I eat out often at Indian Buffets and have been to many as I have lived all over the US and growing up in Toronto, which has many excellent Indian restaurants I know what works and what does not. This is by far THE worst Indian buffet I have EVER been too. As others have mentioned it is dirty and the restaurant is drab, but thats not that the main issue. The main issue is the terrible food. The American customers who come here are being conned into thinking this is good North Indian food its NOT. Where do I start, the rice was hard, the veg dishes tasted like someone had doused ammonia in it, the butter chicken tasted like cheetos, all the dishes were just doused with random spices there was no flavor. The deserts were served cold in the dead of winter. NOBODY serves gulab jamun or rice pudding/payasam cold . The owners surly wife was incredibly rude and uncouth and was arguing with me because I asked for the rice pudding to be warmed lol. Another thing she was dressed in a tattered top and stained leggings and a urinous odor was emanating out of her. Clearly personal hygiene is not her forte and I guess this translates into the restaurant as all. AVOID this place and just drive to restaurants in Pittsburgh

I hate it the food was not healthy at all as i suffered severe stomach pain after eating at this place but they have weirdest policy ever It was ridiculous, as I hear some stores not accepting credit cards below $10, but this is completely opposite. The owner doesnt want to accept cards when the bill was $600(birthday party). He wanted check. Thats ok, if he could have informed us before. But he was mad and behaved weirdly, when we said we dont have check with us. Then he wanted us to bring the check later and until then he wanted to hold our credit card along with a white paper signed (for god knows why?). We said we have no intention to sign on a blank paper or bring check the next day. We said we want to pay with credit card as it was impossible for us to travel back and forth from monroville to pittsburgh at 10.30pm. He got out of control and just took card from out hands in an inappropriate way charged it. This was untolerable behavior i ever saw in USA. he is a joke. Do not go to this palce.

Well, unfortunately, I didnt enjoy this restaurant. The vegetable thali didnt come out with all the parts it was supposed to have. I asked about one of the missing items and they brought it at the end. They also did not bring the tea that was supposed to come with it. I ordered spice level 5/10 and could not detect spice, which was too bad, but I am used to spicy Indian food. : ( It seemed to be an Indian restaurant for people unfamiliar with authentic Indian cuisine. This isnt necessarily negative, especially if youre just trying Indian food out for the first time, but it does make a difference in the experience and the taste of the food. The server was very nice and jokey, which we appreciated. The decor was cute and interesting with lots of Indian items. Just as a matter of personal preference that others may identify with, I want to mention that I was bummed when a large and loud family with children was seated next to my girlfriend and I when the rest of the restaurant was nearly empty.

If you like Indian food or feeling adventurous to try spicy food, this is a good restaurant to start. There are quite a variety of choice from the buffet selection. Buffet is served during lunchtime. Thats the better time to sample more selection than just to order ala carte from the menu. The ambiance is simple but the flavors lie with the food. Food is good. The tandoori chicken is well marinated and done right. The berani chicken rice is done like homecooking that I like. There are quite a few vegetables dishes ranging from buttery flavors to sweet and salty. Overall, my lunch visit was fullfilling and satisfying. The only improvement that I would recommend is for the management to maintain a clean washroom. It looks like it is in need of a renovation with a new paint and get it odor free or install a air refreshner.

I was here during past Friday(Thanksgiving weekend) for dinner takeout. I was craving for Indian food for dinner as it was long weekend and was planning to go to near by Penn Hills temple next day morning. I did order a takeout ( one Clay oven dry Paneer Ticka) and three rotis, and person said it will cost $18 plus tax for the meal which I agreed. When I collected the item 20 minutes later at the restaurant, the owner billed me $31.67 and I was confused as this is high price for a single dish with 3 rotis. When I inquired, the owner said , the price of the Paneer dry ticka was $18 and rest was for rotis which is high comparing with NY, NJ area restaurants. I didnt argue for $13 dollars, but when I tasted food at hotel, I felt it was not worth as the dish was extremely spice. DO not go here, not worth it.

This place is just good in ambiance. If you understand the taste of good Indian food, its not the place for you. I think their buffet is a better option because you get options if you dont like one food. I went there 3-4 times with my wife for dinner and every time the food was bad and the quantity was less for the price. I have been to almost all Indian Restaurants in Pittsburgh suburbs and I must says: If you like vegetarian food the only good place to go is Udipi Cafe. Tamarind(flavor of india in cranberry especially) comes second on my list.

I used to come here with my dad and my whole family when I was just 5 years old, despite the almost hour long drive it took us. I remain a loyal costumer as I live closer now. Great quality food, nice reliable staff, beautiful homey atmosphere, hilarious Indian Channel music videos playing all day were especially great when I was a kid to keep me entertained, clean bathrooms, hot fresh food with crazy varieties at the buffet. All in all I LOVE THIS PLACE. You should try it because you will not be disappointed. Prepare for spice!

Great restaurant to eat...I come from Atlanta and a very picky eater given the choices I have in Atlanta but this place is...I must say great Indian fare in Metro Pittsburgh. The waiters are nice and owner is very caring and thoughtful about the customer. I highly recommend trying the buffet on Tuesday nights (Tip: go early if you are planning to get the buffet). My favourite is the kabab platter (mix of all kababs)...I can eat that all day. Keep it up guys!

BEST FOOD, CLEAN PLACE, HYGIENIC, GREAT TASTE If you really understand the taste of India, this is the place you need to go. Better than any other restaurent. Their hospitality is also the best. They know how to make friends at business and satisfy customer. I will always go there and try their food. Will never try any other restaurant for INDIAN FOOD. And I like Indian food better than any other food. Love it, Like it, Refer it

The buffet was slightly colder than optimal and my favorite dish, chicken Tikka Masala, consisted only of the saucy remnants of an otherwise delicious Indian buffet staple. While the garlic naan was tasty, it seemed like it was on the cusp of expiration, possibly leftovers from the previous day. It could be that Wednesday lunchs food is inferior to the weekends. The service, however, was fantastic and the price very reasonable.
