It might be being generous to give them a three star rating but after trying to find somewhere else to eat where i could park a bus I was happy that their parking lot did fit the bus even though it was a little tight. The problem i had that made me feel like a three star rating is generous is the fat that when I went to pull out of the parking lot onto the main road there were no warnings that their were telephone wires hanging down low. I had come into the lot from the side street and went to exit on the main road but the only thing that might have been there to warn was one single orange cone that distracted me from seeing what was above. Fortunately I heard the wires scrape the top of the bus before there was any damage done to the wires or the bus. The reason I was willing to give as many as three stars wasnt for the niceness of the restaurant but rather the attentiveness of those working who although maybe a little slow getting to me since it was just after noon on a Sunday and there were some bigger parties in there it seems as though they did a tag team type effort as one young lady came to get my drink order, another one brought it out and asked if I was ready to order and then when I said I needed a few minutes but asked her a couple questions which she answered before walking away and then finally a third young lady who I had seen working with the group at a large table next to me who finally came and took my order. I had decided to get a steak and coconut shrimp meal that was on their specials list and that was so filling I took enough home for two more meals but then I dont eat much at a meal anymore anyway due to a strict diet that I am on. The food was good and I was pleased that although it was not mentioned the steak had mushrooms on it that helped give it an even better taste than just a steak would have been. If I am ever back in the area I will try to find somewhere else to go but if there is no where else I can park a bus safely I might come back and just be aware of the dangers given by the low hanging wires. Dont try to bring a large truck in here but if you want to try them out there may be another parking lot in the area you can pull into if its not covered with snow.

I have lived in the area for 10 years. Always ate at the friendly neighborhood diner. Voula and her husband always took the time to say hello, how are you and good-bye.Food was great at a very good price. Service from the wait staff was also very good and still is. Sorry but we have gone there a few times and the new owners barely looked up to say hello, never asked -how are you and barely or not even said good-bye--- We will not be back were as we can spend our money elsewhere and be traeted like nice customers. The waitress was horrible, the owner just stood back and watched. Our meal took 20 minutes to order, 20 minutes to bring simple desert. Finally saw them go next door for scoop of ice cream, then charge 2.00 for one scoop. The other waitress had people eating that came in after us, before we could place our order. Never going back!!! By the way, I am usually a 20% + tipper, she got 1% today.

We stopped in after they were to close. There was another couple still eating. We were shown to a table and told that as long as there were people eating they would stay open. The food was great down home cooking. We had a stuffed green pepper portions were large enough we could not eat all the food we were given.

Overpriced $18.00 for mac and cheese and salad with chicken, vegetables bland, stewed tomatoes more like stewed onions and tomatoes . Will never go back, used to be a great place with great food and fair prices . Waitress wasnt very pleasant either acted like she was doing us a favor waiting on us.

Gyros are the best, soup is always the great addition to any meal, coffee is hot and fresh, save room for dessert or take some home with you like I always do! Great friendly staff I live in Pocono Lake and it is worth the short trip to eat there and I always get some take out for lunch the next day!

Great service and delicious food! And in a great location in the middle of mountain home. Perfect for any meal and you can easily drive to antique and candle shops, or Callies candy kitchen or pretzel factory. Ive been to the mountain home diner many times and whatever I order never disappoints!

I had the chicken pot pie. I could barely finish it and it was delicious!! Servers and owner were super friendly and helpful. Even the patrons were in a good mood. I really liked the place and look forward to going back next time Im nearby. Too bad the ice cream place next door wasnt open.

My boyfriend and I werent crazy about the food, but the place was clean, the menu extensive, and the service was excellent. Oh and the prices were incredibly reasonable!! We are foodies, so we are pretty picky. If you want decent food at a cheap price, then this is your diner.

We had breakfast at the diner. Food was delicious and came our rather quick. The restaurant is clean and atmosphere is very pleasant. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast for 2 came out to $20. Definitively recommended. They also serve lunch and dinner.

Great food, friendly service. Old time diner environment. Everyone knows each other and are super friendly. Went 1st night of vacation and ended up returning second night as well. Forget the fancy overpriced restaurants this is the spot to eat.

First time eating here under new mangement. Everything was wonderfu! Great portions for the price. New owners are just as friendly was the old owners. Will be back as soon as we can! If your in the area, stop by you wontbe disappointed.

Good little diner to stop in for a bite to eat if youre in the area. Portions are large, and everything tasted really good. The staff were friendly, and the place was spotless. Pricing was in line with any other diner.

Great little diner! Will return for breakfast, sure they have a great one. Great salad and appetizers, steak was not great, but if you want a good steak, you should go to a steak restaurant! Kids loved it!

Delicious home cooked meals. We were passing through area and glad we stopped. One of the best meals weve had. Homemade banana cheesecake was awesome and great service. Would definitely recommend!

Very good time. Great waitress and food. A bit odd in the beginning, we werent given menus and were waiting a couple minutes and felt a bit rushed out. Huge servings at great prices.
