This was our first time there and well never go back! The value is just not there. Not even greeted of made to feel welcome upon entering. Coffee and tea were both watered down. My $5.95 "3 egg" bacon omelet appeared to be made from only ONE small egg. That price only included toast. The Reuben sandwich my wife ordered was soaked in grease. It only came with a very small 25 cent bag of chips that the waitress rudely threw on top of the sandwich. Most decent restaurants would include fries or another side for the same price. The salad bar looked fresh enough but is way overpriced for the selection available (even as an add on to your meal). My grandsons fish and chips were adequate but its hard to mess up fried food. No effort was made to ask us how our meals were by the waitress. So, I thought Id wait until I paid up front to voice our opinion. Yes, she asked how was everything but when I answered that we were very disappointed, not one more word came out of her mouth. I added that we were not coming back. I guess it must be OK for the locals who have no other options, but well never return.

Im really disappointed that they got rid of wheat dinner rolls. They were really good these new white rolls are not cooked throughly and no one in my family or people I know that come here dont like these new white rolls and they dont think the rolls are cooked enough either and dont have a taste either. Drink cups are too small. They used to be bigger. Service is sometimes really slow, once it took a hour plus to get food and eat it too. The chips that come with sandwiches I dont like either prefer baked chips not fried ones. They also should add more kinds of steak delmonic too fatty too. Sometimes I eat less than half of steak because of too much fat in steak. I would also like if they served breakfast all day like most family restaurants serve breakfast all day. If there were more Resturants in in the area I would leave and never come back to Country Table again. Dont feel welcome either never once actually did I feel welcome. I dont think they have enough help sometimes being slow. The food is sometimes over cooked sometimes I sent it back being brunt to a crisp.

10/2012~~The Country Table is a long established restaurant in the area. We live in Carlisle and had family in Mt Joy for 50 years. Relatives loved to eat here. Years ago it changed hands and you can tell the service and quality is not up to par as in the past. A few years ago, I had the turkey dinner which is fresh roasted turkey but it was mostly gristle and not fit to eat. The meal was taken off our tab. Dont get the iced tea...it tastes like water. Had breakfast here one week ago (on our way to MD)and it was good. Its better if you sit at a booth...better service than the dining area, food is hotter. Would go back again for breakfast. The restaurant is showing its age and the landscaping outside is all weeds. CT still has its followers though. Under the former management, the CT was attractive, clean, nice landscaping but the new owners have not invested in any changes/up-keep.

My husband and I always love eating here; its our go-to spot for Sunday morning breakfast with our baby. Their prices are typical diner prices and yet the food and portion sizes are always above average! The wait staff is usually pretty on point. We have only ever had one bad server there who on multiple occasions forgot us (forgot our drinks, left our food under the heat lamp for 45 minutes, scoffed when we sent it back), but we know now that she doesnt ever work the booths so we always always always request to sit in a booth. Their baked goods are to die for! We have had quite a bit of their donuts, cakes, and pastries and we were so blown away by how good everything tasted that we bought our infants 1st birthday cake and smash cake from them! Everyone ranted and raved about how amazing the icing was. This cake was PERFECT and it was literally every single thing we asked for it to be.

Once upon a time there was a wonderful restaurant and bakery by the name of Country Table. My family and I were frequent diners. The food was homemade and delicious. The baked goods, well, absolutely decadent. Then The owners decided to sell. What took over or who, changed the quality of everything. They also took out the beautiful gift shop. Renting the space out to a bank. The bake goods look tempting but dont be fooled by looks. They are very lacking in flavor. And many are just way too dry. The apple crumb pie topping was too thick and dry and the apples were crunchy not cooked through. The meals to go which are also sold in the bake shop lack much flavor. For anyone one on a salt free flavor free bland diet, they are perfect for you. The whole experience of this place is disappointing now. I wont go back.

My husband and I have been going to Country Table since it first opened by the original owners in the early 1980s. Thats when it was the best. Last week, we decided to go out to eat and the reason we chose Country Table was to indulge in some homemade wheat rolls. Sad to say, we were served a roll that was not homemade, but purchased frozen. Also, the side dishes were smaller. I know there are some other changes, as well. Whats interesting is the delicious homemade rolls are sold in the bakery, just not given out for customers to enjoy with their meals. We have decided that after many years, our trips to Country Table have ended. There is an excellent restaurant in Myerstown, named Country Fare, which serves wonderful homemade rolls, and the food is delicious. You might want to try it.

Stopped here for the first time on Saturday evening. We were seated quickly. Our server came promptly and ask us if were ready to order. Large menu. Prices modest. We ordered roast turkey picked off the bone with homemade filling and gravy. Homemade mashed potatoes with gravy. I had the corn relish which was excellent. Best turkey I have ever eaten in a restaurant. Large dessert menu. I had Cherry crumb pie with ice cream. Just okay. My partner had Tropical Paradise cake which is the May special dessert. Freshly made cake was moist... excellent choice. Will certainly be back for their turkey again.

Growing up as a child my grandparents loved it here, but things changed which is a bit sad in a way, some of the staff are very slow the buns you now get, are often rock hard and dry, the food is not always well cooked, I will still come by from time to time but not like I used to, there needs to be more young blood around who are energetic and kind, honestly there should be a make over and focus more on mount joy to almost make it a tourist stop in a way maybe have music playing on very low. Anywho again we will still come time to time but nothing like the good old days
