I live in York but rarely eat out here for sushi (I usually get it during my lunch hour in Harrisburg because it is cheaper during lunchtime). I decided to try this place the other night after reading good reviews, but I feel that the food was so bad, that I needed to write a review. We ordered the 3 roll special that had the spicy tuna roll, crab roll, and arizona roll along with the tiger roll. The roll special came with soup, so we opted for the wonton soup, since a review said the Chinese food side of the menu was pretty good too. Sadly, none of the rolls were good. The rolls that had crab did have "real" crab (not a crab stick) but that did not take away from the overall bad taste of the ingredients when they were put together. The worst part was the wonton soup, which I literally spit out. This part was embarrasing, since I could not hide that part from my date. Maybe they do have good items and I just ordered the grossest ones they offer.

First time ordering from this place. Never tried a Chinese/Japanese restaurant before. Will NEVER try one again. The "hibachi" was not worth the $20+ price tag. I recently ordered a Steak and Chicken, and Steak and shrimp. They drowned it in the soy sauce mixture you would find for a beef and broccoli dish.The amount of steak was maybe 1.5 ounces at max ( 5 tiny small pieces of steak ). The sauces were disgusting (one was just plain soy sauce). The fried rice was the chinese rice, you clearly can tell the difference and the flavor was not correct. The "Miso Soup" was mediocre, and had literally a layer of tofu in it, ruining the consistency of the soup. I will never order from here again. Same price as Fujihana or Masa, and both provide exceptionally better quality dishes with each having their own twist on the hibachi. Lesson learned on my part.

Portion size and variety for veggie sushi is very poor. The service is also poor due to a focus on being cool and trendy (prepare for hipster-slang and shoulder shugs in-lieu of communication). If they worked on their menu, portion size, and quality of service, the restaurant could actually be worth the high prices. I doubt its going to improve, they have enough customers who feel the need to eat at a quasi "trendy restaurant", that they dont have to approach the quality of food and service that are typical of any major city. There are many better choices in the York area.

My hubby and I love this place and go here often. The service is excellent, and the owner is very kind and always takes time out to speak to us personally. The food it delicious with a lot of variety - definitely above average sushi. The sushi/sashimi is always fresh and I love that everything is so open so you can watch your food being made (if you so choose). The restaurant is always clean and tidy. I highly recommend you try it!

I personally dont think it is that bad but I can get the same thing at Kissho sushi (which is right up the street) and its actually better and less money. I think that if youre going to charge more you should have a product worth the price youre charging. My rolls looked like they were put together by a child and I paid ten dollars for a side salad.

We ordered the sushi and sashimi combo and diet revolution - veggie and shrimp. The veggies were mostly asparagus and broccoli, so pleasanty surprising. Lots of shrimp. The sushi was fresh and yummy. My hunan sauce was exquisite. My only complaint, if I must, was the check-out was a little selfish with sauce, especially ginger. Will go again.

Ive had sushi at a lot of places in York PA this one is by far the best tasting and the best price. They have amazing egg rolls, great soup, and delicious fried red curried rice. I wish I could eat there all the time so I could keep tasting everything they have to offer. Staff is excellent also. Thank you Mitsuru Ya!

Great food and pairs nicely with a movie thanks to the meal/ticket combo offered here in partnership with frank theaters nearby. The food can sometimes be vegetable heavy, so keep that in mind. Personally I love all of the noodles, particularly the ramen.

My husband and I ordered 4 rolls and soup. The service was fast and polite. The miso soup was good but the rolls were awesome. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. They were prepared and presented beautifully. My new favorite sushi spot in york!

Never had a bad experience, even with large parties. The sushi is very fresh and tasty. The staff is friendly and remembers us when we go in. My very favorite place for sushi in PA, MD or NJ. Never had better. Now I want some.

Sorry, but if this is the best sushi in York, then dont eat sushi in York. The food here isnt a decent representation of either Chinese or Japanese. The staff was friendly and the place was clean but the food was not good.

Terrific Sushi! Fresh! Best hot tea! Green tea ice cream has excellent flavor! Service personable, attentive and accommodating. Employees seemed like a fun team which added to the relaxed atmosphere!

So the beer is cold!! The spicy garlic beef& broccoli is slamming, and my chick says the sushi is fantastic. Not sure about the speed of service, but wait staff was very friendly. Recommend this place.
