our waitress returned, she apologized for the spicy food and offered to get me a milkshake. It took so long my mouth was no longer burning by the time it got to us. $33 for a meal that was thrown away in the end. Not going back.

Went for lunch. Ordered a corn chowder and a burger. Youd think itd be self-explanatory that the chowder would be an appetizer. Not so at Grill Marks. Waited 40 min for my soup and burger to come out. Now youd say, well why didnt you just ask your server about it? Good thinking, if she was available. She was no where to be found in the entirety of the wait for our food. Burger was overcooked and half the size of the bun it was on. French Connection burger was good, which is why there are 3 stars, but get that lunch act together.

The first thing that we were impressed with was the menu! So many choices of not your average burgers and appetizers! It was hard to make a decision. The atmosphere was wonderful and service was great! We had the Chowder Head Fries which was awesome and we shared a Firehouse Burger. We had to take off points for the burger being slightly overcooked...we asked for medium rare and it was well done. Otherwise the food was delicious. Would have liked to try a milkshake but couldnt fit it in!! Lol!!

Cool atmosphere, great service and friendly staff. Went with a small group for the first time, but was unable to try the food because they ran out of gas on a Saturday night. Manager was very kind and offered us coupons for free appetizers on our next visit. Will definitely visit again and update my review! Update: When we returned to use our free appetizer coupons, I was very unimpressed. Our server was rude and hardly ever at our table, and the food was just okay. Probably wont be coming back.
