I have lived in Japan and eaten sushi/sashimi in hundreds of restaurants over the years across the U.S. and abroad. This is an amazing place with simply wonderful prices for exceptional food. When I first moved to the Metro West Boston area, I thought I would have to make constant trips into the city to find good sushi/sashimi (and pay the very high prices there as well). When I first noticed this restaurant, I was at best reluctant to even consider it, but the reviews influenced me to give it a try. Thank goodness I did because it is wonderful. The prices are better than reasonable - up to half of what I have paid at other Boston area sushi restaurants and the food has been exceptional - high quality, fresh and no cutting back on the quantities. And I have not yet encountered any issue with the service. Each time Ive been there it was timely, helpful and courteous. However, I have not been there at the truly busiest times. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and would not hesitate to bring even the pickiest person I know who also loves sushi/sashimi.

The food is tasty - not quite as good as you would get in a major city but it is better than the other Japanese restaurants in greater Milford/Franklin. Menu is limited however so if you go multiple times expect repeat orders. They cant seem to get their meals timed - the sushi bar and the kitchen never bring out the meals at the same time. Result? If someone is eating sushi and someone isnt, someone has to watch the other eat. Staff is friendly and nice. I would (and do) go again.

Very few Japanese restuarants in America are owned by Japanese. What you get most of the time is a Chinese version of Japanese. Wanokura is owned by a Japanese chef so youre getting correctly prepared Japanese food. Its probably one of the best in area between NY and Boston. I say that after living in Japan for 14 years and having a Japanese wife. For non sushi, I like the Zaru Udon in the summer, and karage chicken is my goto appetizer. Make sure you enjoy the Japanese beer too.

Having to recently re-locate to Boston from NYC, being able to find authentic and great Japanese restaurants was one of my major concerns. Finding Wanokura has definitely eased my concern. The sashimi was very well prepared. I just wish Wanokura was located closer or in Boston because I have not been able to find an authentic and great Japanese restaurant in the Boston area that could measure up to Donguri or Morimoto in NYC.

We made a reservation and they didnt reserve us a table so we ended up waiting for 15/20 minutes to be seated. Once seated we waited another 15 mintues until we were asked if we wanted anything to drink at which point we were ready to order. We didnt get our food for another 30 minutes. Over all service was horrible and the food was average especially since they didnt have a plain rice or noodle dish. Would not come back.

Hello, This place has fantastic Sushi. Excellent simple atmosphere very clean and plenty of space in the dining room. You can sit at the sushi bar or at a table. The sushi is very good. I had several tuna rolls and they were all among some of the best I have had. You can go here if you like a great sushi selection. I also enjoyed an authentic Japanese beer which I dont remember the name of but was excellent. Enjoy.

I am very picky about food quality, the fish freshness and the rice application of sushi. Outstanding is all I have to say about Wanokura. I also was impress with how the wait staff worked together to get our drinks. It helps us get our younger child something to do. Both quality of food, and friendliness of staff was very appreciated. Thank you for a wonder time Wanokura, it was a pleasant time.

I have lived in both CA and MA and I LOVE this place. My boyfriend and I eat here at least once a month. The sushi is EXCELLENT. The service could be a little better but I think its mostly because of how busy they are most of the time. They have traditional japanese seating as well as regular tables. I would recommend the avacado salad, any of the sushi, and their house sake. Great place!

A nice place to grab sushi, or other Japanese fair in Milford. Its not anything special, but the sushi was fresh, and the chicken teriyaki I had was quite good. The portions were good as well, so you can bet you wont be leaving with an empty stomach.

This sushi restaurant is amazing. I went to all the sushi restaurants near my house, and this one is the best, in my opinion. I go there regularly with my dad. My favorite thing on their menu is the amy maki, although I like all of their sushi.

This is a little gem, very good, fresh sushi at a very reasonable price. And best of all, its close to many towns along I495 without having to drive into Boston or Worcester. Very recommended!
