Im a big fan of old school traditional diners. I randomly stumbled upon the Snydersville Diner while traveling through the Poconos. Upon walking in, it was clear that this was a traditional old diner much like the one my grandmother worked in many years ago. Its nothing fancy. Theres plenty of chrome all around. It looks like it hasnt changed one bit in the decades its been open, yet it is clean and tidy. The food is simple but delicious. Theres nothing fancy; just your standard diner fare. Everything was hot, fresh and made exactly as it should be. Diners are about comfort food and that what you find here. The waitresses are your classic diner waitresses. They are friendly and more than happy to suggest the best items on the menu yet just gruff enough so you know that you probably dont want to mess with them. The only odd thing is that the waitresses wear what appears to be a uniform youd find on an employee in a doctors office. Its not a bad thing, just odd. One of the things that our waitress provided a suggestion on was dessert. Snydersville Diner is apparently well known for baking a huge variety of pies. Since we were there in the Fall, I chose a slice of pumpkin pie. The waitress told me that she suggested that I order a slice of pumpkin cream pie instead. She was right, it was delicious. Though I suspect that it would be very hard to find a pie on their menu that isnt delicious! Whether you want a delicious fresh cooked meal, yummy pie or just a step into the past, this diner is worth a visit.

If you like food without much taste go here!! Really the only reason I went here was because I heard there was a new cook. 3 of us went in and for the three of us it cost 40$ to eat. The potions was not worth no 40$ One person had a burger, the burger was meh, was no 1/2 burger it was a 1/4 lbs burger for 6$ way to much for that, anywhere else you can get much more for that price or a few dollar more. Other had Grilled Porkchops that I had a bite of... It really did not look grilled, looked like it was boiled then placed on a grill to darken two spots. It did not taste great or really taste like anything, I am not 100% sure how you remove flavor from porkchop but they did that. I had the Teriaki Steak, it was ok had flavor compare to the porkchop. I really do think it was the sauce more then the meat as I do not remember the taste of beef just the sauce. The House Dressing was crap, the waitress recommended it to us and said it was great, she was wrong, very wrong. The mash potato we had was meh as well, The Brown Sauce was ok... Just not something or enough for the potato... Sad day when KFC would f been a better choice then the dinner. Service was ok fast at least tho not many people around so should not be long potions was ok not great so over all, that is 1 star. The food was not worth it, if you see this place just go elsewhere, you better off not more then 10 mins away is better food in any direction. This place is for older people or people without any taste buds left.

We are a bunch of Diner junkies. From the old Tom Sawyer in Wescosville to the Blue Dolphin in Appalachin. Weve tried Snydersville twice now. Both times with a party of 5. First time it was busy but not packed (saturday at 6pm). We waited for 23 minutes to be seated while we watched several large tables remain empty. Food was your normal cheap American diner food, but prepared right and served at right temp. Server was pleasant as diner waitresses go. Second time it was not busy (Friday at 7pm, April 14, 2017) we waited in the queue for about 5 minutes before we were greated, then when we said we had 5... eyes rolled, huffs were shared, and we got the "let me check" while we were standing next to the front room with 4 empty tables that could accommodate us. She came back and said "we have nothing and dont know how long"... We left. Will not be returning. The poconos are lacking for good, fast, quality diners.

Excellent Diner! I liked what I got to eat there. I got A grilled chicken Cesar salad wrap and fries and that was really good! And while I was waiting I figured out that the diner was know for gravy and pies because most of the diners I saw going out had gravy on them and all the deserts that were going out was pie. I tried the Boston Cream Pie for the first time and I really liked it. So yep I kinda want to go back there again

First time back after about a year. For just isnt as good. Tastes like food service devilery stuff. Meats were on the tasteless side and chewey rubbery. Potatoes tasted like instant vegitables were all canned. But the coleslaw was the same.... Will never go back. Was going to order a pie while but figured if the food went that down hill the pie probably did too.... Shame was a great place

The waitress was rude and had an attitude, my fiances steak sandwich was made wrong and the the Cole slaw was disgusting. The sandwich was replaced and Cole slaw substituted but the overall customer service from this waitress is what will never have us going back! You dont have scream at your customers about why theyre wrong and expect it to be okay. If I could give a negative rating I would!

Older crowd, staff seemed stressed and angry, but hot damn that was some good breakfast food. I had a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on an English muffin, a 3 egg omlet with cheese and bacon, and home fries. So much food for only like $9.00. And they dont skimp on the bacon. My sandwich was loaded. So good for a hangover.

snydersville Diner has friendly, very efficient staff. Their burgers are great, all food is well prepared and good. Pies are their specialty. I just wish you would invest in developing your brekfast menu more. Some other local landmarks have more imaginative breakfasts that honestly can compete with Perkins and others.

This is a nice place for breakfast! The problems I have with this place are that it is cramped, has dingy lighting, and the staff can be cranky. Also, I find some of there food to be overpriced for what it is, and I would not recommend getting lunch or dinner. I would suggest going here for breakfast.
