Appetizer: Hummus and Blue fire fries. Super yummy. Best apps and very creative. There was alot so we needed to box up the apps to take home for later. Caesar salad. Super good. Waiter Gary was very good. Filled drinks when needed and asked about the wine my wife ordered. Knew a ton of info on the menu and foods which was helpful. Gary understood how the kitchen made these amazing foods. Main course. Steak and Cake...steak was rare. Also got Redskin mashed potatoes. Potatoes are to die for. Presentation was very well done. Crab cake is one of the best. Not over done with filling which some places do to save on the crab meat. Not here. The crab cake was perfect. It came with a roasted red pepper sauce that went with it well and was on the side so you can choose the amount you want to use eating. The steak was done rare. The Cooks here know what they are doing. Perfect rare to me. Also had mushrooms which were seared to perfection. Eat bit of steak was followed my the mushroom for that added flavor. My wife and I had some food to take home. So to rap up Staff- Very good to amazing and knowledgeable...cooks know their flavors. Apps- very good and creative Main course- some of the best Ive had in the Pittsburgh area. These people know food and flavors. They treat the customer at a rate above royalty and are always helpful. You need to try this place and then take or send someone you like and also likes great food to this place.

The food is really good here - I have never had a bad steak here, and I come here often. The key is to ask for "medium rare" or "rare" - if you ask for "well done" you might get something charred - that has been my experience with many other steak houses around the country. I have two issues with this restaurant: first is with the kids meals - they will give you a salad/vegetable and a steak/seafood, and then really nothing else with it, and I really think that no kid should be on the South Beach diet (which is what this looks like). My kids were starving, and ended up eating my dinner. Second issue has to do with the fact that it is really dark inside - so the bifocal set have a hard time reading the menu. Flashlights would be great for this - or just turning up the lights overall. I never like a dark restaurant, I always think it hides the dust. I know this is trendy, to eat in the dark, but this is not Manhattan: I dont need dim lighting to disguise the age of my date, the cleanliness of the establishment, or the quality of my food.

My fiancee and I ate lunch here while trying out places for our rehearsal dinner. We were VERY impressed by the Springfield Grille from the moment we stepped in. It is beautifully decorated with a very pleasant atmosphere. While some of their dinner entrees are on the expensive side (but reasonable considering how nice and formal the restaurant is), the lunch options are quite reasonable. My fiancee ordered a turkey sandwich with fries, which she enjoyed. I tried the fries, and they were definitely freshly made. I had the "penne in pink," one of the specials for the day. It was a mix of penne, cheese (including fresh Parmesan cheese), garlic, onions, and a hint of spice. It was wonderful. I elected to have the soup of the day as well, which was Spicy Turtle soup, which was one of the most interesting and wonderful things I have ever tasted. Our meals also came with an assortment of breads, all of which were good. Service was excellent, food was excellent, atmosphere was excellent, and the prices were extremely reasonable. 5 stars!!!

Food was OK. The 4-star pricing was not commensurate with the quality of food. I had a steak that was charred pretty badly on one side, and loaded with some salty mix of seasoning on the other. Mashed potatoes were loaded with salt too. I think this meal raised my PB so high, I about burst a blood vessel. By the time I got back to my hotel, I had a killer headache. Had to take some Tylenol, drank about 1 gallon of water to rehydrate, then went straight to bed due to the overall bad feeling after dining at this salt mine! Also the place is crowded and crammed-packed with a bunch of snobby people that dont realize this place is just one notch above OCharleys. Actually, OCharleys has better food.

Took my wife for her birthday. Ordered an appetizer and dinner. The appetizer was delicious. My wife ordered the 8 oz sirloin medium with the ham and cabbage soup as one of her sides. Couldnt find ham in the soup. When her steak came it was well done. Sent it back and the manager came over to apologize. I was finished with my dinner before her steak came out. We told the waitress to just package up the steak. The manager came out apologized again and comped our meal and offered us each a desert which we had them pack up to take home also.

The menu selection and the food were excellent. The wait time for a table (for three) on a Saturday evening was 25 minutes, which is understandable. Our waiter (Dan) was awesome. The only thing I didnt like was that when our table was ready, the hostess just expected us to follow her into the bar area to eat. I feel she shouldve asked us if we MINDED sitting in the bar area first, especially because we were taking our mother for her 86th birthday, and a bar scene just did not fit the occasion.

We had our rehearsal dinner at Springfield Grille and the location was great. Our hostess was great at giving us exactly what we wanted when we needed it, tended the open bar, and even gave my father an extra piece of cake when he changed his mind at the last minute! Nice room, spacious for 15 people, and they had TVs if we wanted to use them. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant and bar from what I saw walking in as well. Food was delicious!

Delicious calamari appetizer and great Springfield Crab cake. The baked potatoe was made perfectly. The cheese broccoli soup was served cold, which was supposed to be warm but it was still delicious. The wine selection was good for a lunch on Saturday afternoon. The music was 90s and before and the true American sound. Waiter, Jeff, was excellent and helpful as well. Recommend trying it at least once.

This place is delicious, a bit pricy if youre not used to the food they have to offer but not horribly overpriced. Everything I can think of is absolutely wonderful, the steaks, burgers, I even got a Caramel covered chicken breast stuffed with cherries. It was amazing. Would go there many more times, hope it stays in business for awhile!

The food is really excellent and for a large group very accommodating. We had a Christmas get together here and it was a great time. I dont get a chance to come here all the time but if you like tasty food, this is a great choice. Be sure to get a reservation if youre going during dinner rush hours. It will be a wait for a table.
