My friend and I went to try this place out and I certainly wish we hadnt! It began with a greeter/waitress with a less than welcoming attitude, an aggressive close talking waiter and its cash only which is annoying. Okay, still I was excited about the food and the prices seemed more than decent. This was of course until they brought out the food. I have never been to a restaurant with entrees this tiny! I mean super small! Still, Im ready to dive in. Can we say disappointment! I ordered blackened shrimp and grits which was basically a bowl of salt in grease. Ive never tasted anything so awful and dangerous lol. My friend ordered pan seared cat fish. Lets just say we were looking for the rest of the fish and it was obvious it wasnt seared smh. So, in an attempt to save my evening I ordered the mac and cheese (after sending back a full bowl of shrimp and grits) annnnndddddd more salt! The tables on either side of ours all made the same complaints of overly salty food, small portions and just flat out disappointment. The only thing that saved our night was the wine we brought with us. Cheers to NEVER eating here again.

This place cannot accommodate a large party. I went there with a group of approximately 16 people, and there was another group there of about 10 people, of course we had to make reservations, so it wasnt like the chef didnt know he was going to have a lot of people. There was only one waitress who did a great job considering that it was just her. The food was so-so, nothing to write home to Mom about!!!! The chef forgot my order and tried to blame it on the waitress when confronted about it. My meal came as the rest of my party was about to order dessert, so I didnt pay for it, and was given a free dessert, which was actually pretty good. I actually did like the BYOB so I can have what I want to drink and not pay a fortune. I dont like the cash only because merchant credit card fees are not that high and its inconvenient because hardly anybody carries around cash anymore. I would NOT recommend this place to anybody unfortunately because as a Black person, we try to patronize our own, but not with that type of service!!!!

Wow what a treat! I had high expectations considering the chef used to cook for some of my favorite restaurants in Jenkintown! We celebrated our 2 year engagement today! We had mac & cheese, brussel sprouts, fried chicken, crabless cake and bread pudding! Every bite was full of flavor and cooked to perfection! The chicken was crispy outside and tender inside! Reasonable prices for the quality! The portions are "small plate" but we left feeling full. Parking is mainly on the street but there are spots available. We cant wait to visit the new location in Erdenheim! Highly recommend this place!

The food was very good. The portion sizes are EXTREMELY small. I know it says small plates, but this was small tapas size plates. I had a fried chicken dish which came some greens. The greens were very good, however, they amounted to about 1-2 tablespoons in size - very disappointing. The fried chicken was 1 - 1 1/2 pieces of high quality boneless skinless breast and was very good.

Great atmosphere but unable to accommodate a large party. Food was not impressive or worthy of a mention. One waitress for 25 people (she did well considering) Food was not worth the hefty per person charge. Chicken n waffles consisted of a frozen Eggo and two wings that were cold and inedible. The best thing was the BYOB, which saved the event.

food was burnt , received one Frozen Eggo Waffle with two overly burnt chicken wings... they didnt have enough food to serve a big party many of us had to share food! Very small and cramped place . Wasnt happy with the prices either for the amount of food u get. Do not go here . Complete waste of money better off going to outback up the street

Thks place is warm. Very intimate and simply awesome. The service is priceless. The food is Amazing . The chef is a very personal person. He comes out greet all the guest and even chat with you. Its very hard to find a place worth giving 5 stars and truly mean it. Southern belle is an excellent place located in Jenkintown. West ave.

The worst restaurant I experience ever. Overpriced for nothing. Food was burnt, took my grandma here for her 65th birthday and it was awful! So disappointment . Little portions just flat out bad overall experience . Wouldnt recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The food was very tasty. The waitstaff was very nice. The portions were very small. It was more of a small plate menu but not at a small plate price. I was surprised to see 1 piece of fried chicken on the plate when it was delivered. Sorry wont be back.

The ambiance is wonderful. They play now music. The food was excellent. And the wait staff was nice. Also, the owner/chef usually comes to greet his diners and chats for a bit. Its BYOB.
