First time going to Roost. Excited to try it. I was ordering for myself and another who told me what to get via the menu on their facebook. The Facebook page shows up at least 6 links before their website on Google. I assumed their menu on FB was up-to-date. The dish I wanted to order was on $7.50 on FB. When I got to Roost, I ordered and the lady told me what I wanted wasnt on the menu and to refer to the menu in the store. I explained what I wanted and that it was on the facebook menu. She said "We only have whats on this menu". Made me feel stupid, but did offer a suggestion - Order the similar item and add a side to make it exactly what was posted on FB for $7.50. The total for her suggestion was over $11.00. Classic bait and switch. I left without getting anything. There was no apology or offer to make it right. They probably wont even update the FB after this. Does the BBB care about bait & switch? I know I do.

Was in York for two weeks and luckily stumbled upon this restaurant. Only managed to get there twice, definitely would go back if Im ever in the area again. The staff was extremely friendly both times. The food was killer. I got the Alabama Slammer the first time and the pork sandwich the second time. You cannot beat freshly smoked BBQ and Baron Von Schwein knows how to do it right. The house made sodas are worth a try too. I liked them both, despite hardly ever being a soda drinker. If youre walking down the street the smell alone should draw you in and youll definitely be glad you did.

16 year old son worked there to fill in for a busy Friday during Resturant week. Its been 3 months and the owner Curt refuses to pay him his $70 for a days work. After several emails, phone calls and text messages over 3 months the owner has yet to make ANY contact to pay a days wage. Who does this to a 16 year old? He helped you out when you wanted him to on his day off from school. You gave him a hat and tshirt but cant pay him his salary of $70? He has your hat and tshirt ready to give back.

My wife and I dont go downtown very much so I can tell you we are a year and a half behind on missing the opening of Baron Von Schwein unfortunately. I was looking at restaurants online and saw this and we decided to go there for dinner with another couple. The restaurant was clean, the help was courteous, and the food was incredible. We each got something different and we all were well pleased. Wont be too long until we go back again..! Theyve earned our stamp of approval..!!!

Ive been to the restaurant twice before during the summer, but today I went with a friend and for some reason I really loved what I had today, which questions me why I didnt post a great review before today since the food is already great enough. The cooks never mess around when it comes to their food. Their newest cheese-steak has me wanting more, honestly. The mop sauce gives it a very addition to it, too! Service was incredible.

I love the pork buns and I love the baked corn!! Normally I get one sweet and one spicy pork bun as well as the ultimate bowl! It costs a bit more than I should spend but it tastes so good that I dont care! They are also BYOB which is awesome!

Love this place. The "ultimate bowl" is my go to meal but everything I have had there is so good. Its a great local place to get a quick bit to eat that will fill you up. Wish they were open later hours so i could go more often.

Loved it! Fresh toasted roll with a savory and sweet brisket deliciously moist with wonderful flavor of sautéed onions cheese and sauce. A definite revisit. Try their homemade sodas..a must!
