I would have given this restaurant a five star rating, however, the waitress my 90 year old mother and I had, Linda, was beyond rude! My mother lives here in PA and I am coming from CA. My dogs and I made the long drive across country and we all fared out very well. If people were as well treated as my dogs this would be a happier world. AND if our waitress Linda were as well treated as my dogs, she would not be working as a waitress at a diner. But back to the review....I brought my mother here as a late lunch "treat" after driving all day looking at real estate. Yes, it was a hot day but the sun was on the wane at close to 4 PM and my 2 dogs were very happy with their large bowl of water lying down on cushions in the large back space of my Jeep Patriot. And there were constant breezes coming through all the wide open car windows. Our waitress, Linda, as soon as I got my mother seated and out of her walker, told me my dogs had no place in the back of my jeep. So, I asked her if she wanted me to bring them into the restaurant...LOL. She gave the distinct impression she wanted us to leave the restaurant. Though my dogs had plenty of water all day, my elderly mother and I had not, and when we asked for water, Linda, so concerned about my dogs, took her damn time serving my mother and I glasses of water. She never check on us during the meal...never brought refills of our water glasses until I had to ask her twice, and she rudely handed us our bill, slapped the carry away boxes in front of us and that was the end of her service. She never asked us about dessert or coffee, or refills of our beverages. She never smiled or said "thank you" or anything. It was a God-awful experience for my mother and I. And of course, my dogs were happy as larks waiting for us to return to them resting comfortably in the breezes coming through my open car windows knowing they will be the recipients of our doggie bags. We will not return to this place because of the rude and poor service by the middle aged waitress named "Linda".

Food is really pretty good. Not too many options for vegetarians when vacationing out here and they have several. Breakfast is good personal pizzas tasty and you can sub a veggie burger for any hamburger option. HOWEVER... service is insanely slow. Dinner took 45 min to arrive and breakfast our next day took a little over an hour. Completely crazy. Also... I guess were just not in jersey anymore so life is DIFFERENT out here but the stares from old bigots as I dined with my interracial family were alarming. I know it was pretty obvious we werent from round these parts, but the majority of the restaurant stared as if they had never seen black folk in their lives. Disturbing. We took the high road and chose to make silly faces at them and giggle bUT its really quite infuriating. In summary.. only eat here if your Caucasian country folk and if your willing to wait a good hour for your meal.

First time visiting today and I will never go back. First the waitress shows up to the table to get drink orders and hurry off, we asked for French onion soup and it must have bothered her. It took her quite a bit to come back for our order & to bring the French onion soup. She sets it down one has the cheese melted and brown as it should be, the other has shredded cheese thats not melted. I complained and she says lots of people like it that way. Ive never bought French onion soup and had the cheese unmelted. We didnt stay any longer, I sent the soup back and paid for drinks and left. What a let down.

Absolutely the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. The place seemed interesting at first but after looking around it was so dirty I couldnt believe it. There was old milkshake stain on the ceiling behind the counter. The waitress took our order and never came back... we waited over 30 minutes for chili and a sandwich that never came, even after all that time had gone by. Zero check-ins from the waitress and zero explanation. We ended up leaving more hungry than we came and went somewhere else. Just avoid this place. Youre not missing anything. 1 star is generous.

We went in for a quick bite. It was 2:30 in the afternoon and there were about 4 other tables in various stages of their meals. It took the waitress 20 minutes to get us our drinks (just the boyfriend and I), when I finally got my omlette it was very brown and felt like leather. When I complained I was told thats how an omlette is made. I beg to differ, I told her it was disgusting and I would not be eating it. I had to complain again at the register to have the food (being generous) removed from my bill. Staff is slow to respond and uncaring. Poor customer service!

Used to eat there once or twice a week; several months ago. Most of the time, not a great experience. The vast majority of the time the food wasnt that good and overpriced for the lack of quality. Also 9 times out of 10, they were out of at least one ingredient that the dish called for. We went back there about a month ago to try it again. Same typical experience as before; different day. They were out of eggplant that day.(as they were several times in the past) There are better places in the area.

In my opinion, The Beacon 443 has the best best breakfast in the county. The service is excellent as is the food. My wife and I have been coming here for 11 years without a complaint. The owners (Chris & Rick) treat people like family. The waitresses treat us like they would treat their family too. We highly recommend the Beacon 443. The food and the people who work here are top notch. KUDOS to the BEACON 443 and STAFF!!

Poor service. Waited 20 minutes for breakfast. Not even once did anyone come to say anything about the wait. We asked for the check to leave without eating and the cashier never once apologized, but gave us a attitude with excuses excuses. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would never recommend to anyone! First impressions are everything and they did nothing to even try to excuse their lack of service.

Good food, good prices. We always come with a large group including lots of little kids. The staff always treats us professionally and never get rattled. They are patient and attentive even if the food is slow coming out. We give allowance for the slow food since there are twenty of us. However, when the food does come out, it is hot and all together, (no small task). Always enjoyable!

Wow. What a mistake. The staff is nice. Yet, they messed up the drink order and the breakfast order. The deckor is horrible and looks dirty. Of course the look of the place makes me worry about the kitchens cleanliness. The cheeseburger that I waited for was still partially frozen. Do yourself a favor and drive a few extra miles to anywhere else.
