This is the best burger Ive had from anywhere in Philadelphia. Usually when you get a burger from a fast food restaurant, you become disappointed that it doesnt look the one from the commercial you saw on TV. This burger lives up to your expectations. Its perfectly cooked, and looks and tastes great. Their fries and shakes are great as well. Might seem a bit pricey for a fast food restaurant, but in reality youre getting "real" restaurant quality food. They have great decor and great customer service. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Each table is made out of an old recycled park bench or bowling alley lane, which is kind of cool. There is a TV that usually plays a sports game if youre into sports. They also play great music. Its my go-to place for a great burger with friends.

Shake Shack has been on my must visit list for a year now, so please dont think that my rating is inflated. The burger was delicious, and I tried their seasonal blueberry lemonade. It was a little sweet for my taste (and I love everything sweet) but it was a nice balance to the Smoke Shack burger I had. The location and restaurant itself were very nice. They even had one of my favorite little touches, a filtered drinking water tap in the dining area. It was great for someone like me who wanted something else to drink on a warm day after I was done with the lemonade. I didnt try the shakes themselves, but I feel that Shake Shack is just as famous for their burgers as they are for their frozen treats. I will certainly be visiting again to try them.

1. Fast and friendly customer service! 2. Great marketing and appearance, inside and outside 3. Very clean 4. Food was pricer than I was prepared as an out-of-towner, first time diner but was not disappointed in the experience 5. Ordered a chicken sandwich and burger (had cherry peppers?) unsure of the name and a salted caramel milkshake. And an order of fries to share. 6. 5 guys may give u more in the serving of fries, but these crinkles were heaven 7. The burger patty was vary superior than the chicken sanwhich, and superior than 5 guys or any other sit-down, fast service joint (the level above fast food, not Wendys/McDs level. The Chiptole level of food/speed/service). 8. Highly recommend!!!

Love this place. I went here for the first time today and I thought it was awesome. The hamburgers are really unique, tasty, and perfectly cooked. Theyre not nearly as greasy as some places (like Five Guys) and the same goes for the fries. Theyre crinkle cut and crunchy, not greasy. My one complaint is that the hamburger (Smoke Shack) was a bit salty, but that could have been the bacon. Ill definitely be back to try one of their shakes. Highly recommended!

I am a Shake Shack lover!!! I went opening day and 4 days consecutively after! The staff is unbelievable. The one guy remembered me every day I came back and today. Everyone is really nice there and the food is so delicious! The shakes are amazing, especially the Fair Shake and Peanut Butter. The only con is there arent many options for vegetarians, only the Portebello Burger. They do have a chicken dog, but it would be nice to have a veggie burger as well.

My experience was beyond amazing! The employees were amazing, the food was amazing, everything was amazing! I was astonished when an employee went out of her way to ask me for my name and favorite ice cream when she found out it was my birthday and she got all the employees together to sing me happy birthday! Their service is beyond great! It was my first time going and I will definitely never forget it and will return with no hesitation!

Ive had a lot of burgers and this place takes it for me. Great bun, fresh lettuce and tomato, fresh ground quality beef and a great sauce of their own creation. The cheese fries are also to die for. Always fresh oil and 3 types of cheese. Very creamy. They also have home made desert type foods that are excellent and the staff is extremely friendly. I go every time I can before a Helium Comedy show.

Like PBR, this place is only hype and not that good. Five Guys Burgers is vastly better than this place. The food here is so so at best, but to add to that it is overpriced for what you get. I spent $25 for 2 small burgers, 2 small drinks, and 1 small fries, thats outrageous! You would think with prices like that the food would at least be decent, but boy was I wrong. Avoid this place if you can.

I loved my burger and the beer was very good too. The beer was specifically brewed for Shake Shack by Brooklyn Brewery. I recommend it. I did get my dog a snack from here, because they do offer dog food. He got violently ill. Lots of puking and diarrhea. Stay away from that, do not let your dog eat from here. As far as burgers, however, this place is pretty much as good as it gets.

Great delicious and juicy burgers, including the mushroom burger if you are avoiding meat. In addition, Shake Shack is a Gold Star establishment, as rated by the Restaurant Opportunities Center - they pay their employees livable wages and benefits, unlike many restaurants, so they deserve support. The food is good, atmosphere urban casual, take the kids and "pig out" with joy.

Great burger and shakes (and beer). Decent prices. If youve never been to Shake Shack the set up is such that you have to get in line and order from the window and then they will call you when your food is ready. One issue is that it can be tough to grab a table during peak times. But dont worry if you cant, just grab it to go and take it down the street to Rittenhouse Square.

A little pricey, and everything is sold separately as in, if im buying a buger and i want fries with it, i would have to purchase a burger with fries, rather than it come together as a platter. But for what it is worth, the burgers are slaming. If jf you ask me the prices are the way they are because of the location of the shack which is dead smack in the middle if downtown.

Great Burgers, Good Shakes. My only "first world problem" is the burger is deceptively filling, too filing. I say problem because I was really hungry & ordered cheese fries as well but the burger was really filling & I felt I was going to waste the fries. I recommend ordering a single item 1st. Not exaclty cheap. Highly recommend you check them out.

Their vegetarian burger is ok, but unique in that it is made with 2 portobello mushroom caps stuffed with muenster and cheddar cheeses, not some tofu or bean patty. The fries & shake were also good. This is not a bad place. But Roam Burgers in San Francisco and the chain Counter are better options for gourmet vegetarian burgers.

The prices are a bit higher than the quality and quantity of burgers and fries, but their shakes, concretes and hot chocolate (seasonal, apparently) are all very good and fairly priced. If youre going to get their food, Id recommend their hot dogs - flavorful and filling compared to everything but their "Smokeshack" burger.

One word... delicious! First timer from California was pleasantly surprised by how fresh/juicy burgers chicken sandwiches were. Even the natural lemonade had right amount of sweet /sour. What made it better was the awesome service, people at the downtown Philly location were very personable and service helped make me a fan.
