It was our first time there. When a young working there saw I was having trouble walking he ran and opened the doors for me. The man hosting, was very friendly and gave us a table as close as he could so I did not have to walk far, then without saying a word or acting up he casually leaned on the one end of the table so it would not tip when I had to use it as a stabilizer to sit down. The waitress was one of the most pleasant we ever encountered. The drinks were large, reasonably priced - as was everything on the menu - and full of alcohol...the best frozen raspberry margarita I have ever tasted and my wifes wine was delicious and packed a kick. The food portions were large and it was very good - not the best Ive had, but certainly very good. The great service, the terrific drinks, large portions and reasonable pricing is the reason we will return to Patron. You may find better food somewhere else, but a smile, terrific service, festive atmosphere, fantastic drinks and reasonable prices are a winner anytime in my book. Try it, you will like it.

Compared to its rivals, Patron doesnt quite live up to the standard of Mexican dining in the area. The carne asada was timely, but not quite cooked to order (More on the well side.) and quite tasteless. Where it really falls flat is in terms of atmosphere. Due to its proximity to the mall, expect to get a lot of obnoxious shoppers and employees here. Looking forward to a quiet dinner? Forget it. Youd be better off eating a Taco Bell burrito on the Greyhound. El Campesino is a much better choice. On US 22 by the Jonnett building. The food is somewhat better though I was surprised to note that neither place serves drinks with rum and promptly denied my order of a Mojito. The decor is less gawdy, the seating is more comfortable, and the food tastes better.

Despite its chain restaurant exterior (this was an old chillis location afterall), the food tastes pretty authentic. I would describe it as el campasino with a remodel. Food is a buck or so more than El camps but the atmosphere is better. $3 bottles of beer all day every day (domestics) and $1 off during happy hour. Several margarita and several types of top shelf tequila are available. Tequila shots range from 6.25 to 10. They give you bottomless chips as soon as you are seated (el camps charges after the first basket) The food was good, server was nice, food came out quickly. No outdoor seating. They should definitely put some in.

I rate my restaurants on quality of food (taste & originality) and service (accessibility when you need an extra napkin or refill on a drink). Service was "good", food "Ok". Dont get the wings (bad judgement -- dont ask what was I thinking). Price point for lunch was good and the Spanish music only temporarily drove me mad. Consider eating and drinking at home.

The Margaritas were very good - we split a pitcher between 3 people and everyone had plenty. The food was served quickly, the portions were generous and it was good. One of our party used a walker and the door was held open for us when we came and left. The hostess checked and double checked to make sure we were happy with our seating arrangements.

Stopped by here on a whim. Our service was EXCELLENT! Our waitress was very nice and knew a lot about the dishes. I had the burrito where everything was inside, and tho it sounds like it would be too overwhelming to distinguish the different elements, it was GREAT! Everything was cooked perfect and came out piping hot. We will def go here again.

Excellent Atmosphere. Friendly Staff. My friends and I were pleasantly surprised by this place. The authentic Mexican decorations and hand-painted booths really make this place look nice. I had the Roast Pork dinner and it was excellent. Great Food and Great Service. If you like authentic Mexican Food be sure to check Patron out.

The food hot, fresh and made to our order. The staff was interactive and lively and accommodating. The atmosphere, although loud at times was open and able to host several large parties at the same time effectively. Only down is we wished, especially since it was a Friday and not a week night, that they were open a bit longer.

Very convenient to doubletree, huge mex fan and this place hit all the right noted. definitely check it out! Place had almost no customers and I have no idea why! Had fajitas and everything was fresh and delicious. If you try this place, rate it so others, like me, will know not to skip it!

Service was very prompt and kept the drink refills coming. Food was good overall, although we found that the chorizo was too salty. I cant say that Id recommend them over El Campesino, except that they have a liquor license, and they didnt skimp on the alcohol in my margarita.

Patron is by no means a bad restaurant, but in my opinion due to the plethora of mexican restaurants in Monroeville you really have better options out there. Ive never been a fan of the salsa for some reason, but thats probably just my taste. The food is average.

I work in Monroeville and Im not typically a huge Mexican fan but my wife takes me to Don Pablos, El Campasino and MadMex all the time because she likes it. I have to say that Patron beats all three HANDS DOWN as the best mexican in Monroeville.

Ive eaten here several times and each time the food is consistently good, the staff is courteous and the atmosphere is clean and fun. The margaritas are very good. And for the review that bashed their wings, well, it is a Mexican restaurant..

I have eaten here many times and the food, staff and atmosphere are always tops. I love mexican food and have tried many different place since moving to the area two years ago, but this place is the one that keeps calling me back.

Great atmosphere, gluten free friendly menu, great service. Vanessa was my server and took very good care of me. I will go back. The carne asada was ok, but a bit gristly and bland. Ill go for the carnitas next time.

Food was good, not great. Service was ok, not good. Environment (music, decorations, etc.) is a little obnoxious, but not to the point of being overwhelming.

Good Mexican food for a good price. Chips and salsa for all and plenty of food in each menu options to take home (and I am a bigger meal eater).!

The only thing close to really Mexican food were the tamales. Very bland tasting wish I would have saved money and bought tacos at Taco Bell.
