I dont understand the reviews of this restaurant. My wife order the minestrone soup. She had to send it back. I was like no minestrone either of us ever ate. More like chilly; thick like paste. maybe the boiled all the broth away? I hoped the lasagna would be better. Wrong. I have never tasted lasagna like this. It should taste like meat, cheese and tomato sauce. Well, it was what looked like lasagna, served in a bowl, covered with mozzarella, but what was that taste? I still can not identify it. And the sauce was a dark red, almost black paste. Now Ive eaten at some pretty poor restaurants in my life and Im not particularly picky; if it tastes half decent, if its eatable, Im ok with it. But this wasnt. This was, without a doubt, the worst restaurant I have ever entered. I would say eaten at, but we simple could not eat what was served. Well, thats not 100% accurate. The salad was decent. The rest was not fit for a dog. I think even a homeless person would walk out of this place. Garbage.

The food is good. I live near this restaurant and have eaten here often. We ate there today and had a problem. The one person refused to accept my coupon for ridiculous reasons. Other workers there accept it with no problem. She said it was because we had specials and we did not. We had regularly priced meals from the menu. Then she said they do not accept the coupon at breakfast. and like i said every other employee there never had a problem with our coupons in the past. I explained to her we can go to another local restaurant in the area that has wonderful breakfast for a much lower price and she did not care. so needless to say we will be taking our business elsewhere from now on.

Was in Lancaster, PA recently on business - used TripAdvisor to find a good place to eat dinner - Silver Spring Family Restaurant was #2 on the list - I had the Taco Soup (delicious) and the Ham Loaf dinner (like Mom used to make) - the food was great and the staff very friendly - there were many other items on the menu I would like to try so I plan to visit here often - I am surprised that they are only #2, I think they should be #1 on the Lancaster list

Good down home homemade cookin! I have eaten here often... and have NEVER been disappointed. The food is always excellent... the atmosphere is casual and friendly. The prices are VERY reasonable and you usually dont have room for dessert... although they are delicious too! The staff is professional and courteous. Jordan is an outstanding waitress, outgoing, pretty and fun to joke around with. Well-worth going back again and again!

Not sure what all the hype for this restaurant is all about. The food was fine. Nothing special. We ordered the Crab soup. Veggies were over cooked and there wasnt a lot of flavor. My husband ordered the chicken panini. Again it was just okay. I ordered the Greek wrap. It had a good amount of feta cheese, lettuce and tomato, Really expected more from the restaurant the was ranked #2 in the Lancaster area on Trip Advisor.

First visit to Silver Springs and it will become one of my new favorites. The breakfast was great and with the daily special was under $5. The waitress Georgette was one of the best waitresses Ive had in a long time. She went out of her way to make sure my meal was gluten-free since I have Celiac Disease. Dont forget to sign up for their frequent customer card and a free meal up to a $10 during your month of birth.

As a regular to this place, I can tell you they are consistently excellent. The ownership has pride in their establishment and the staff is always pleasant and efficient. I will continue to go here for a LONG time and you should too! They also have the best darn sweet tea!

My family meets here every Saturday for breakfast for a reason - good food & great service. There is usually 8-12 of us & our waitress Kim takes care of all our special requests! The food is great - terrific eggs benedict, French toast & wonderful specialty omelets!

Great for breakfast, but always a line out the door. They have some interesting dishes - if you can get the oatmeal and applesauce pancakes (not always on special), youre in for a treat. Very nice service, too.

This is a great little hole-in-the-wall. We just went for our first time and were pleasantly surprised. They have fantastic cakes and desserts in their desert cooler. Nice size helpings and a reasonable price.

Always excellent service. Very polite stafff. You are made to feel welcome. Food is always very good. Only bad thing I can say is that the 4 piece fried chicken is smaller than when we first came here.

The food and service is excellent. Raspberry ice was "awesome sauce". Hot chocolate was amazing. The chocolate milk was "mmmmm yummy". The portions were large and the home fries, the best! A must eat!

My steak was good and the salad was good but hubbys fish and chips was a joke. Two little pieces of fish for $11.00. Very disappointed! Would not go back. I was expecting more of an Amish type food.
