I dont like to write reviews however tonights highly advertised anniversary event was horrible. We let the not having our drinks on tap and telling us 20 minutes after we had put our order in that you also ran out of the appetizer go. Recommending the advertised 50 cent wings in place of what you ran out of yet charged us full price on the wings (which we inquired about when we first got there but was told the special didnt apply to us) we let that go. The not telling us the specials of the night was fine too, no biggie. Waiting 20 minutes for our drinks to come out and having to ask another waitress for condiments since our waitress never came back was even pretty annoying but again fine.(They werent even busy!!!) What sealed the deal was receiving cold food that didnt even taste good. The fried chicken dish had zero flavor that ketchup and maple syrup couldnt even fix. The beans tasted as if they came out of a can and was left in the fridge. The dish was hardly touched and the waitress could tell something was wrong. The burger was burnt when asked for medium but yet cold when it came out. (How does that even happen????) The fries were also cold. It seemed as though our food sat in the back for a good while. We were charged for the app they didnt even have that we didnt get. Such a waste of money. Oh and if you go during this anniversary special... The highly advertised mystery bag that everyone that dines gets to pick from... we had to ask for it and only one of us got to pick from it. Others who came in and ate didnt get to do this so be sure to ask for it before you leave if you decide to go. I would not recommend wasting money on this place. Not worth it at all.

Went for Sunday dinner with six friends, we started off with some small plates; the ricotta and grilled peach salad, Portuguese octopus, mac and cheese, short bread rib flatbread and braised Brussel sprouts. They all were exceptional, excellent flavors and presentations. Next we ordered our entrée’, I had the roasted salmon with wild mushrooms, pea puree and an amazing green-tea oyster consommé; this was one of the best fish dishes I have eaten all year. My guests ordered various dishes; Filet mignon, vegetables pot pie, grilled salmon, NY strip all were excellent (The filet and NY strip were served on a carving board which was a nice touch). They also have a good selection of wines and beers, we ordered the Le Vie en Rose Rose’ and Guenoc Chardonnay both were excellent and reasonable priced, the Rose’ was the standout of the two

Recently went to an excellent Italian wine tasting at Roberts Block on Tuesday 7/26. We tasted two whites, two reds and one dessert wine, all accompanied with appetizer portions of food pairings. First wine was the La Cala Vermentino di Sardegna (DOC) from Sardinia, a great wine with seafood, Crisp, fresh, dry white wine with floral and minerals overtones. it was paired with a Tomato saffron shrimp with fregola sarda. My favorite wine of the night. Next we had the Vernaccia di San Gimignano, a white Italian wine from Tuscany (DOCG) The Vernaccia had a rounder, more full-bodied profile than the Vermentino and was the tasting favorite, it was paired with a Brie and Raspberry en croute.

Ive had some really great meals and a couple not so great...once had some undercooked risotto and this place doesnt know how to cook a steak. I asked for medium rare, got it well, sent it back (I RARELY send food back, but this was seriously overcooked and not at all what I asked for). Sent out another that was rare, which I kept as I dont usually mind rare, but it was like rubber, had a few bites then took it home and fed it to my dog. She loved it. Most of the food has been really good though... meatloaf, shepards pie, and had some kind of fish (swordfish maybe? Dont remember...) which were all really good. Cool trendy spot, great bar, but havent been back since the steak.

The selection was alright - but the beer I wanted to try was kicked, which was a bit of a let down. The hummus plate was good, but beware, they skimp in the veggies. The rest of the food was great - the tomato bisque was very tasty. I havent sat in their driving room, but the bar is very comfortable and clean.

Unfortunately Im going to have to edit my prior review. Since being taken over by new owners the wonderful happy hour has been replaced with one less inviting. A real shame because its such a nice, quiet place. Just a bit less appealing now. Hopefully things will change for the better. :-)

Wow. This is THE place. Solid performance; food, drink, atmosphere, service, cost and parking. 4/5 as their chef is onboarding and sometimes the live music is too loud but Ill choose this place over any other restaurant/bar in the area... and I am notoriously finicky.

Have only been for a holiday party. The menu was limited but the food was very good. I had the chicken pot pie. One of the best I have ever had. They could use a little sound treatment. It can get pretty loud.

Great food, friendly waitress. Our waitress was well infomed with menu to help us make ordering decisions. Unfortunately no one taught this lovely young woman how to serve.

Located next to the Glenside train station in a beautifully restored building. The food is really excellent if a little pricey. They do offer live music on Friday night.
