My husband had recently had a heart attack and this was his first "cheat" meal. We were looking forward to eating here because they had a bison burger. We were told the wait would be about 35-40 min. We were probably about 4th in line for a table. About 25 min into our wait a table closest to the front door cleared. The couple next to us anxiously watched to get called to the table but a trio walked in and sat RIGHT down at the table. The couple in front of us looked at us in disbelief and asked if we saw them speak to the hostess. My husband then alerted the hostess and she seemed overwhelmed. She leaned over to speak to the trio and told the 4 of us that they had reservations. (I thought she was lying as I didnt hear them say that and I was standing behind them) We finally get a table and my husband tells the server air the heart attack and he chose Hops because of their bison burger. The food arrived in a timely manner and asked my husband how he liked the HUGE bison burger. He said it tasted really good but he didnt expect it to be quite so large. (As hes never had a bison burger he wasnt quite sure what to expect.) When our bill arrived he noticed Bison was not on our bill but the 8oz hamburger! He asked the server about it and the server joked that if my husband had another heart attack we could sue him and blew it off. WE DIDNT FIND IT AMUSING! The next time we went out for his cheat meal my husband suggested I call to make reservations so we didnt have to wait an hour. I called only to find out that they do NOT accept reservations or call ahead seating!!!! I knew the hostess had lied. We went to Big Burger Spot instead and it was fantastic!!! Hops has lost my trust and I will not return.

Ive been going to Geeksboro for their Drink n Draw on Wednesdays for some time now. I was intrigued to see so many people come to the Hops Burger further down the strip. Today after picking my dad up from dialysis I decided to see why this spot is so highly sought after with rave reviews from my drawing mates from Geeksboro. When my father and I first got in, we were greeted immediately by a lovely young lady. Her hostess skills were pretty good given the fact she knew a table was open even though she was cleaning a high top across the dining room. Our server Lindsay was just as skilled in hospitality with suggesting the stout beer that was delicious as well as high in richness. My father and I both ordered the Diablo. My father likes to douse his Burger with various condiments before enjoying his Burger, but for the first time in awhile he enjoyed the burger without it. It was that good! The fries were golden with a crisp and hot taste as if it had immediately came out. I was impressed with how little it seemed to have grease coming off it and yet be so good. 15/10 overall. I now understand why people have to wait usually 45min minimum to grab a delicious bite. Its a great brewery that sells burgers or a burger spot that sells beer. However you take it. You have to get down to Hops Burger Bar and come in for a experience!!

Burgers and side items are well prepared and have quite a bit of preparatory art to them. Tastes good too! One burger, fries, and appetizer is more than enough for 2 people if you dont want to feel miserable afterwards. Bar staff wasnt all that helpful (asked how the medium cooked burger comes out and the response was "like everyone elses") BIggest reason for 3 stars instead of 5 is I cant stand it when an establishments beer menu doesnt have the prices. Every detail about the draught beers (where its from, alcohol content, etc.) is all there, but no price. This is especially frustrating considering they serve some high gravity items and lower ABV beers which certainly arent all going to be the same price. Oddly enough, beer bottles have prices, as does the wine list. Overall a good place to visit, good food, nicely decorated and good floor plan.

I love Hops rotating, seasonal beer selection and local draft beers. Their burgers are delicious, and the specials are always creative and tempting. The North Carolinian burger got me hooked on burgers with a fried egg on top. The Classic is great if you want to keep it simple. You can also customize your burger or get a veggie patty instead of meat. Their Mad Haddock is the most impressive fish sandwich Ive had. Really, everything is good here! The desserts from Cheesecakes by Alex and Maxie Bs are also amazing. And the bartenders and staff are all friendly and efficient. One of my favorite places.

This place was AWESOME. Weve lived in the Triad for over a year now and were just now getting around to trying Hops. And it was for sure worth the 35 minute drive from Kernersville. I had the Spicy Goat burger and my husband had the Diabolo. The food was amazing, our server, Lindsey, was amazing, and even told us about the kids menu that isnt available on the actual menu. The atmosphere is that of a cute little tavern, and they have a lot of local beers from around NC. We will for sure be back (maybe for date night without the kids. Lol). Highly recommend.

Best burgers in the state. Staff is always super nice. Usually busy with a decent wait during peak times but Geeksboro is a great coffee shop next door to grab coffee and play board games while you wait. Parking, although better than the Spring Garden location, is still pretty bad. Sometimes you have to park at the end of the parking lot which is a good walk. All that aside, the restaurant is well worth the wait. Good beer selection. Their "featured" burger is always very unique. Definitely check this place out. Its a Greensboro gem.

The atmosphere was great. There was a 20 min wait just after noon, but thats to be expected. I tried the Diablo burger that comes with jalapeño everything. It was tasty but not overly flavorful. The burger itself was prepared really well. They have several other specialty burgers that Im interested in trying when I return. You can also upgrade to bison. Lastly they offer several styles of fries that come with different toppings. The service was really good as well. Id recommend you give it a try if youre in the area.

Ive eaten at both restaurants in Greensboro NC. The one on Spring Garden , Great food, I received Decent service there. Today I ate at the Laundale location. I couldnt help but feel like the Bartender was nervous I wouldnt tip or pay for my check.. I could tell, words didnt have to be said, He was never Rude .. My burger was average I still tipped 5$. on a 13$ tab. Its a shame the lack of faith we have in each other as people.

If you are looking for a great place for a vegan meal this is it! I love their mushroom cauliflower patty with guacamole. I hear their other food is amazing too. It is a pretty popular place so expect a wait. They also will not seat you if your entire party is not there, heads up. When I have a long wait time I usually head next door to Geeksboro to grab a drink and play some board games until my table is ready.
